Ephebe |

She was back in the hall of mirrors. Or was it the maze? A maze of mirrors? And every mirror showed her a different reflection. At first it seemed like it was just a trick, but after a while it started to get to her. Which one of the reflections was the real her? Who was she? She ran frantically from mirror to mirror trying to find the answer, but every mirror showed her something different. Who was she? She couldn't remember anymore. She ran faster and faster, sobbing with frustration and fear until she ran into a dead end. The mirror at the end showed a solemn child holding a headless doll. The child smiled at her menacingly and she screamed, stepping back right into a pit that hadn't been there a moment earlier. She screamed as she fell....
...and woke up gasping and drenched in sweat. Another nightmare. They wouldn't stop. The healers had told her that her nightmares would get better if she talked about the things that were bothering her. But there were things she couldn't talk about, might never be able to talk about. She got out of bed and paced for a while before finally falling asleep curled up in an armchair.

Krays |

Shoots a look at Spin
"I told you having Whoops jump out at people wouldnt be funny"
grumbles
"Hey Prof, how much longer do we have to copy these abberant species catalogs...Detention sucks"

Asch Redgrave |

Asch wakes with Amada comfortably curled up against his chest. He quietly gets out of bed and moves to the small practice room Amada always adds to the mansion. He begins by performing a few simple stretches. As soon as the stretches were finished he creates a small blade of shadow and throws it high in the wall. As the blade leaves his hand he rushes towards the spot he threw at. He runs straight up the wall for a moment before gravity starts to kick in he grabs the blade that just embedded its self in the wall. Asch kicks off the wall and backflips to the ground landing in a crouch.
He then settles into a smooth routine practicing with two shortsword made from solid shadows.

narrator |
Once everyone was awake and had eaten breakfast it was time to face another day on the Island of Sudden Death with Too Many Teeth. The group headed out once more into the wilds to explore.
Which is when they briefly encountered Bradley's group minus Bradley running away from a literal army of trees.

Rameil |

Rameil builds a small fire and cooks a small animal he caught before going to sleep. He wakes up a few times throughout the night to scare of predators, and once to find a scroll case containing a detailed map of how to get to Avalon from the island. Scrawled at the bottom is a warning.
"Hurt him and die."
Which is when they briefly encountered Bradley's group minus Bradley running away from a literal army of trees.
"Which fool walked through the sapling nursery?"

narrator |
Jeran picked his teeth clean with a splinter of bone from the girallon he and his pack had killed and eaten last night. He liked this island. It felt like home. All kinds of fun things to kill and no stupid adults around to tell him not to. The rest of the pack was sprawled out still sleeping as the morning sun came up. He heard a commotion further into the forest and shrugged. Not his problem.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Fei leaves the confines of the magical structure early enough to perform his morning katas with the rising of the sun.
He begins to say something when their group spies the portion of the forest chasing Bradley's group, but just sighs and shakes his head when they disappear from view.

Asch Redgrave |

Just saying the mansion will be here for 26 hours altogether and only people Amada has set can enter so everyone in the group can get in and out when ever they want as well as the bear. Don't know about Rameil yet should he be allowed? I know he slept outside....
"What should we do now with everything that's happened?"

Vakkler Relkav |

Dragonborn, might want to check the RotR game. You don't seem to be watching it as attentively as you watch this game. That makes some sense, since this game goes quicker, but checking the other one daily would help to speed up this combat. Just my two dimes*.
*Because everybody values my opinion so much. Shut up, yes they do!

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Ephebe yawns. "Not sure. Should we try to stop the rampaging trees or leave well enough alone?"
"If the overall goal of this exercise is to work together for the benefit of all, then it would seem that we need to," Fei replies quietly as he watches the treeline sway ominously.
"Though there is also merit in trying to catalog some of the plant and animal life while we are here..."

Ephebe |

"Exercise or not, starting a forest fire that will consume the entire island is not a good thing."
"But that's what create water is for," she says, surprised to see him. "You're still here? I thought for sure you'd have already headed off to Avalon."
She sighed. "Fine have it your way." She handed a scroll to Asch. "That'll do it with less destruction."
It's transmute rock to mud.

Rameil |

"While that spell is useful for putting out campfires, you are talking about setting fire to trees that can move. I am still here because I have been here a long time and there are things I must see to before I go. I doubt you wouldn't have been suspicious of my sudden disappearance as well, since I got the map while you were sleeping."

