Just wanted a place to discuss things without clogging up the gameplay thread. That being said, check out the Moment of Greatness spell I have. It only works once per person within 50 ft but since you have home brewed that the morale bonus for bardic performance is going to stack, things could get nasty. That's a +4 to everyone if we stay close and this spell gives everyone a one time boost to +8 if needed. That means everyone could get +8 to damage.

Yeah, sorry, I'm gonna wait until later tonight before we move on without Abro, just in case.
At that point we'll just move on without him, and start talking about who should take his place if anyone.

Abro |

Hey everyone sorry it took me so long to muster. Had some things happen in RL got me distracted. If it's ok I can't just post that I'm running after you guys like the rabbit from Alice in wonderland. I'll finish my crunch tonight. I'm also playing in RL today.

The Little Game Master |

You're all on the road to Yanamass, in the midst of a forest. If no one moves (on here and/or on the map), then nothing will happen. My GM style is very player driven. I find it gives you all the opportunity to play your characters the way they'd behave rather than choosing from a finite set of options that I allow you.

Angor Yasok |

While considerate I don't really see how that can work mechanically. If we have to move our own pieces then that can get really time consuming. We are following Tyr so we all have to wait for him to move his piece so we can out ours in relation to his. Then we might have to come back and change based on who moved where. Also what about situations where we are not sure about the things on the map. If we move too close to something or go somewhere we can't we have to wait for you to tell us that or tell us what rolls to make which takes up a lot of time and forces a lot of retconning. Maps are great for combat because we all know the rules on combat but outside of that things are essentially up to you. Also, I can't view the map at work so I have to wait till I get home to move myself around. That severely limits the amount of time I can post.

most weekends I'm away or working on stuff around the house or doing stuff with the wife, so I only check in sometimes late at night or not at all, depends on the weekend.

With the basilisk at their back, they hear a crack and pop as it dislocates its jaw and swallows the stone hedgehog whole. During this meal, the other hedgehog unrolls and darts for the forest.
As the group moves forward they can feel it getting warmer.
Please don't do stuff like this unless you follow up with more information. This tells us very little and requires no comment on our part. Just because it got a little warmer doesn't mean we are going to stop. You can assume we will continue walking along until something changes drastically like the giant hole in the ground. I get the feeling you are trying to play this too much like a RL game and not a PBP. IRL we can comment and act on every little change immediately but on these forums it might take a whole day for someone to comment so they need something worthwhile to comment on. "It got warmer" is not it. You can make assumptions about what will do to a much greater degree on these threads than you can IRL. We won't fault you for it because we know it is in the interest of time and progress through the campaign. If we have a problem we can say it after the fact. Time lost in retconning actions this way will be far less than time lost commenting on every little change in the world. I hope you don't take any of this personally. I want to play this game because the concept is very interesting but the pace is far slower than most of the other games I am in.

The Little Game Master |

I generally play slower-paced games, if only due to the nature of my life at the moment.
I was just trying to paint the picture, as IRL or otherwise, story is a very important part of this game for me. Also, I'm not used to making assumptions for my players, (even on PbP). I will try to include all of it in posts that you consider able to comment on, from this point forward. Thank you for your feedback.

The Little Game Master |

The edge of the pit is a DC 5 acro check, I'd rather no one took ten, because obviously then everyone would make it no problem, they should anyway, but if someone's very unlucky, there's an interesting twist in the story waiting for you. Tyr: go ahead and make a roll, I don't see anything in your crunch that would keep you from making a DC 5 check.

The Little Game Master |

I see the conflict, but it would be just as annoying to go back and retcon the stacking bard bonuses that make this campaign unique. So for that reason, I think we'll stick with going in order.
As always, thank you for the feedback.

Angor Yasok |

I forgot about that. But if everyone makes there rolls using just the base stats then you can add the bonuses later based on where they fall in initiative. That or each person can use base stats and throw in something like:
base roll to hit: 17
Damage: 5
Angor Performance: +1 attack and damage
Cedany Song: +2 STR/CON -1 AC
Lacey Orate: +1 attack and damage
Total: +3 attack, +3 damage, +1 HP, -1 AC
Or we can average the bards initiative so they always go together.

The Little Game Master |

I like the averaged initiative idea, that coincides with the idea that they're an experienced entertainment group: they'd obviously begin their performance all at once.
Cool, will do!
EDIT: Just so everyone knows, I have Abro until tomorrow to post before I role play him out. I might give him narcolepsy. That way if Mr. Perkins (his player) is actually having a crisis which is keeping him from playing, he'll be able to come back when he's ready.
Sound good?

The Little Game Master |

Are Cedany and Lacey both levelling up also?
@Angor: yeah, I've never done that either. I'll see what I can do.

The Little Game Master |

Just checking in, I feel like everyone should be done levelling up by now. If this is really not as fun for y'all as it is for me, feel free to let me know, and we can drop it. I'm honestly getting a little tired of the silence.

Tyrnvald Olafson |

I have been ready the others just haven't posted. As I said I'm always around. Hard to get rid of me. If you want to recruit others I'm cool with waiting :)

The Little Game Master |

Good to hear, I'll PM Cedany. If it turns out she can't, then yeah, we'll have to reopen recruitment. Thanks for being so patient, you guys; as soon as we get going, I promise it'll go a lot faster.

The Little Game Master |

Cedany and/or Lacey, I'm gonna bot you around 2300 tonight unless you post first. Like I said before, I really don't want this to fall behind.

The Little Game Master |

Actually, nevermind. I'm just going to reopen recruitment. As with all my campaigns, if you were here, you're not out, you'll just be "delaying" until you have time to play.
Thanks for your patience.

The Little Game Master |

I'm shutting this down due to lack of interest. Clearly not one of my better ideas. Have fun elsewhere; and keep your eyes peeled for one of my more developed home-brews!
