I think I'd prefer going to the recruitment boards as opposed to someone changing their class. People should be able to play what they want. Maybe preface the recruitment with something like 'we are looking for someone equipped for dealing with the undead with healing capabilities' that way the undead hook might pique their interest.

Grimmy, if you feel overwhelmed by work and trying to keep up with the number of current partys you have running, would condensing us down into fewer campaigns be an option for you?

If you feel the quality of the games is suffering, it might be a viable option for you/us. Just a thought. I can't speak for anyone else, but I for one would love things to be moving along a bit faster.

Did we hit the two week mark between the announcement of the wolves and the first act of aggression? That's a bit steep.

I would suggest we look for someone in our other games that may be interested in joining, people we already know and play with? At least it would offer some sort of guarantee that he/she would stick around?

Well to be fair it's a lot of roster stuff happening too you know what I mean?

I'm not sure what to do, I definitely wound up overextended. I never knew work would change so much, I used to be able to post all through the work day.

Full disclosure about a few things:

Firstly I will be out of town for work for two weeks starting this Saturday. The day after I get back from that I will be going to the beach for the last week in August.

I will probably be able to post in the evening from my hotel while at work, and I most certainly will be able to post at the beach since the house we're staying at has wi-fi. Just wanted to let you guys know that my schedule might be a bit off, but I'll still be contributing when I can.

Secondly, I just noticed a Razor Coast recruitment thread popped up on the recruitment boards. I've decided to apply just in case this game does indeed fall out from under us. I'm just playing the CYA (cover your ass) game, but if this game manages to weather the storm, I promise I will be here ready and able like an eager beaver.

A GM from a game I had previously applied and withdrew messaged me with interest in rolling something healy up for us. I sent him links to the recruitment thread and the gameplay thread.

Yes, but I am seriously considering kicking this one to the curb. With the ACG out and Iron Gods games popping up, the potential for great adventure to be had is still very much out there.

character creation details is 20 points, any paizo classes or archetypes, except synthesiser summoner, and that includes the ACG. Races include all core, asimar, tifling, android, ratfolk and any other that is a) not op and b)has a good background.

I'll be honest - I would love a chance at running this game, or even co-GMing.

But the truth is I am involved in a couple of good paced PbPs, with great GMs and players. If I entered this one as a GM, it would impact on those for sure, as being a GM takes up a lot of time and commitment.

Besides I don't really have all the sourcebooks and other stuff that could enrichen the experience.

Makirut, I don't think it is a question that 'no one wants to run this' - Grimmy does, he's simply been cast an Entangle spell by RL - happens a LOT :D

Why do you say there isn't much interest? You think people are ready to move laong and let this one drop? I definitely am not, but it does seem that even remotely Rappan Athuk related games are cursed for me - I nver really grt to play them.

P.S. I have played Fiasco once or twice before - it really makes up for interesting short games.

Iron Gods is the game I've been eyeballing since this game has apparently been put on hiatus.

If you are serious about running IG Karl, you can definitely count me in. Initially the galvanic saboteur ranger archetype caught my eye, but I really, really want to play a slayer!

Along the same lines as you Caramir, a trend is starting to form where every single pbp I am accepted into, horrible life-altering events seem to befall the GM shortly after. Maybe I should stop playing pbp for the health of GMs everywhere. I'm cursed. Beware Karl, you have been warned!

Though I'd be interested in Iron Gods, I'm not sure I'd have time to work up a legit character. If something strikes me then of course. Things are about to get even busier for me so I wouldn't want to hold back a new game.

Oops, sorry, thought I'd commented last night, but apparently not. :(

(a) If somebody wanted to pick up the reins for this campaign, I'd be happy to keep playing -- though I'll also keep watching for any continuation by Grimmy, regardless. (My concern with a substitute GM would be losing continuity with the other campaigns....though that may be an optimistic statement at this point, to assume there'll continue to be linked campaigns under any circumstance. (Also, if somebody wanted to sub-GM this intro adventure, and that allows us to run indepednently until Grimmy whips his life's entropy back into shape, that might work out?))

(b) I'd be very interested in playing an Iron Gods game, chill, though I'm also hoping to run it IRL, and have already read half the first book. I can pinky-swear to not meta-game the plot -- or to play a tech-phobic Barbarian or the like who has good reason not to use meta-game knowledge :) -- or I wouldn't be offended if you asked me to sit out.
