Ah, i will get onto that when i get to my computer. Might be six hours or so, sorry.

Hey I tried to get into roll 20 using the link provided and it said I wasn't authorised.

Weird. However, I've had the same issue come up. I solved it by logging into roll20.net, then clicking the link [from the campaign description] again.
You should have a PM link from me. That URL is the one you should use for joining up. The one in our campaign description is for ease of access once you've linked your account.

Karl Chillstrike |

Well I'm in roll20. Drew a black circle around my icon. No idea what to do next.

![]() |

EDIT: Hey Karl, do you have another icon you want for your character? Like one of the spellcaster types on the left side? You can even select a different token from the marketplace/library if you prefer
I will then give your roll20 username control over one Karl Chillstrike, that fine ice fighting arcane scion and red-headed stepchild of the Pench dynasty.
Everyone feel free to put your character info on Roll20 if you like. You should have control of your characters now. This way we have a combat grid ready for when we need it.

Karl Chillstrike |

so any way I don't have control of any icon. And I can't see any link to an icon library. I see the icons in the grey box, and my character avatar, but can't select.

The Roll20 is up! Pick your PC token!
I made a huge ERROR, Barakus is available on PDF for Pathfinder! Original post lies below.
Players, it has recently come to my attention that I need to pull the Barakus campaign and start converting it if we are to continue with the original plan. This assumes that you as players, as well as your PCs, still wish to take on the endeavour. Do you still wish to devote your time to:
This huge adventure provides months of gaming material. The book details a complete city, the wilderness surrounding it, and a huge, 5-level dungeon from a long-forgotten civilization. Dozens of minor quests and puzzles are used to distract and entertain adventurers while the main storyline builds to a crescendo. This adventure and sourcebook contains over 30 highly detailed side quests that take place in the wilderness and city, and the dungeon itself contains over 200 numbered encounter areas. Players can ...
If so, I may begin scanning it for resources. I would like to stay ahead of our game, and Barakus may take a little crunchin before it is Pathfinder-ready-to-play.
So, once again, please let me know your thoughts. I'm still eager to get any feedback about my style or substance from you, gang. I hope to bump our recruitment thread up again this month while many gamers have more time for their habbyist activities.
Wow, that should cover it. Thanks you guys!
Apologies for not getting back to you on this, but both Christmas and work decided to pick up their pace at the same time :D
I am completely up for this, and in for the long haul for sure - I feel this game has been different from others I have played (in a positive way), and there is really nothing more enjoyable than playing something new.
Trux, you have a particular style of GMing that I enjoy - I like your descriptive narrative, as well as the attention to detail - right now I am starting to feel that Caramir is in fact in a living environment as it should be, mixed between surprising and out of the ordinary events and creatures, and others that are simply part of a farmer community's life - I enjoy that, and am making my best to embrace and move with that flow.
Our pace is not neck breaking, but strangely enough it seems to fit our players, and the game itself - allowing us time to take a second look at a dead bird or using 40 posts to deal with a boar (I did not count them :D) is not an issue, but for me it is instead part of what this game is, and I like it.
As far as Roll20 goes, I had the same 'Forbidden' issue when trying to access it, and did the same you guys did - back to the Campaigns page, and entered our own. However, I cannot act on any of the icons there for some reason - I cannot highlight them, add info, nothing...

Okay, although I had assigned your selections as your default tokens, I also had to tell the tokens themselves who to belong to.
Whomever has a chance next, give your token a try now.
I've tried it with Montepierre and Makirut, and it seems to be better now.
I have it set so that everyone can move Montepierre as well as their own specific PC.
To move a player token:
1. Click to select.
2. Drag to desired position.
-. If you wish to deselect your token, just click on anything else!

Morti Hearthstone |

I can move my token around -- though I can't resize, and it looks like it's taking up a 10x10 area on the map. Huh.
Incidentally, I'm doing a fair amount of traveling-with-toddlers this week for the holidays, so not sure how often Ill be able to check in.

That's fine Morti. I up-sized your chosen tokens so that we could see them better. As GM I'll shrink them later.
Our above URL has been changed to the general campaign page, I believe. Should be more useful now.
Thanks for the feedback Caramir. One thing I am trying to do is keep some of our character observations unspoilered so that we can move things forward with greater ease. We may even see some Grimmy-style fast forwarding as well. (if we need it)

Caramir |

I just checked Roll20 again, I can now move my token around easily - it all seems to be working fine.
I intend to mess with it some more tonight, and see exactly what kind of info can be added to the icon/character for ease of reference, etc.
It is looking good trux ;)

Okrin Goodspeed |

Roll20 is working fine for me. I can't claim to know the system in detail, but I've been using it to GM for a month or so. Let me know and I can try and help you troubleshoot if needed.

Caramir |

Guys, I would like to apologize for my extended posting absence - the Christmas season has become quite family intensive, so my availability for posting got hit hard. As this week moves along, I will be having more time on my hands.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! :D

![]() |

Note regarding Montepierre: Morti, perhaps I should apologizr, as I rolled poorly on Montepierre's AI. That said, his poor decisions are meant to advance the plot of the module and make things easier for you as other party members.
Sorry if you felt forced to voyage unprepared. Sorry for setting Montepierre out on a foolhardy chase after the enemy.
Y'all will be getting bonus xp for heroically charging after your teammate, and now you might find tracking the creature a simpler affair.
9 is Baca's house, a low muddy hut much like the others in town.

