Tork the wanderer |
"Hrmph. Oh. What happened?"
"We started banging on the gates. The Doc didn't like it and put some of us to sleep..Hope you had a nice nap. The Doc finally did give us some info. He says that Savario was selling forged papers in taverns and that maybe that didn't work out too well for him. That's all he had to say... Guess we should get some drinks and ask around. Sound like a plan?"
Oxnard |
Oxnard simply shrugs and makes to follow... a bit embarrassed at his uninformed over-reaction.
I'll be on a week long business trip, but should still be able to post from the hotel. Don't let me hold things up if not however, and feel free to DMPC my character.
Tork the wanderer |
assuming(dangerous word) that this plan is ok with everyone, we go searching for taverns and have our more charismatic members ask the bartenders(while tipping VERY generously) about someone selling forged papers
brvheart |
You will find some information about a guy that was looking to pass some paper for coin a few days ago in another bar. Did not see what happened with him though.
brvheart |
You ask around at the other bar and find out that this person seemed to disappear and some men left with a huge sack over their shoulder and headed to the Four Corners.
brvheart |
FYI, the Four Corners is where Dr Remallo is. You are going to need to do some night work and some second story work to get into the place.
brvheart |
Ok, here is a hint. The players map above has how many stories each building has.
Tork the wanderer |
Looks like the Inn is 3 stories tall. Are there any rooms for rent on the 3rd floor? . If so we could sneak along the roof tops into the 4 corners..

Smile. Tork and Baaliantar are getting the idea:) Why yes there are.
Zarzuzu Jelaquet |
In town for family business, Zarzuzu Jelaquet hears some light scratching on the ceiling of his room at the inn that could be footsteps.
"What's that..." the sleepy Zarzuzu mutters. "Silly cats..."
The Jelaquet Family loves felines, and currently has some 37 running around their estate. Considering Zarzuzu was dreaming about being home and practicing his proclivity for fire magic to direct a superheated ray to delicately cut a gemstone, it was only natural he forget he was, in fact, not in his bed at home, and should probably have been concerned about the idea of footsteps on the roof.
However, instead of being concerned, he simply fell back to sleep and began snoring lightly once again.
Rhîan-nôn |
Sitting with her friends in a tavern Rhiannon wonders how the last weeks happened so fast. Friends lost, but also misson accomplished, it had been a difficult time for them.
Absentmindly toying with her glass of wine she felt the tug of her familiar and reached down to stroke it gently.
brvheart |
I am impressed Rhian non, 100XP.
As soon as you buy mounts, etc and are ready to go give me an order of march and we will get started again.
Baalîantar |
Baalîantar walks into the Tavern, up to where Rhîan-nôn is seated.
The large half-orc is oblivious to most patrons giving him a wide berth.
The chair he sits on groans in protest under the combined weight of both his bulk and that of his gear.
"Sorry I'm late. Had to check on Bubble and Chuckles."
"Grooming, feeding, and all that sort of thing."
"Luckily those two are getting along famously."
"The journey would seem longer if my horse and donkey didn't get along."
"Speaking of feed; I'm hungry. As usual."
Baalîantar then orders enough food and ale for two or three people and proceeds to tuck in.
Rhîan-nôn |
Folks its Rhiannon, could not do it as a name is it was already taken in dozen of forms. Seems there are quite a few stevie Nicks fans on this board. By the way. R.A.Salvatore is one of them!
Hearing the half-orc order enough food for a week, Rhiannon smiles the smile they all liked about her. The smile, that all was well.
"So your mules are feed? Good, good. Now have a seat and enjoy some of yourself. Where are the others? Is Grenz still polishing his new short-sword. OOps I think that could be misunderstood. But no matter. He is usually late."
Wabbit |
The diminutive (even for a Halfling) Wabbit flips down from his standing perch on top of the rickety bar stool while miraculously retaining all the Ale in his mug "Thank you ...Thank you ...I'll be here all night" he says with a wide smile to the amused onlookers.
Finding the booth where Rhian is ogling the vast amounts of food about to be vanquished by Baal...Wabbit then hops up and takes his customary seat ON the table leaning comfortably against the wall surveying the room while careful not to stick his toes into Baal's food.
"Lively crowd tonight...Everyone else? Quin is probably feeding the wolf and Zarzazu is likely watching. I think he wants a wolf to ride as well?
might be my last post til I get back from vacation
brvheart |
Sorry Rhiannon and actually that will make things easier although with the cleric bowing out you are the only healer in the party again.
brvheart |
Well, the party might want to pick up some wands eventually at least.
brvheart |
As the party travels the King’s Road toward Endhome, they come upon the
sight of a slaughter. An entire caravan has been wiped out with the ferocity of wild beasts, though the arrows and weapon marks left behind show that it perpetrated by men.
Wabbit |
I do not mind being a healer:-) If you feel doubtful a witch can do it I reroll her as shaman, keeping the hexes :-) and having some other healing abilities.
IFyou don't mind filling the healer role a Witch Doctor Shaman will be good..... I don't feel confident that a Witch can completely fill that role. I'd prefer having a full 9 level divine caster... But only if you want to fill that role... I'd rather not add another character if we can avoid it...too many characters slows play down...

We have already had a massive turnover in this game so an extra party member or two might not be that bad of an idea. BTW, this is gameplay. Let's keep these comments to discussion please and move on whit the game.
brvheart |
Evening is falling as you travel along the King’s Road north
of the Gaelon River. You are in the civilized hinterlands of
the free city of Endhome but in an area where there are only
sporadic farms and granges. You must start thinking about
finding a place to stop for the night soon, and it doesn’t look
like an inn or cotter’s loft is going to conveniently appear.
You are eyeing a few possible clearings among the sparse
stands of trees that grow along the road when the wind
shifts and brings to your ears the sound of dogs growling
and fighting on the road ahead. Likewise the wind shift
brings with it the unmistakable smell of spilled blood.
brvheart |
Grenz, you can see where a group of at least 12 booted humanoids and a half-dozen wolves waited in ambush under the trees.
