I was really liking my shooting perch but you had to make me move and for that you get 2 of my best arrows.
Useing Two fanged strike,
first Arrow attack vs ac, 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29, damage = 1d12 + 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (11) + (5) + 7 = 23
second arrow attack vs ac, 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29, damage = 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
if both arrows hit it take 3 extra hp damage.
not much of an encounter power hun?

Kel grumpily fires two devastating shots into the thing that looks like Kelgan. Screaming the thing turns to its twin and similar wounds open up on the real half-orc.

Ceara drags the false Kelgan unwillingly towards her as it shares the pain of the blow with the genuine article.

Bartholomew Hobbes |
Hobbes slowly and calmly walks over to Perigia and turns to the last enemy. He adjusts his hat and casts another spell at the skintaker. A familiar glowing green orb forms in his hand and he unleashes it on the creature.
move to D4. cast Acid Orb on ST2, +10 vs Ref, 1! Miss! (Rackin' Frazzin' Idiotic Rackin' Frazzin'!) oh, well, live by the crit, die by the crit I... often say. Someone else is going to have to the honors.
And the Orb goes wild, flying past the creature and into the wall, unraveling as it goes. By the time it hits the wall, it does little more than minor damage. Hobbes looks shocked. "Well, that was... pathetic. Sorry, guys." He says to his comrades. "I must've put too much into that one. I'll get him next time."

My apologies for the delay. Was out a lot of yesterday. Youth Theatre show.
Kel's first arrow just misses, belying his words, but the second proves amply good enough to sink into the Kelgan-shape. It reels back, snarling as the arrow bloodies it, but again makes sure Kelgan suffers equally.

It's my fault Kel, I haven't been pushing the feature enough lately. With all the enemies Hobbes and a few other people should have some temp HP right now. Now that I'm the only devoted healer in the party I need to be more active about it, though, since every little bit helps now in a large party.

well, Kelgan, it's been nice knowing you. I hope you survive this fight. I thought about intimidate, but this thing is undead and thus immune to fear, right? Or is it? I am going to give it a try.
Hobbes moves up to the Skintaker and sweeps his arm out in a grand gesture. "Look around you, creature, we destroyed your comrades without even breaking a sweat. If you want to survive this encounter, you will SUBMIT right now!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Rev DM |
It's not undead. Intimidate is a perfectly legitimate tactic.
The skintaker bares Kelgan's teeth at Hobbes and rasps in Deep Speech. The sorcerer doesn't feel he's made any progress.
Afraid not. The creature is hostile, so any Intimidate rolls are at Will+10.

Shroud it. Echoing Threat, targets will. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13. On hit: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 psychic damage and at the end of it's next turn, if it is within 2 squares of any creature, it takes 10 psychic damage.

I was bloodied, but Kel healed me enough to not be and the second attack took out my temp HP. Assuming nothing changes too much on Brujo's turn...
Kelgan coughs up a gob of blood and smiles at the skinchanger before whirling around, putting his hand around his throat and slashing deep.
Spending an AP to use Grappling Strike twice on him, using Furious Smash on the first one to hit. (If the first attack hits, the second's just a basic attack) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 282d10 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 131d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 172d10 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 121d20 ⇒ 9
Rev DM |
Brujo skids over the floor, misjudging his attack. If nothing else, he has reduced the skintaker's movement options.
No recharge on Twin Sympathy
Kelgan does considerably better, ignoring the irony of apparently cutting his own throat in favour of pure destruction. The skintaker gapes horribly, but twists in his grasp, sending Kelgan's blade back into him.
Twin Sympathy recharges. Half damage from the first Grappling Strike. 6hp damage to Kelgan
As you'll probably guess, the second one didn't hit, even with Erik's helpful -2 to AC on the skintaker.
