I am now accepting sign ups for 2-25 You Never Die Twice for the second portion of Game Day, starting 6 Oct. Please sign up here! This is a Tier 5-9 game and promises some interesting twists that should be a lot of fun! Lottery will be held once the sign up sheet is full, but once again, the game will not start until 6 Oct.

The man shaped flame standing in the middle of the room points out several of the Pathfinders all looking for fun and zany adventures. "You.. You.. no, not you, You. Yes. Aaaaaannnd You. Come with me, please. We will get your costumes ready and keep you away from pointy objects for a short time before releasing you into the wilds.." he begins to explain as he leads the group out the front door.

I am looking for a replacement GM for an orphaned game of Master of the Fallen Fortress that is most of the way through its run.

Would any GMs in Flaxseed like to help this group finish?

Thanks in advance,
Hmm

Good morning,

I can pick that up.

Thanks Shifty!

Nice! c: Just out of curiosity, what happens when you pick up an orphaned group? Does the old GM just lose the credit they might've had to the new one? All the reporting happens at the end, right? o:

Thee couple times I've taken over an abandoned group I've just reported the session with myself as the GM. It seemed like the reasonable thing to do and I'm not sure that there's really a better solution.

Fair enough! I was just wondering, since I know there are definitely GMs that have suddenly disappeared, but return after whatever was going on settles. Are there ever any disputes or questions or do you just kind of give 'em a heads up? o:

Once you take over, it's your session. You report it at the end as if you were there from the beginning.

When I've done it in the past, I make every effort to either track down the DM's info or get ahold of them. If I can, I report it for them (unless I took over so early on that if they where players, I wouldn't have given them credit), so they get credit. However, I would say about 80% of the games I've taken over, the DM has either vanished utterly or did not respond, at least not immediately. If at the end I still don't have their info, I report myself.

Luckily, I've run games for so many people, and I tend to keep copies of all of the Chronicle Sheets I produce, I tend to have pretty good luck being able to find their PFS ID.

Ooooh, very nice! That's a really good idea! Thanks for indulging my curiosity, guys. c:

Here's the official VO ruling. If you take time to rescue an orphaned game and finish it, it is your game. Report it as yours as if you did the whole thing from the beginning. It can be quite a bit of work to take over for another GM, and sometimes restart a game that has lost all its forward momentum. You rescue it, it's yours.

Hmm

PS If your PBP Gameday VI Games are not already full, please consider reserving a seat or two for someone new and listing it here as well as on the PBP Gameday Site:

Thanks, everyone!

I have had such a varied response that I decided to split the tiers and add a table so no one will be left out due to tier choice. I still have two slots open for tier 5-6.

@GM DevilDoc- I played #2-25 already, fun times. I will wait for your Quest arc when you do it in the future.

Still have 3 slots left for high tier 4-02 In Wrath's Shadow.

Report to discussion here

Its a really unique 3-7 scenario that offers an archaeological thriller that is always quite challenging.

Recruiting for Shades of Ice—Part Parts I and II for Gameday VI Part I starts August 25th and Part II will start October 6. Part III will be run after Part II ends, and will not be part of Gameday VI. You may sign up for all three. It will be run in high tier.

I'd like to try to squeeze in a session of The Wardstone Patrol (Level 3 -7) before the game day in August. I'd like people who can post at least twice a day, so we can make sure we finish up before the game day starts. Sign ups can be found here. I'll leave sign ups open through Sunday, and hopefully get started on Monday.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

You put me at a table for 3-4 which is what I wanted, but didn't remove me from the 7-8 game I was signed up for before... I removed myself from that game, but that leaves Man Behind the Curtain's 7-8 classic game with only 4 players.. just thought you should know.

I'm sure I'll get another victimplayer sooner rather than later.

I can't get to the sign up sheet at the moment, but I'd like one of the 1- 2 classic seats, if someone can sign me up please!

I'll be that victim. I didn't realize I hadn't signed up for this yet. I assume that Cosmic Captive will finish before this starts.

Liberty's Edge

It seems like there are now a lot of PCs at core tables that aren't core characters. Are those tables being converted to classic tables?

Edit: Maybe they are mislabeled. They are colored green but labeled as CORE.

I signed up for that table too. Looks like they might need some front-liners. I have a few options at that tier.

It was a copy pasta mistake on my part. I changed the color, but forgot to change the text.

I'm glad he survived. I didn't really want to kill a PC but it was the only move that made sense. It was the guard at the gate and was taking what it knew knew was likely it's last shot. The only play that made sense was to try to kill the most wounded PC in the group.

Liberty's Edge

I am in. Thanks for listing the openings. Had a new character I wanted to get some playing time for and this is just right.

I'm recruiting for a classic run of Treacherous Waves for PbP Gameday VI. It's a 3-7 scenario and here is the recruitment thread. I played this at PaizoCon (with GM Lamplighter, my son, Feral, Pirate Rob, Hmm and her boyfriend) and had a great time, thought I'd open it up here for PbP.

Note: the comma after 'my son' is intended to make clear that Feral is, in fact, not my son. It is unclear what exactly spawned him.

Wrong table, we played Solstice Scar together. You played Treacherous Waves with some other yahoos.

Liberty's Edge

Recruiting to start immediately! The Confirmation, an evergreen scenario for tier 1-2. Priority will be given to newcomers!
