The Bogshark Fiasco

Game Master Lord Grey

Chapter 3 - Circling Sharks

The storm spins overhead. Lightning crashes, fiery explosions cast red glares in brief bursts over the city. Freezing rain sweeps the streets, and the cities' dazers shamble toward the lightning struck house.

too bad we aren't 7th. This would be a perfect chance for Adrian to use "know you Enemy" :D

What's that, Grellik? 7th?

FFS the maths.
15 gp, 15 sp (original wealth)
206.7gp, or 155gp (splitting found wealth)
22 sp, 14 cp (dazer coinpurse)
----------------------
170gp, 37sp, 14cp or 222gp, 7sp, 14cp
depending on if we split it 3 ways or 4, I don't recall what we did.

Oh I see. Split three ways including Ozz and not Grellik, right? You're talking about the first night at this hideout split, not returning from the execution, right?

HP 47/63, AC 18, Init +7, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +4, Dex +5, Con +4, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 1/6 + 2/3, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 0/1, SW: 0/1

Yeah, the black pearl and pouch of platinum. No idea on the split, all I said at the time was that Cavell wanted his share.

Alright. I can only speak for Ozz that he doesn't give much of a shit about the coin. He'd take... 10 gold maybe just in case it comes up but is fine with his share being used by you guys to what you think is best.

HP 47/63, AC 18, Init +7, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +4, Dex +5, Con +4, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 1/6 + 2/3, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 0/1, SW: 0/1

K so 620gp-10gp/3=203.33gp each. If Triss or Grellik want more or less than equal splits we can adjust.

when are we dividing this out (in game terms) just so I know?

It'd have happened over night, I believe. Pre-leaving for the execution.

I think you're splitting stuff found before Grellik joined up too, maybe. I'm not sure if that's something you guys wish to take into account.

Also, I did some reformatting of the NPC list over in Campaign Info. Any suggestions, or does it look alright as is?

Bogshark 101: Gossip

....."Coming along to the brothel with me? Fancy a lass yourself?" ~ Adrien

It wasn't the first time Trissae's sexual proclivity had been teased at. Being both a Bogshark and drow, rumor and gossip were to be expected. However what is more interesting is the rumors that were spoken in hushed tones within the Sharks themselves as they had first hand experience with triss's various exploits and doings.

It all started some years ago, at Trissae's first joining. When she joined she was quiet, shy, and reserved hiding away from most of the other Sharks. It took a while, and some goading from certain sharks (such as Mornak) to break her shy streak and warm up to the group. One of the members in particular Triss opened up to and became particularly close with, Feng.

Feng had the fortunate, or unfortunate depending on your point of view, luck of having been born a blackscale dragonborn. This comes with the particular association of being the child of Tiamat. Thus Feng shared a similar history to Trissae of racial prejudiced and bias that made the pairing of the two unsurprising. Of particular note the two became so close that they began to share a bedroll, and as far as Triss knows Feng is the only Bogshark to have seen her unclad as they shared a secret bathing falls in the bog.

Of course this kind of activity makes for good gossip, and tales of secret meetings in the dark and dark skinned lovers in the bog moon light were abound. Of course the truth was much more tame, as is usual for the good natured and naive Trissae. The sharing of the bedroll was born out of practicality: Before the Shark's resided in their current residence they were largely nomadic within the bogs and as a result slept in colder conditions. It was Feng who noticed that Trissae would shiver while trancing and invited her to share the bed. While Trissae didn't need to sleep as Feng did, she appreciated the warmth and grew to enjoy the sense of companionship in the effort. It was this companionship that was essential to Trissae opening up to the sharks, and further with Feng (thus why she would eventually feel comfortable enough to share a bathing space).

The rumors became so obvious that it began to affect how some of the Sharks interacted with the pair. In one instance Igna rebuked a perceived sexual advance from Trissae, of course Triss was just being her usual overly nice self, an over reaction that the others still harass Igna about to this day. Another instance is of a well meaning if not awkward "bird and bees" speech from Giant where in he proceeded to use a bunch of dated dwarven analogies such as: "Thumbing the hole where you put the pipe weed." and "If ye be taming a Dragon make sure to control the head by the horns." This lead to some obvious confusion and Trissae has retold these stories to others as some "mysterious dwarven legends" she once heard.

As with all things though, time slowly eroded the rumors. First, The boss procured their current living space from some trolls. He claims he "Won" it from them but would never divulge what that meant. The new home meant that they had shelter from the elements which nolonger facilitated the need for shared bedding. The sleeping area was much more communal too, So Triss and Feng both decided it would be awkward to continue to do it with the same regularity. The other factor which all but halted the activity was the addition of Adrien. With his arrival Feng no longer would invite Triss over. At first this made her sad, but in time she realized that it was likely that Feng fawned over Adrien and didn't want to seem unavailable by having somebody bed with her. Thus the rumors and gossip slowly faded back into the bogs from which they came.

However, there are still rare occassion on a cold night when Triss and Feng are away from the others that Feng will cozy up close to Triss muttering "for warmthhha.." and the two will share a stary filled night together, and Trissae is perfectly happy with that.

I like it!

Now I'm going to ship Adrien/Feng.

Goals

(Main)
-Escape from Yartar.
(optional)
-Rescue other Bogsharks.
-Find Ozz.
-Discover source of plague/storm.

Thoughts? Anything needing added/removes/formatted-differently?

HP 27/72, AC 17, Init +0, P.P. 13[darkvision60], Saves: S+8, D+0, C+6, I+3, W+4, C-1, Spell Save DC:15

Hmm, as far as Grellik is concerned, rescue the other Bogsharks is priority #1, and he is not going to want to leave before at least finding out what happened to Ozz. Especially since he failed to save Mornak, though if it comes to it he may admit defeat there and just try to get the hell out of Yartar. Apart from that, that seems like a comprehensive list

AC 14, HP 44/61, Init +5, P.P. 11, S. DC 16, Insp: 1, HD: 6/9, BI: 0/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (1/3), 3rd (0/3), 4th (0/3), 5th (1/1) Bard (9)

I'm not sure how optional any of those are to us, they all feel pretty mandatory and sorta key to the escape part. Darn you compelling story and DM!

HP 27/72, AC 17, Init +0, P.P. 13[darkvision60], Saves: S+8, D+0, C+6, I+3, W+4, C-1, Spell Save DC:15

personally, as a player I want to find out what is going on with the dazers(seems to be the plot hidden within the 'we're highwaymen trying not to get executed' plot), but Grellik is fine if they can just escape the city with their comrades

Yeah "Optional" was a poor choice of word. "Sub" might be better.

Again, if you guys wish to write/format a list of goals/important tidbits I will enshrine them in the places only the DM can access.
