"Furry things are attacking us? Are we supposed to be scared?" Ceara sounds rather mystified, but as there is an attack, she acts.

Shroud 1 on Worg, attack it with Inescapable Blade. Targets AC. 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23. On hit: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Human Sorcerer 9

"You fascinate me, Ceara." Hobbes says as he prepares his next spell. "Do you mean to tell me you've never seen a wolf before? Where were you born, in a desert?"

Ceara stabs deep into the worg as further furry, growling menaces emerge from the mists.

1d20+14=25 - D1 v Hobbes. Hits. Hobbes is knocked prone.
1d8+5=10 10hp damage to Hobbes
1d20+14=21 - D2 v Hobbes. Hits.
2d8+5=15. Rolls an additional d8 v prone targets. 15 damage to Hobbes

Engrossed with Ceara's strange behaviour, the sorcerer is taken unawares as two wolves leap at him, knocking to the ground. The creatures whimper as he defends himself instinctively.
3hp damage each to the wolves.

1d20+14=33 - D3 v Erik. Hits.
1d8+5=6. 6 damage to Erik
1d20+14=18 - D5 v Erik. Miss.

Erik suffers a similar fate.

A final wolf launches itself at Brujo, sweeping the moonelf off his feet.

1d20+14=33 - D4 v Brujo. Hits.
1d8+5=8. 8hp damage to Brujo.

Perigia flickers her fingers and more of the mist disperses. The source of the growling if fully revealed by now, but underneath the wolves you can hear insectoid clicking from within the mist.

Damage totals this turn:
Erik - 6hp
Brujo - 8hp
Hobbes - 25hp

Worg has an aura 3. Enemies within the aura take a -1 penalty to attack rolls. Allies get a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

Dire wolves gain CA when any ally is adjacent to the target. With CA a dire wolf knocks the target prone on a hit.

At 62hp

Leaping to his feet Brujo slashes at the worg with his quick dagger

"I put my trust in your hands now friend", he whispers to himself

Harrak's Dagger 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14; Damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Brujo's dagger can't penetrate the deep pelt of the worg, but he is quickly on his feet.

From behind him the clicking intensifies and a gout of entangling spittle heads towards Ceara. The ex-monk easily avoids the attack and the stuff hits the ground harmlessly.

Entangling spittle (Ref)
1d20+6=14 - B1 v Ceara. Misses.

Kel turns his head as he hears the same perturbing clicking behind him. Like Ceara, his heightened senses let him avoid the incoming goo.

Being Immobilized and Dazed, I don't think Kelgan's action will affect mine.
"Lousy furball." Hobbes says as he gets up. He starts to chant and then the air cools around him, his breath begins to show. He channels his spell through his dagger and stabs at one of the wolves surrounding him. The icy aura glows white on the dagger.

Dragonfrost on D1 (+10 vs Fort, 28, if hit, 1d8+11 or 18 cold damage and D1 is pushed into G10)

"Kel, do me a favor, will ya? If that stupid wolf comes back at me, please kill him. I will take care of this one." Hobbes says as he points to the other wolf in front of him.

True, Kel doesn't get a OA for the push movement but if that wolf comes back at me, Kel will get an OA for him leaving that square.

The wolf discovers rather fast the Hobbes is not going to make an easy meal. Pushed forcibly away from the sorcerer, ice forms over its dense pelt.

Dots are hard to come by :) You need to post with as yourself (i.e. David Fryer) for absolute certainty, otherwise it dithers for ages.

Male Half-Orc Fighter 8

You know, with their special abilities, this is probably going to end horribly. Still, how many other times can you say you got devoured by wolves?

Kelgan lowers his sword and the wolves, sensing weakness. When they close in for the kill, Kelgan begins swinging his sword wildly, slicing into his attackers.

Yep, time for Come And Get It. D2 to J11, D5 to J9, D3 to K9, and W to K11. Absurd amount of attacks:

Spoiler:
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 251d12 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 151d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 221d12 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 71d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 201d12 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 161d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 141d12 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Yes, marking all of them. The -2 should cancel out the CA for the rest of you. Saving throws(Daze and Immobilize): 1d20 ⇒ 191d20 ⇒ 14

No longer Dazed, so I can actually make OAs when they try to attack you!

Looking as if all their birthdays arrived at once, the wolves converge on Kelgan. Hungry snarling turns to ferocious yips of pain as his blade slices hard into two of them.

Can't pull the Worg to where you want it as the wall is in the way, but it's as close as I can get it for you. Hits D2 and D3, missed D5 and the Worg.

Worg has an aura 3. Enemies within the aura take a -1 penalty to attack rolls. Allies get a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

EDIT Photobucket is not letting me save the map. I'll keep trying, but so far, so not good. Basically, D2, D3, D5 and the Worg are all about to chow down on Kelgan. I'll post the link once the site stops piddling around.

Male Human Bard/Warlord/Warlock/Circus Monkey/Soda Jerk/Etc

Erik struggles to his feet and tries to defend himself against the two wolves attacking him.

"We're surrounded! Back to back now!"

