Poor Shade!
So Trux, do you have any idea when the gang might meet up with our two characters yet?
trux hates Shade since day one, because he is all coolness and style. Envy is such an ugly thing...

Guess what that means? Someone is having a very Bad day.
Profession: Confectioner w/ masterwork tools: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
Here, have a virtual chocolate covered rum cherry. That should help!
Cyanne Miller
We might be needing some of those cherries, if that bad day is headed in our direction, Kakao!

Thinking ahead, there is a spell I would like to pray for from Ultimate Combat.
*UM: Most feats and spells, ask first on archetypes and additional class features like bloodlines.
*UC: Some archetypes, some feats.
Since it lists other things from Ultimate Combat but not spells, I assume that I need to make a special request.
Assuming we meet up with the group and exchange information, I would like to pray for the Sun Metal spell -- weapon flambé is what Kakao would call it though.

Clarification: when mother molvor says bird, she means "whatever animal you found" "critter" or "dead thing".
You could say she assumes it's a bird because Montepierre told her about the bird from last night.
Anyone who wants to aid Caramir's roll may do so with a perception check. Just like Karl's roll, which I will count for our purposes.

Gave you both sense motive and perception, but Morti is clearly willing to take anything Mother Molvor says at face value.

Can't tell which token is Morti so didn't move on Roll20.
He's the fellow in dark grey and black with a black shield and a hammer. Highly recommend the ZOOM feature to pick out all the little details. [Karl if you want to upgrade your token, let me know, esse. We still have all those shiny ones for use.]
General Reference:
Mikka has a staff and earthy looking clothing.
Caramir has a green hat and a bow.
Karl has the portrait, obviously.
Montepierre is in Blue regalia and armor with a shield and spear.
Makirut is the bloke in red with a face only a mother could love.
Okrin has the light haired man with the pony tail.

btw, I'm in crazy travel and training schedule for work the next few days (and today). will try to keep up, but don't wait on me if you need to keep things moving.

Added some stuff to the adventure log on Obsidian Portal - just some random thoughts from Caramir, and also a hint of what he plans to do (if he's not turned into fertilizer by the Hollow Man, that is) in the future.

Trux, thanks for the branch but Caramir is just too squishie to get into melee. Just look at my stats - AC 13 and whatnot ;)
I'm the mobile weapons platform kinda thing (why did I just remember Battletech?).
Now, when I am a full Archmage, that will be a whole different thing. BOOM!!
BretI
Nice shot Mikka!
Can you see the map on Roll20 yet?
I'm asking because it might be able to get to the other side of the monster (and the grease slick) depending on if the squares that have partial bush are difficult or impassible terrain. I'm pretty certain you could do it over two rounds by shooting and then moving and on the second round move and then shoot.

trux, does it look like I'd be able to either,
(a) reach in, grab Karl, and haul him away from the swarm, or
(b) smash parts of the swarm without using Karl as an anvil?
"don't know, try it and see" is valid answer to both.

Just saw this now. Think I answered one of your questions.
Here's how I would do your reach manuever: % chance you see karl at the right moment would give you a positive or negative modifier. Then d20 grapple roll to grab him vs the spider's cmd, fort save vs poison, then strength check to pull him out. You would also have to drop your hammer and shield and use both your hands.
However, this is the point where I remind you that your warhammer and the quarterstaffs are pretty much the only bludgeoning weapons around.

Phew, glad we got Karl out of there!
Gang, I am really happy with how swimmingly this combat is going. Gives me great hope for the (eventual) dungeon crawl aspect.
Thanks for all your patience.
In the coming week, what we have to look forward to:
If I'm not mistaken it looks like the main group will be spending the night in the woods.
Our other team should look to arrive in the village just before nightfall. Praise Bacchus & Kel (in alphabetical order, of course). Finally, somewhere safe to spend the night.
Y'all already celebrated Valentines. WELL, HAPPY MARDI GRAS MASTER FARMERS!!!
Stay tuned,
Trux

Trux, I am not certain how far away from Levoca the other group is. Are we finally getting to meet them in the morning? Will we be able to climb out of these spoilers?

Wait, I thought they were headed towards Levoca?
;)

Parachutes?
I'm just feeling unintegrated. Is it awful that I am kind of hoping Monty will die here so that the main group will finally need us?
Karl Chillstrike
It would be nice if we united during this fight. That would solve problems and introductions and so on. keep it simple. Otherwise they'll never catch up.

Karl --
I guess that was what I was hoping would happen too.
Kakao and I never said where in the woods we were. Cyanne admitted that she had been traveling in circles, waiting to meet the man she'd seen in a vision. You guys just came from Levoca. We're enroute there.
Why couldn't we both be on the other side of Levoca, coming through the woods to you guys? This is pbp, and Trux has never actually put us two on the map. When Trux told us we had seen something earlier, I was really hoping it would be your fight. That we could join forces and have our introduction.
Kakao and I have been together for only a short while game time, but in real time it's been a long wait.
