Background:
Cyean and mother were found by a noble while he was returning home, while going through a Forest which Cyean never found out. Both mother and infant seemed close to death. Not knowing what to do with the two the noble brought both of them to his home. They took care of both them until his mother was well enough to speak. She told of how she was traveling with her husband and was attacked by wolves. She ran with her child for many days hoping to find someone. The wife of the Noble had taken Cyean's mother on a maid because she had a son, Cyean's age and she did not want to leave them out.
Cyean was raised among nobles and their knights most of his life. The noble who found him and his mother had taken him under his wing and had his knights train him in the ways of a knight. He did this because Cyean had saved him from an assassin by raising the alarm. Cyean was from a line of knights even if he did not know it because his mother kept it from him, his great-grandfather and everyone in his line before him had been part of an ancient knight order. This heritage went as far back to ages long forgotten, he took to this training
Along with him for his training was the son of the noble who found Cyean and his mother to stay in the house. The son's name is Theodric. The knights trained both of them at the same time so the boys would have someone to gauge their skill level with. Cyean and Theodric were evenly matched for much of their training. They could never beat each other in a fight, no matter how many times they dueled each other for practice. This caused them to become good friends.
When Cyean was a teenage he and Theodric went out on a hunt in the Forest near the Knight's holdings. They had caught a buck, as they were returning back to their home when they were attacked by bandits. Theodric was wounded by an arrow before the bandits came upon them. Cyean fought hard protect his friend and keep his own life. Cyean killed two bandits before he was wounded. At the least moment however patrol of the knight's men appeared and saved their lives. The knights had been looking for the bandits because of reports. From that point on Theodric made Cyean his personal knight for the honor and courage he showed.
Theodric and Cyean had gone on many adventures as they grew older until finally they heard what had happened in the city of Coldglass. To this end Theodric sent Cyean to the city to figure out what is going on in the town and to report back when he is able to.