"No way, you're thinking too small. I said create water not create drizzle." She shrugged. "You could have left a note. Whatever."
She seemed to be in a strange mood this morning, her reactions bouncing all over the place.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

"Want to see how well walking trees burn?"
"As we are in the middle of a forested area (with fellow students out there somewhere), and have druids in our own group, I would rather not."
:)

Asch Redgrave |

Asch grins as he fires the shell positioning the shot to miss the students firing two more shells in rapid succession.

Ephebe |

"Whoops. Guess Asch wasn't listening. You might still want this scroll, it'll keep them from running off and starting a forest fire," she said, slamming a shell into her Caster and taking aim.
Okay, so Ephebe likes to tinker with magic so this shell has ten scrolls of create water in it, which will create about 320 gallons of water. Twenty percent chance of weird side effects.

Why am I remembered of Remember? There's one comic where the characters come up with a plan to get out of an underground city (under a desert)with create water, and they misunderstand how much water the spell creates. Badness ensues. :P

Hmmm........it does match with Asch....but do I really want to burn down the whole forest.....
Let it stand. Ephebe already cast create water and how. Plus she gave you a scroll of transmute rock to mud to keep the trees in place...that should go interestingly with the create water...

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

Jiminy frowns. This was not good. Right. Trees first, then get Ephebe out of anywhere she can cause harm and figure out what was going on. He went to grab the scroll from Asch, but Asch cast it first.
"Okay. Fun's over." He grabbed Ephebe's shoulders and turned her back towards the mansion.
"Stick around for a few more minutes," he said to Rameil. "She may be going back to Avalon with you."
And with that he shoved her inside the door to have a little chat.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" he yelled as soon as they were out of earshot of the others. "You're not acting like yourself."

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

His jaw dropped. She sounded completely nuts. What...and then he realized that she was sleepwalking. He slapped her hard across the face.
"C'mon, Pheebs, wake up, please."

In the Rose of the Prophet trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, a wizard named Mathew teaches several women how to cast a simple spell that will create a fog to help them escape from their enemies. The chief component of spell is water and Mathew has never cast the spell in a desert environment. While they provided all the water they could for the spell to work, it was not enough. What they didn't know is when the spell is not given enough water, it will seek out water from any source possible. And what is the human body mostly made of?

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

"Ngh. Ow. That hurts. What? Where? What happened?"
"Sorry. I had to wake you up. You were sleepwalking, but it was hard to tell because you looked like you were awake. Dammit, Pheebs, the dreams are getting worse. You have got to do something about them. Talk to someone. Anyone. I don't care. I know you won't talk to me, but pick somebody."
He ran his hand through his hair distractedly. "I think maybe you should go back to Avalon."

Vakkler Relkav |

Mr. Relkav stomps into the cafeteria and grabs a student (the same one who was bothering him earlier)by the cuff. "WHAT would you be doing, boy?"
"Um, eating?"
"I didn't give you permission to do that!"
"Well, I didn't think I needed--"
"You have DETENTION." Vakkler starts towards his office, nearly dragging the boy. "You are LATE."

Where are the other teachers?! Seriously, someone set his slurks loose or something! Keep him distracted!

Rameil |

"What are those two doing?" Asch asks as he watches for any dangers.
Perception:1 d20 + 20
I don't think you're going to hear anything, since they went back into the mansion and closed the door.
"A creative way to stop the trees from rampaging. It's a good thing they can get up on their own." Rameil says as he observes the muddied trees.

Vakkler Relkav |

"Professor Reklav, what do you think your doing? Students are allowed to eat even during detention. At least let him finish before you take him off." Aleister says as he sees him trying to drag the student from his food. His voice still seemingly emotionless as usual.
"Food is PROVIDED. I am more EXPERIENCED in the matters of DISCIPLINE than you are. If you will excuse me, I have heard those who FAILED are trying to set up a table of SIN in my OFFICE."

I mean it as in why did Jiminy suddenly drag Ephebe back to the mansion.
"If they didn't all burn up already." 132 points of fire damage. Asch says as he continues to look around.
"Awww they're trying to get back up....how annoying." He says annoyed that the spells didn't put them down. He begins to load a cone of cold shell to finish them off.
