So, old player returning to the boards to test the waters a bit here.
What's the story with 1st Ed. PFS and content? Is Paizo still developing stuff for 1st ed? Or are we just kind of rolling forward with the existing content as they focus on 2nd ed?
Flaxseed is still 1st Edition (Both Standard and CORE). Piazo stopped producing material and content at Season 10. There are still players here enjoying that content, or came to PFS a little later and still have quite a bit to explore.

Gotcha. That's what I suspected. I'm already in a PF2 game (on the fence as to whether I'm interested in pursuing that, though).
And even with the 1E content out of development, there's WAY more than I could actually hope to finish up.

Flaxseeders, I am running a VTT Standard/Non-core game of PFS1 #8-07: From the Tome of Righteous Repose
This is a repeatable (evergreen) scenario for tier 3-7 PCs. We are currently trending towards high-subtier (PC levels 5-7)
I am running this in a four-hour slot over VTT = Google Slides and using Zoom for Voice.
Game starts Thursday, December 17:
• 6 pm Pacific
• 7 pm Mountain
• 8 pm Central
• 9 pm Eastern

So here is the dealio, I have a level 5 Core Wizard and I want to keep getting her chronicles. I also want to offer up some games to the player base here. However, I don't have a specific scenario in mind to run so this is what I want to do.
Note that this is NOT YET a recruitment post. This is your chance to suggest a scenario for me to run for your character.
So here is what I want, submit your request for a scenario for me to run. Include which character this is for and why they really need to run the scenario. I will chose from the requests, reserve a spot for that character and then open up recruitment to everyone else (FCFS probably).
Caveats
*This is CORE.
*I would prefer to offer this to lvls 5-7 PCs, especially since there isn't much out there for mid level Core PCs (level 8-9 running Tier 5-9 would work too).
*The scenario will need to be of a level that I can apply the chronicle to a level 5 PC.
*I'd really like to give this to a PC that really needs a specific scenario, so try to stress why your character wants/needs to do the mission.
*I may not be able to run a scenario due to already GM'ing it or playing it on my character, however that is only a small chance.
*I'll leave this open approximately 24 hours so most players get a chance to respond.

By the way, kudos to your Prime Minister for handling this pandemic perfectly. If I was in charge I would have done the same she did. For those who don't know, New Zealand a.k.a. Middle-Earth is pretty much COVID-free at this point...
GM Top, that is an awesome offer makes me wish I had core characters. I have a level 5 sorcerer that I have been waiting for a chance to play 9-17 or 7-25 with, but he isn't Core. Hopefully you find some good candidates.

Not sure what you are looking for in adult oriented?
They want to sit down and read through all the Society health plans and choose one besides the HDHP, because paying out of pocket for wands of CLW is getting too expensive. The PPO has a really high premium but they actually have a favorite cleric they go to for restoration, and the cleric's out of network for the HMO.

I am sure most tables will be alright with slight implication though just keep in mind that there are children playing on the boards as well. And at any point a player or table may ask to tone it down a bit or cur it for a certain table. Your best practice may be to touch base with your GM before the game and let him know roughly what you plan on posting. Your GM then should be able to give you some guidelines from that point.

We have an abandoned session of 5-01 The Glass River Rescue that needs a replacement GM. GM Baerlie originated this session for GameDay IX, and was replaced shortly after the start by EM±GM, who has sadly now disappeared as well. We're looking at over a month since the last GM post.

I'm content to limit myself to the options in that book for now, but I'm wondering how great an impact playing what is essentially a core character in standard rules would have? For example, if I get a chronicle sheet that lists items that aren't in the CRB, am I prohibited from purchasing them for my character until I own the corresponding Paizo book?
Either way, I'm excited to get back into role-playing. I'm putting together a character now.

I’m just coming back to the hobby myself, and have some low-level CORE characters I’’d like to dust back off. Mayb me we can drum up a GM willing to run us through something.

I'd say that a good number of the games here are in standard, but there are enough people wanting to play CORE that there's always games of it going on. If you wanted to just play in CORE campaign a table or three might be willing to take you.
As for owning the books to be able to buy or use items on chronicle sheets, I'm not sure about what standard's rules for it are, but for CORE I think it's okay? But I really don't know.

As others said, most games are run in standard mode.
I just recently joined a Core game and have been part of a group that was going through most of Season 5 with Core Characters. There are a variety of reasons for playing core, in the case of this group is it allowed the group to play some old content together. It can be very difficult to match up games with others.
If you get something listing a non-core item on a chronicle sheet, the core character that earned it has access to that item. Other core characters still would not have access.
Please be aware that you can't mix Core and Standard games on the same character. A core character that plays in a standard mode game becomes standard mode. This can cause problems if the person reporting the game fails to mark it as core.
Please feel free to ask other questions. There are a lot of people here that would be willing to help.
