I think divine fury is going to make Revjak's first blow in the next fight something to behold. :D
Reynwyn
What do you guys think about the Cantrips I selected for Reynwyn? Is there something else you all think might be more useful instead? Also, I think that I'm going to swap Witchbolt for Invisibility since we already have a substantial amount of damage dealers in the party and I think a little utility would go a long way.
*EDIT*
I had a brain fart and forgot that Toll the Dead was a Warlock cantrip already. Going to swap that out for something else... Any thoughts? Or preferences? Currently the debate would be between Minor Illusion or Message.
Revjak of the Elk
Invisibility, spare the dying, and guidance are solid choices.
Both have some great utility. I'd lean towards message personally.
Reynwyn
Thank you for your input, Revjak. I like to hear what my party members prefer.
One more change I decided I'm going to make it to change out Agonizing Blast for Book of Ancient Secrets. I like having that extra bit of damage on my attacks, but we have a LOT of damage in our party and I think having access to all the Ritual Spells would be far more beneficial to our group than an extra 3 points of damage on my attacks.
So, for my Book of Ancient Secrets I'm going to grab Alarm and Comprehend Languages!
*EDIT*
GM, now that I have access to ritual spells... are there any rituals in that spellbook Reynwyn has been carrying around? :)
Revjak of the Elk
You're welcome, and that is an excellent question.
GM Hewy
Reynwyn, giving up agonising blast, hey? You might find you want to take it again at some point in the future, just to keep up with damage as the beasties get tougher, but I can see why you're keen to jump into rituals right now :) I'll get onto the spells in the book asap, but...
Everyone, sorry for the slow pace from me at the moment, I am still quite ill (and may be for a while) but I've also been writing up some lengthy post material that I should get up soon. Level 3, and about to hit Waterdeep - how exciting! It's great to see your characters starting to get a bit more kickass. Don't go anywhere!
Revjak of the Elk
No worries on the pace Hewy, you're still ill so that's understandable!
The group works well, I'm happy.
GM Hewy
Okay, lengthy spoilered gameplay post now up. Sorry again for the wait guys, hope you find them suitably vague yet informative. As mentioned there, please just read your own.
I'll also put a link under the notes spoiler on the campaign info page to that post, just in case you ever want to read your dream again.
Also, seems there's not much happening on the loot spreadsheet. Can everyone put a little bit in to updating that over the next couple of days? Basically, there's loot that you won't get to keep if it doesn't get jotted down. If you want something, just take it, but tell everyone else that you're taking it, and if anyone wants something that someone else is taking, just pipe up. If no one challenges you taking it, it's yours; if someone does challenge you, I'm sure you guys will be able to work it out.
Then at least someone gets it, rather than it just being left behind (e.g. Garen's gear including gems, the ankheg carapaces, etc).
Reynwyn
Yes, I think for the next few levels having those rituals will be more beneficial to the group as a whole. Also, Comprehend Languages is a bit of a, shall we say, personal choice for Reynwyn ;). I'm likely going to pick up Agonizing Blast again at 5th level when he gains access to another Invocation.
Also, worry not, I have no plans on disappearing anytime soon. I am very much enjoying this game so far.
GM Hewy
Okay, finally got that spellbook sorted for you Reynwyn. It contains the following spells:-
• 1st level:
○ colour spray
○ disguise self
○ false life
○ protection from evil
○ Tenser's floating disk*
• 2nd level:
○ darkness
○ knock
○ Melf's acid arrow
○ silence*
• 3rd level:
○ fireball
○ Leomund's tiny hut*

No worries Carric. Enjoy your holiday!
GM Hewy
Enjoy the beach Carric, it's winter here in the southern hemisphere ... We're entering a pretty RP-focused phase (although combat is always a possibility!), so not levelling up immediately isn't an issue, and neither is not posting much - although you might have a bit of reading waiting when you get back :)
Speaking of which, I hope the occasional massive post (like the one I just put up) isn't a drag for anyone. I get carried away sometimes.
Revjak of the Elk
I've no issue with that long post, except that I'll need a chunk of time to read it and reply. :)
Reynwyn
I'm okay with the long posts as well! Crazy busy day at work and then had to get little man to karate. I probably will not have time to get a decent post in tonight. I will tomorrow though!

