Yes, you can choose to aid another against a DC 10 using your weapon attack. On here, it's possible to see your roll before you post, and can therefore choose, knowing your roll will be high enough to aid, but not high enough to hit, to aid another. It's not the same as it would be IRL, but honestly, IRL I'd let you make the distinction that you were aiding after you made the roll anyway. I never said it wasn't something you had to choose.
Tyr's attack doesn't go unnoticed, and the fiend lands to engage him with its claws. Claw x2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 141d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Both swipes glance off the paladin's armor.

Tyr

The Little Game Master |

Okay, we've officially lost Angor; sorry for the delay again. So we're down to three, should I reopen recruitment, or are y'all good? I know Tyr (in character) probably wouldn't mind leaving it the way it is (wink, wink).
Angor undergoes a freak episode of narcolepsy and collapses on his face.
You're up, Lacey

Cedany |

Krissina maintains her song, while continuing to fire at the creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Ooh
Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Awww

Tyrnvald Olafson |

Tyr continues the assault on the beast inspired by his allies.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 5) + 8 = 15
Secondary Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

The Little Game Master |

With lava gushing from it's gashes and bite-marks the creature--fearing for its life--calls out in infernal while waving it's great limbs downward, at which point it seems to simply sink into the rock face beneath it, out of sight.
Meld into Stone
Spellcraft Lacey: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Lacey tries and fails to identify the spell used, or its effects.
I didn't see spellcraft on anyone else's profile, but if you have it trained, give it a go (DC 18). Combat ended, 6144 xp for everyone. You also have the option to wait around and see what happens to the creature, but Besh probably wouldn't appreciate that.

Tyrnvald Olafson |

I assume it cast defensivly and made it, but it still triggers an AoO when it moves away down into the earth.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 6) + 8 = 19

The Little Game Master |

6,144 each; this was a CR 6.4 (all applicable stats adjusted from CR 10, including xp) monster
As it fuses with the stone at its feet, Tyr swings down on it, but his sword cracks down on hard rock, now darkened with the presence of the monster's essence.
What's next?

Tyrnvald Olafson |

No problem, I didn't read the spell just assumed it had to move into the stone. Now I know :) Are we using medium track? Time to level up.
That was a strong demon. I expected less. Next time Sarenrae will help me send it back to the abyss. For now let us get to the village. People could be dying as we stand around talking.

Cedany |

Assuming I've not got something wrong somewhere that shoots Cedany straight up to 3rd, or are we only allowing 1 level at a time?
Cedany's burning eyes soften at Tyr's words and she smiles at him, "Lead on"

The Little Game Master |

As many levels as your experience permits, and yes, medium track! Early level up! That was one of those, you probably won't have to fight it, but if you do and win, you'll get a lot of xp or treasure or something type monsters....
Lemme know in the discussion when y'all're finished statting, and we can continue. I'm certain you'll want to be finished before you keep going.

The Little Game Master |

Okay! Time to get started! Lemme know what route you want to take (left or right of that next tree, or through the heavily wooded forest, etc.) and how you'd like to take it (stealth, run, hustle, etc). Completely up to you, but it effects what happens next...

The Little Game Master |

The hero, his minstrels and the innkeeper's daughter, after a much deserved breather, soldier forth until Tyrnvald comes upon an odd sight, a pile of metallic junk in the middle of the forest.
Certain parts of the junk pile are beginning to move
You hear someone whispering what you think is an incantation in the distance
The voice you hear sounds deep and gravely
Only one perception check required, if you clear one, you clear all those below

Tyrnvald Olafson |

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Hold on a moment that pile of junk seems to be moving.
Detect Evil and take a defensive stance.

The Little Game Master |

Holding for the girls' perceptions/actions. Tomorrow it'll have been 3 days, I'll bot you if you're unavailable, but please let me know.

Tyrnvald Olafson |

What are you? Is there something hiding in the pile there. I am Tyrnvald Olafson come out. Wait whats that an evil presence. Get ready. You in the pile stay hidden if you are friend.

The Little Game Master |

Perception (Cedany): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Cedany Detects Magic and alerts the others that whether or not there's something in the pile of metallic junk, it is emanating some pretty powerful magic. A fact which causes her to draw her shortbow, notch an arrow, and begin humming a fierce tune. Raging Song (Inspired Rage)
Tyr: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Lacey: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Cedany: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Before long, Cedany's vague fear is affirmed as what appeared to be metal junk begins to float up of its own accord: a screw fitting into a bar linking into a gear and so on until a nine-foot metallic humanoid stands before them, glowing (in parts) with magical energy.

Botting Tyr (it's been over four days now)
Tyrnvald assaults this mechanical beast with sword and bite.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Secondary Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

NB: Characters affected by Inspired Rage can make make melee weapons cause +1d6 fire damage for 3rounds/day.

Tyrnvald Olafson |

Sorry got the flu friday night and have been sidelined in bed. I was kind of back yesterday but I'm good today. So I'm back

The Little Game Master |

Sorry to hear that, glad you're doing better. I just wanted to keep up the momentum. Don't want to fall back where we were before...

The Little Game Master |

I'm gonna bot Lacey now...again, my feelings won't be hurt if you guys wanna bail. I don't want to stop, but I also would like for this to go a little faster. Just saiyan
Lacey begins to orate the encounter, "A strange creature of metal and magic takes form before us as a rousing song is sung." +1 to attack and damage
A reptilian voice calls out from cover beyond the creature in a strange language. As if taking orders, the large metal thing sits, spreads its arms wide, spreads it's legs out, and seems to open and close in a different form: one that appears to be a barricade of some kind, with sharp spinning gears to keep anyone from passing through. At this point its commander reveals himself and mocks the heroes.
"Ha! You'll never pass through here. Your quest is finished, Hero of Wispil." Tyrnvald's title was spat more than said by this snake-faced, reptilian soldier-looking being. He un-hitches his heavy crossbow from his chain shirt, and notches a bolt thereunto; more to punctuate his speech than to threaten anymore than his large lackey already has.

Tyr presses the attack on the barricade.