Move Action: Stand up
Standard Action: War Song Strike on D3; 1d20 + 12 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 1 = 29 vs. AC for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 damage and on a hit, any ally who hits D3 gains 3 temp HP TEOMNT.

Photobucket is still refusing to save, so I'll hold off updating until I can Kelgan and Erik's moves in there. Apologies for the technical hitch.

Photobucket is playing nice again. Map updated.

Erik's songblade drives into D3 almost at the same time as the Worg lunges for Kelgan's throat. In the press of bodies, it misjudges and Kelgan feels stinking breath come too close for comfort as the mighty jaws close on nothing.

"I don't know where I was born." Ceara replies to Hobbes as she moves away from the worg. Once she's opened up some distance, she spins and three darts of ice fly towards the large wolf.

Move to N7. Shroud 2 on Worg. Shadow Darts on Worg, three attacks vs reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17. If one hits: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 cold, if two hit: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 6) + 5 = 16 cold, if all three hit: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 5, 3) + 5 = 20 cold.

Male Human Sorcerer 9

"A tale for another time, then. But for now, the little furries are called wolves. They hunt in packs and can be quite dangerous. The big one is called a Worg and can be intelligent, although this one clearly isn't." Hobbes says that loud enough for the Worg to hear. "Attacking us is asking for death, Mighty One. Can we parlay, or do I have to melt the flesh from your bones?" He says that directly to the Worg.

or do you want to wait until my turn?

Ignorant of the ways of worgs and wolves she may be, but fine huntsman she certainly is. Ceara's attack sends icy darts deep into the Worg.

2 hits.

Hobbes - you can attempt to intimidate a bloodied foe if you speak its language on your turn as a standard action. This worg speaks abyssal.

The Worg snarls at Hobbes, seeming to understand it is being addressed, even if not much more than that.

For the dire wolves, the choice is simple. With the exception of D1 and D4, they attack Kelgan. The first attack takes the half-orc off his feet and the other wolves pile in for the kill.

Here goes.
1d20+14=28. D2 v Kelgan. Hits. Prone.
1d8+5=12
Subsequent attacks will do 2d8+5
1d20+14=19. D3 v Kelgan. Miss
1d20+14=25. D5 v Kelgan. Hits.
2d8+5=13
25hp damage to Kelgan

Hobbes is forced to fend off another attack from D1, but the sorcerer easily evades the snapping jaws.

1d20+12=16. D1 v Hobbes. Miss.

Brujo can't prevent D4 from launching itself at his throat and sending him crashing to the ground once more.

1d20+14=25. D4 v Brujo. Hits
1d8+5=13
13hp damage to Brujo and he is knocked prone.

Worg has an aura 3. Enemies within the aura take a -1 penalty to attack rolls. Allies get a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

Dire wolves gain CA when any ally is adjacent to the target. With CA a dire wolf knocks the target prone on a hit.

Edit: Critical damage = 10HP

It shifted, so I didn't think it did. Have I misunderstood a power?

Yes they did. This is the second turn.

If it just moved one square then Kel wouldn't get an OA.

Out of her depth in melee, Perigia's swing has an air of panic about it.

According to the PH, immobilization doesn't prevent teleporting, so, in response to being hit by the goo, I use Slayer's Escape, Teleport to I12, and am invisible to the start of my next turn.

Absolutely right - you can teleport quite happily.

Covered in glop though she is, Ceara still finds a way to twist space to her own advantage.

I'll be re-doing the map once Kel and Kelgan have gone. The grid is being eaten again. If it really troublesome, just use n/s/e/w for now. Wish I knew why it does that. Such a pain.

Now that I've saved vs immobilised I will spend an action point and shift to G10 and attack D1 again.
Longsword 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26, damage = 1d8 + 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + (6) + 3 = 14
Shortsword 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28, damage = 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

And as a minor action hit Kelgan with a healing word, spend a HS + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

I'm afraid you can't do that. A save always comes at the end of your turn, unless you're a warden or have some other power that allows you a save at the start of your turn. You can use the healing word on Kelgan with no problem though.

Male Elf Ranger

Damm, no spending the AP then but kelgan still gets the healing.

Male Human Sorcerer 9

Since I don't think Kelgan's going to attack D1, I thought I would go ahead and then get on with my day.

Seeing Kel give a decisive blow to the wolf, Hobbes decides to finish it off with his acid spell, channelled through his dagger. He moves into a flanking position and chants in Draconic. His blade glows green as Hobbes thrusts it into the wolf.

Shift to H11, cast Acid Orb on D1, thru dagger, +12 vs Ref, 26, if hit, 1d10+12 acid, or 17 acid damage.

Male Half-Orc Fighter 8

Kelgan stands up, then swings his blade in a violent arc around him.

Stand up from prone, then use Sweeping Blow(Close burst 1, vs D3, D5, D2, W): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 171d12 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 151d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 241d12 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 101d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 241d12 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 161d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 301d12 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Photobucket is down again. Curses. I'll update the map as soon as I can. In the meantime, just so you know, Kelgan hit D5, D2 and the Worg and Hobbes has coated D1 attractively in acid.