HP: Average (6) + 2 = 8
Monster Slayer Archetype
Additional Spell: Protection from Evil
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to peer at a creature and magically discern how best to hurt it. As an action, choose one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. You immediately learn whether the creature has any damage immunities, resistances, or vulnerabilities and what they are. If the creature is hidden from divination magic, you sense that it has no damage immunities, resistances, or vulnerabilities.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Starting at 3rd level, you can focus your ire on one foe, increasing the harm you inflict on it. As a bonus action, you designate one creature you can see within 60 feet of you as the target of this feature. The first time each turn that you hit that target with a weapon attack, it takes an extra 1d6 damage from the weapon.
This benefit lasts until you finish a short or long rest. It ends early if you designate a different creature.
Additional first level Spell: Hail of Thorns
Primeval Awareness

I've added Galen's gear and the ankheg shells to the loot page. If I've missed anything, let me know.
Revjak of the Elk
You're welcome. I had meant to do it sooner, but better late than not. :)
I do believe that is everyone levelled up.
GM Hewy
Revjak, I really like how you favourite others' posts when they put in that little bit extra. I'm trying to adopt that myself, as I find it quite encouraging when someone favourites my posts, but I quite often forget to; I'm going to continue to try to improve on that.
Also, shout out to Piety for your continued commitment to your character, difficult though he may be. Giving you inspiration for your consistency of roleplaying. Keep up the good work!
Of course, you all deserve encouragement for your roleplaying, and I'll continue to hand it out when I remember, but I'd like to introduce a mechanic whereby you can nominate each other for inspiration. Please be vocal here on the discussion thread when you think someone deserves to get it, and I'll likely oblige. And if someone nominates someone else and you agree, second their nomination.
Reynwyn
I agree, it has been very nice to see that he favorited several of my posts!
I think that sounds like a fantastic idea, Hewy.
Revjak of the Elk
Cheers for the shout out Hewy. I try to be encouraging. :)
Reynwyn, you have very evocative posts. If Hewy is letting us nominate for inspiration, I think those deserve some!
*Piety
That's a policy that I have when I run Feng Shui and Spycraft: I often get so caught up in running the game that I forget to give out bonuses/inspiration, so it helps to rely on others.
Also, thanks for rewarding me for being a racist pig!
Reynwyn
Thank you very much, Revjak! I truly take that as high praise.
For Piety, I do not know if you saw this or not yet, but there is now an official Warforged race from D&D in the form of the Wayfinders Guide to Eberron! It presents three different subraces and I think you would like the Envoy for your concept. I picked up the digital format from DNDbeyond and can screenshot the info if you'd like.
*Piety
I haven't heard of this book. Let me go do some research.
EDIT: aaand I bought it. Read some reviews that said it was worth it. I've read through the information presented on Warforged and it's interesting.
Dragonmarks are REALLY interesting.
Arthur d’Cannith
I am going to wait for it to hit print on demand... though that will be a while and I may get impatient especially if I keep hearing good things.
*Piety
Dragonmarks are a sub-race (which takes the place of, say, Hill Dwarf). Warforged now has three separate subraces, which of the three I think Juggernaut makes the most sense for Piety (and would indeed make me want to rebuild him sans his Barbarian level, as it covers most of the things that I took barbarian for).
Revjak of the Elk
I think a rebuild given more recently released material can make sense. Zealot gives barbarian a lot of what Berserker ought to have IMHO.
*Piety
Can do boss:
Race info: going with Warforged (Juggernaut)
Stat mods: +1 con
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Warforged Resilience. You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits:
• You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
• You are immune to disease.
• You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
• You don’t need to sleep and don’t suffer the effects of exhaustion due to lack of rest, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Sentry’s Rest. When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this
state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.
Integrated Protection. Your body has built-in defensive layers, which determine your armor class. You gain no benefit from wearing armor,
but if you are using a shield, you apply its bonus as normal.
You can alter your body to enter different defensive modes; each time you finish a long rest, choose one mode to adopt from the Integrated Protection table, provided you meet the mode’s prerequisite.
Integrated Protection
Darkwood Core (unarmored): None 11 + your Dexterity modifier (add proficiency bonus if proficient with light armor)
Composite Plating (armor): Medium armor proficiency 13 + your Dexterity modifier (maximum of 2) + your proficiency bonus.
Heavy Plating (armor): Heavy armor proficiency 16 + your proficiency bonus; disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common.
Subrace. As a warforged, your body was designed for a specific purpose. Choose one of these subraces: envoy, juggernaut, or skirmisher:
Juggernaut
You’re an imposing war machine built for close combat and raw might. You tower over your comrades; juggernaut warforged stand between 6 and 7 feet in height and can weigh up to 450 pounds.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2.
Iron Fists. When you make an unarmed strike, you can deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage instead of the normal damage.
Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Going Fighter level 3:
Fighting Style (Defense)
Martial Archetype (Brute)
Going to modify my base stats a bit to (after racial mods):
str 16
dex 8
con 16
int 14
wis 12
cha 8
That will change my max HP to: 31
My AC will also be 19, as I will always be taking Heavy Plating.
Let me know if there are any problems and I can adjust. Thanks!
Revjak of the Elk
@Piety: Looks good!
Revjak of the Elk
I will be away for both of the next two weekends. I should still be able to post at points during both, but less regularly than usual for me at weekends.
Reynwyn
Sorry on my lack of posting recently. Work has been incredibly busy that past few days and I've been having issues getting onto the website. That said, I'm here and headed to the Gameplay thread to catch up!
