I look at that, and I think "+9d6 damage on five or more attacks at higher levels". That's a minimum of 45 extra damage dice in a round of attacks - possibly quite a few more - and with the right character setup, it's practically free to use all day long... not just in the opening round. XD; It's one thing to be a specialist in sneak attacks - Pathfinder already has quite a few ways to make it easier and more consistent to use - and quite another to be that powerful.

Incidentally, you're up in the gameplay thread.

Yeah. iPhone's a bear to post in-character, though. The keys are so tiny. (An iPad is hard enough. I recently got a phone, but my iPad's battery life has been... poor, lately. Probably just used more often and not plugged up as much.)

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

To be clear: my parents just gave me an iPhone for the explicit purpose of ensuing that I couldn't let a day go by without them receiving a text/pictures of their Grandkids. XD

And: I plan on updating when I sit down at a PC... likely tonight, but there are no guarantees. Sorry.

No hurry. XD Just get to it when you're ready!

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

It's looking like "not tonight" - sorry!

Meanwhile, as Tacticslion Jr. prepared for his ascent to a truly prestigious position at the table...

Lesson learned: A string of terrible rolls in a boss fight (against an AP chapter boss, no less!) can make a character feel very upset at themselves. XD Still, running things this way is quite educational...

Limited internet access, sick, and a newborn (who is still in the hospital dealing with preemy things) combined with upcoming and impending tremendous amounts of family visitors over a large period of time means that, in all probability, I'm out for another month. I'm sorry it took so long to post this up, but, our days are mostly spent:

1) wake up
2) guzzle something approximating breakfast
3) travel to hospital to engage in endless cycles of:
- 3a) feeding our son
- 3b) wife pumping milk for the future (while I meet with someone or wait with poor wifi reception)
- 3c) seeing someone about something
- 3d) repeat
- OPTIONAL: occasional breaks for eating (some days)
4) come back to the RMDH!
5) eat free food!
6) sleep

This, naturally, is not conducive to gaming online.

To be clear, while tiring, it's not a bad state that we're in; things are generally okay. The two "bad" things are: our newborn is battling anemea (lack of red blood cells produced by bone marrow, not lack of iron), and I'm rather sick (which is why I'm at the RMDH and have time to update this, leaving my wife alone at the hospital today); oh! and a mistake with Verizon meant my iPad lost its Roaming Wifi capabiilty for... I dunno, until they stop falsely claiming I owe them $125, but that's mostly just waiting for us to talk to an actual person in-person instead of people on the phone. Seriously, and truly, though, those are the only things that are bad. Everything else is going as well as it can.

I am sorry about the lack of updates/information!

Anyway, with all this in mind, if no one minds, I'm going to beg us out until December - probably sometime later December. December itself will be a bit tricky, but by then, Lord willing, things'll have settled down enough, we'll be home, and we'll have internet access.

Apologies again for the lack of communication and time!

~ Tac

No problem! ^^ Thanks for the update, and I hope things soon start to settle down for the three of you!

We are home for Thanksgiving!

... lacking sleep (feeding a literal "cry-baby" every two-hours, more or less ;P), but home!

Family coming over tomorrow, and my oldest boy will finally be back with his mommy and daddy and with his little brother all the time! WOOOOO~!

... I'm still hecka on hiatus right now. Sorry. (Only marginally, though, 'cause we're home!)

:D

Being home is definitely an improvement - and all the more so when family is with you. ^^

...

Unless you're Hexy, in which case that would be the most awkward Thanksgiving dinner ever.

While I'm not "back" yet, I wanted to make sure to wish everyone an early Merry Christmas (and/or whichever other thing you celebrate)... and to let you all know that I've neither forgotten nor given up!

Though we've still lots of doctor visits, with a sick three-year-old (the big brother), and several cross-state trips, we're doing well over-all, and God is good.

Later this month, Lord willing, we'll be back!
(Though it miiiiiiight be early January.)

Thanks!

Peace and God bless you!

Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! ^^

In other news, I randomly ran across a discussion you where having on undead being evil about... two years ago, looks like. XD It's actually quite fun seeing what other people have to say - especially because I actually take alignment relatively seriously.

(For example, I don't think a LG Paladin is free to torture, humiliate, and generally do whatever they want to someone else just because that person is evil. Good should be actively good regardless of the situation, and while that doesn't always mean being nice, it does mean leaning towards virtue instead of vice. XD Keeping that sort of thing in mind may help you as you're interacting with NPCs.)

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon-maybe?

One can certainly hope. ^^ Just pop back in whenever you're ready!

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

A favor: if you don't mind, would you neatly sum up where we are? My ADD is kicking up something fierce, so I'd appreciate some sort of summary/update. Sorry.

I... know I'm battling a spider? I think the farmer guy I played is in webbing, and for some reason I wasn't able to deceive the spider thing and we were... somewhere? Looking for that one kid? Maybe? Or maybe I was betrayed or something? Blarg.

You're in the upstairs room, battling a big spider, after managing to rescue yourself from captivity. ^^

Waitin' on you. o wo/

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Arg!

I'm sorry!

This is at least the second time I've been certain I've made a post as Hexy and haven't. Hm. I wonder if there's some sort of issue on my end why this keeps happening, or if it's random.