Morti Hearthstone |

Caramir - hit the "Levoca Village" link at the top of the page for the map with building numbers on it.
Re - montpierre's actions, fear not: Morti is only being grumbly about charging into action underprepared in-character: "Battle never goes th' way one likes, but tha's no reason to rush in half-dressed!" (Dwarven warriors aren't high-maintenance; they just like things the way they like them.)
If it gets to be a thing where every last one of our combats is while we're sleeping, well, lemme know that I'll need to pick up Endurance or some such!

Caramir |

*runs around screaming at the sight of an Awakened Demilich Wizard* - he lives!!
Killing the Hollow Man: Well, we need to set it ablaze somehow - Caramir did not memorize any fire related spells simply because his spell selection is very limited (only temporary of course, until he becomes an Archmage ruling from Rappan Athuk MUAHAHAHAHAH!!! Ahem...)
Since he is also poor (again, temporary), there is no chance to grab some Alchemist fire (Levoca would not have any most likely), but I still intend on buying some flasks of oil, and use them to light the night. I am kinda worried with using them on the forest though ;)

Morti Hearthstone |

Flasks of oil or local moonshine (as available) -> molotov cocktails?
If Karl and Okrin can cast spark to light, throw, rinse, repeat application as necessary?
Worst case, I can Total Defense, though his rolls last night suggest he'd still have a 50% chance of hitting AC22, so that might only buy time for 1 more volley from the fire throwers before I go down.
Option, if found near a flammable building: bull rush inside, bar door, set fire to building.

DM Grimmy |
Guys after reading the last few pages to see how far you guys have reached, I also decided to jump back to page one and read the gameplay from the top. Man I forgot what great role-players you all are. It is a trip to read this game that was happening at a time when I was so stressed out and spread too thin. Reading it now that I have some time to relax I can really soak it in and enjoy it.

Karl Chillstrike |

Problem is, I'm playing my character as disliking fire magic due to a accident he had with it. So no fire spells at all
What we need is the sun blade spell. Level one cleric from memory. And alchemist fire. Flame blade is another. Burning hands. A few bales of hay soaked in lamp oil and of course, torches.

DM Grimmy |
Guys I am trying to figure out how to stick this key on the map in the link but I'll leave it here for now tip I figure it out.
Levoca Key:
1. the oLd LiMe KiLn
The collapsed remains of an old limekiln weather here.
2. the witCh-Pit
A pair of mangy-looking ducks calls this perfectly circular pond home. A curious timber stake rises from its center, and a trio of rusted manacles dangle from its top.
3. the wood wards
The edges of the village are thick with strange figures staring outward, scarecrows of sack and stick. Each has been carefully fashioned to appear angry and wakeful.
4. the ChaPeL to the green gods
A fresh grave stands in the lonely graveyard beside this small simple chapel, whose roof is sagging dangerously.
5. anna’s PLaCe
This large farmstead has an attached barn, complete with iron weathervane.
6. KarL’s PLaCe
This small farmstead has a huge amount of timber drying in an open outhouse, next to which is a large sturdy storage shed.
7. oLaf yurt’s house
This small croft has a pair of walled fields at the rear.
8. Kostya’s farMstead
9. bača’s farM
10. Koreň’s Croft
11. ChrobáK’s PLaCe

That was a particularly inspired moment from Caramir I gotta admit ;)
Perhaps putting up the Levoca key in the Campaign Info?

My goal is to put up all the villagers so far as a "Cast and Characters of Levoca" Article on Obsidian Portal. If anyone wants to help with that or create further villagers for you to meet, please let me know!
I don't know if we can use the map for our Obsidian Portal Wiki, but I do think we could put the key on one of the pages.
That way you could have two tabs open - one the key - the other the map.
Come to think of it, check the info bar after this.
Party, how do you feel about Oracles vs allowing only core rules players? Please PM me with your opinions. Since we were pretty restricted in our options, I don't want to drop those restrictions without your permission.
Hmm is in Recruitment if you would like to chat. We may have a fifth joining your crew (or do we count it as a 8th with NPCs??)

I don't know about Open Design/Kobold Press (who own this Levoca Map) but I did ask the Frog Gods about putting their maps on the obsidian portal. They said it is ok as long as I put a copyright notice.

DM Grimmy |
Oh I see what happened. I messed up the quote tags.

I'm ok with Oracles - it will give me a reason to whine if I want something for my character that is not on the menu ;)
But seriously, I am fine with it, as long as it fits the feel and tone you guys are lending to the game.
Five is a round, and good number - as long as we are not overlapping too much (I don't much like overlapping). We do have a roster of NPCs to pick from :D

Okrin Goodspeed |

Speaking of overlapping, as a heads up I don't plan to progress to far as a wizard. Concept wise I'm going for a monk that fights with scrolls. Though I must say I really like the looks of the Cyphermage prestige class for a level.

Karl Chillstrike |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Actually cyphermage are in riddleport in varisia, not numeria
:)
Hey grimmy. All is pretty good.
