Recruiting to start immediately! The Confirmation, an evergreen scenario for tier 1-2. Priority will be given to newcomers!

Recruitment

Hi I only started to play Pathfinder society session 1 week ago, and have made level 1 rogue, according standard PFS rules. Am I qualify to join and play online? If so how to proceed from here. Any advice would be highly appreciated

-Ganryo.

Liberty's Edge

You most definitely are! Click on the recruitment link to join the recruitment. However in you're to PBP, it typically takes 3-4 weeks, and while you're character tied up in this game he can't play any others.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

What Batpony said. Welcome to PFS and to online play! I might suggest making a second character to play locally (if you are in fact playing local games in your area) and use your rogue to play PBP (or vice versa), since, as mentioned, the games usually can take a month or more to finish in PBP.

Plus, hey, more characters are always fun.

I'm recruiting for a classic run of Treacherous Waves for PbP Gameday VI. It's a 3-7 scenario and here is the recruitment thread. I played this at PaizoCon (with GM Lamplighter, my son, Feral, Pirate Rob, Hmm and her boyfriend) and had a great time, thought I'd open it up here for PbP.

Note: the comma after 'my son' is intended to make clear that Feral is, in fact, not my son. It is unclear what exactly spawned him.

Wrong table, we played Solstice Scar together. You played Treacherous Waves with some other yahoos.

I didn't list you at first, then went back and edited my post to add you, then almost re-edited it to take you off the list. I blame jet lag and the depredations of Lamplighter for my faulty recollection!

Thx GM Batpony for the go ahead, and dien for advice on additional characters to play PBP, will take on the advice as mention and create another Rogue for PBP as I did have some sessions under the belt for the local game from the mentioned Rogue.

While you are perusing the forums, don't hesitate to look at the upcoming PbP Gameday.

A list of gameday games reserving spots for new players can be found Here.

Just to be clear, you can go back and forth between online and in person play with the same character. The problem is that the online play-by-post (PBP) games take a couple of months on average, and you can't play other games with the same character at the same time.

So if you want to play the rogue who already has a couple of games behind him online, you can. You just wouldn't be able to use him with your local group while you do.

Treacherous Waves is a fun game. So is Solstice Scar, which is what we actually played together!

No one knows what spawned Feral, but we all agree that it was a lucky day for PbP!

Hi. I am new to Pathfinder and PFS but would like to get involved in a PBP game. I'm trying to get my head around some of the terms like AP and dotting? Anyway, should I just keep an eye out on this forum?

AP = Adventure Path

See the Pathfinder Wiki entry
Adventure Path

Dotting means making a meaningless post in a thread (sometimes just a period) so that the thread shows up in the forum list index with a dot next to the title. A dot in the title means you've posted in that thread

If you are interested in the upcoming gameday, I suggest you follow the link here. There are some scenarios holding spots for new players.

There is some excellent information in the 'Campaign Info' tab of this thread to help new players getting started in the world of PbP as well.

I still have some empty seats for #6-10 The Wounded Wisp (tier 1-2) and #7-10 The Consortium Compact (tier 1-2).

Sing-ups here.

Hakak, welcome to PbP!

Here is a post that will give you some information. Once you get into a game the best thing to do is:

1) Make it obvious that you are new to PFS
2) Make it obvious that you are new to PbP

Why? Because that will make sure that the Gamemaster (GM) and other players know what to expect. The next thing is to ask everything that is unclear, so they get a chance to explain. Most people here are very nice and eager to explain thing.

I hope you have a lot of fun with PBP PFS!

@GM Skipper: I have been so bold as to reserve a spot in your Wounded Wisp game for Hakak. If you prefer not to have a complete newcomer in your game that is also fine: it is also a hobby for you and running games should be fun for the GM!

I changed my submissions to TBD since the characters might not be free when this starts.

Hey You! Yes, you!

With my Venture Lieutenant Super Powers, I can see you thinking... Gee, should I submit a game for PbP Gameday VI? Or should I wait?

If you are hesitating on the brink... Know that our first Scenario Support Deadline is July 10th. What is Scenario Support, you ask? Scenario Support is when Paizo's way of supporting conventions. You offer to run a scenario, and if you submit it by the Scenario Support deadline, Paizo provides it to you.

Our first support deadline is July 10th! Plan accordingly!

Happy Gming,

Hmm,

I'll jump on the band wagon and offer up some House of Harmonious Wisdom. Got my game available now on PbP Gameday VI for sign ups!

Oooh, I hadn't realized, but that's my birthday! \o/ It's almost like Paizo knew! :D

That said, I think I'm up to the two tables I'd posted for and the one for GM school, so I probably shouldn't post up any more. Given that, though... I highly encourage all others to go for it! (If only so I can make more characters to send places because I'm a totally well-adjusted pbp'er, what're you talking about? I don't have pbp problems! :D)

Also, since I happen to be up at the insane hour, I'll take advantage of the time to wish all of those who are celebrating it a Happy 4th of July!

Hey guys, just had a spot open up in my 4-02 In Wrath's Shadow game. Its so far looking like high tier.

This is one of my favorite scenarios for a number of reasons. If you haven't done it, please make your way over to my table and get ready to have some fun!!

Happy Upcoming Birthday, Hiyami! My birthday is on the 19th of July -- man, I'll be 51! That's old!

I do advise not overcommitting as a PBP GM. I'm best with one table, but wound up on two -- The Special and one Starfinder. I know that if I do anymore I'll be overcommitted. Quality is better than quality.

Grand Lodge

A small tear in the fabric of reality starts in the corner of the room as a chill from beyond pours out from another time in existence. The crack splits farther and farther until a man stands within the room holding onto a scrap of paper.

"Where did that place me now?" He looks around the room and down at his hand, reading the scrap of paper that looks brittle and thousands of years old.

He sighs as he finishes reading the paper. "Have I not given enough. I must finish figuring out how to return to my time and my family in Thassilion before it is too late" He almost seems to mutter to himself as he crumples the paper in his hands.

His form begins to shimmer back and forth as it blurs in and out of this time.

"Agents!" His voice almost seems to echo as it distorts. "The city of Cassomir is in need. It seems some Pathfinder and Aspis agents have gone missing in the Imperial Naval Shipyards. Go at once......." The split in the world seems to close in an instant as the man disappears.

I'm planning to run the entire four-part Devil We Know series, beginning with 01-29 Part I: Shipyard Rats (1-7) in succession.
Please be able to post at minimum once a day with a good solid RP Post and be willing to stick through the entire series.

Signed up, I have a few low level characters that could go. 2 2nd levels and the rest are 1. somethings.

Scarab Sages

The letter from Venture Captain Ambrose Valsin was very clear - there was a rare opportunity upcoming for the Pathfinder Society to get a good look at the secrets held in the Town of Kassens coming of age ceremony.

They are inviting outsiders for the first time in ages due to some dead aspirants, dead bandits, and mysterious skeletons.

Will any agents dare to brave the Crypt of the Everflame to Chronicle its secrets for the good of the society and to liberate Kassen from its unholy nightmare?

I have added a table to the second block on the Gameday for Core Rise of the Goblin Guild. See if I get any bites.

I have added a Core table of 7-25 Orders from the Gate as well. No bites so far, but I had not yet posted here.