Anyway, my apologies. The last several days have been... exhausting.

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Ah-hah! I checked, and I definitely posted something! Good. At least it's definite this time...

Welcome back. I'd been thinking about sending you a PM, since I saw that you were active elsewhere on the forums... XD

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGG !!

I... I lost my post. >:(

I'll try to work on it again, later, after I put my son to bed.

Y'okay.

...

Consider writing up your post in Microsoft Word (or similar) and just pasting when you're ready?

(Yours is actually a good and reasonable idea, but it's difficult to remember to do, when you've got a three-year-old on your lap. Sadly, Chrome crashed with no real warning or explanation. BLARG.)

Short version of the post: she chats with "her hero" heads upstairs quickly, speaks Asmodeus' name to get restored, and heads back down again.

But... dialogue... lost... ARG.

Maybe that's your browser's way of telling you that accepting favors from the Archdevil is a bad idea. =D It's just trying to help!

Hah! I am literally - right now - building that post. I didn't see yours until part way through it. XI

Sorry for the delay!

Aaaaaand I just remembered - we're doing story-based leveling now, aren't we? XD; It'd been awhile, so I'd almost forgotten. I should probably go make a note of that...

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Currently brain-numbed from exhaustion. Hopefully will get something up soonish, but that might mean tomorrow or the next day. Sorry! I'm blarging. O.O

(And I normally like numbers... ADD, is just kicking my rear.)

Take whatever time you need. ^^ The nice thing about solo games is that you don't have to worry about holding others up.

Don't forget that you're actually spending time on all those buffs.

If you count it, you'll notice I've been reducing them by 1 per turn. You can copy/paste it into a Word document to count the characters, I'd guess. :)

Also, why "Initiative" instead of a Sense Motive v. my Bluff (which was the reason for that in the first place)?

It's okay, but it's a bit tough to give him two turns at this point instead of one, so I was curious about the source of the decision.

Either way, onward!

Probably because you rolled Bluff twice - I think you meant to take Perception the first time, given that Bluff is rarely used to notice ambushes - and also because he was fully aware of you and you certainly weren't launching a true surprise attack. The failure to ditch the weapon was a pretty big tip-off, and made the bluff a heck of a lot harder.

Also, these guys don't have the nasty power of Stirges, so I don't think they're nearly as big of a threat. XD

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Mmmmmmmmmmmeh. But as you like! :)

EDIT: Also, you are correct in that the first "bluff" is supposed to be "perception", but either way. :)

Generally speaking, any comment to the effect of "stepping away" means a five-foot step. Other forms of movement will use terms like "darted", "ran", or even "pranced" to note a greater level of activity - one you may be able to take advantage of. ^^ Also, if your max HP is 36 at the moment, I believe you should be at 27 HP - one of them did hit you for 3 damage earlier.

You are correct! Sorry... I forgot to add that... :/

But! I think I've got it correct at the present time!

Sure! Totally understandable! :)

I miiiiiiight get something up later tonight? Don't know about that, though. Also, we're going to be out of town for the weekend, too, so that's convenient for this. :D

Men in mosquito masks, lots of little mosquitoes flying around, mosquito-like enemies catching you earlier... XD Definitely a bit of a pattern here.

Incidentally, you're very close to the end of the module, and will reach Level 3 at that point - now's a good time to start thinking about what you'd like to pick.

o wo/

Meanwhile, when you get back, I can talk to you about the new Mythic Mania books... there may be things in them you'll enjoy.

Male Agathion (Leonal) Gestalt Monk-Paladin (with bardic performance!); Mythic (dual): Archmage/Heirophant

Sorry for the delays.

A lot of the delay is simply me being exceptionally busy compounding with "Wow, this last adventure has sucked for Hexy. What the heck do I do to make future adventures work out better?" which has really, really stumped me. I've gone through everything from a total character rewrite to looking at trading away ranger levels for a template, to other things as well.

Ultimately? I got nothin' (or at least very little).

Hexy has little in the way of options for self-healing, her divine ability is nice, I suppose, but costs everything she has for, at best, a situational bonus, and, despite the nice stats, she just doesn't have the skills I need to make her work. (I'm planning on dropping Heal for Knowledge (nature) which she can substitute for Heal now, and maybe Sleight of Hand for something else.)

There are a couple of nice templates, but surviving long enough to get to use them is a serious question.

Anyway, just thought you should know what the hold-up is. I'll get there, though!

Also, please do tell!

That module in general is pretty rough on solo characters. The best answer, though, is "ask your GM for suggestions". Or to run with something easier for a bit, which I can certainly do. ^^ A negative-energy heal (harm?) stick might work for the healing bit.

For right now, I'd suggest taking the Advanced template in place of one of your class levels (probably Ranger?) as a way of getting a general all-around boost to your abilities. It really does make a difference.

Anyway, Mythic Mania now has all the feats (AAAAAAAAALL the feats), all the spells, and a bunch of interesting Mythic Class Abilities, which are pretty much exactly what they sound like. Supercharge your Oracle mystery, for example. If there's anything in particular you want to see an enhanced version of (normal abilities are covered, archetype abilities not so much), just ask and I'll see what it's got.

Still waiting on you, by the way. o wo/
