Mel tries to compose herself and reaches up to touch the wall thinking of Kai. Where are you Kai?
Hm? Lyn has said before that Mind Blank makes it so the arrows can't find you.

OK :)
The school responds with an X in place of normal arrow

She hadn't spoke loud enough that he heard, but the person who had kusurigama is attacking wooden dummies he set up,
A blur of silver chain and there is a muted wumph of the spiked ball slamming into its target
"hey midori,"
Midori is kneeled down on the rooftop, watching the older student practice with the shinobi weapon, once again curious as to what clan this older boy belonged. When Grim comes up behind her, she's completely unaware of his presence. When the young reaper speaks, Midori practically jumps out of her skin with fright and sudden adrenaline... and slips off the roof, falling to the 20ft to the section below where Renkai is practicing.
Falling Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7
Midori cries out as she lands hard on her side. She can tell she has a broken rib, but she's up and ready to fight instantly, adrenaline coursing through her.

Hearing a scream Renkai spins around, Kama at the ready... the ball still lodged in the dummy...
then he sees it is but a young girl... and she is injured... he simply drops the weapon, and moves to help, not believing her to be a threat.

grim flies after her 60ft fly +dive and heals her 1d8+5 when he gets to her if he can't catch her.
actually I have to change this a bit for you... And besides, remember that you have human reaction time... it'd shock you that she fell, therefore slowing your chances to catch her
Seeing the dark winged angel coming down towards her, he drives a punishing backhand at his chest to knock him away...
Lang Fei |
Lang perception to hear Midori -10 for distance: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
Lang stop looking up toward the roof. he only knew a few things Sara need him, and the school was attacked. now a girl's scream.
Lang flies as fast as he can toward whoever just yelled. seeing Grim and Midori injured as well as someone he has not met before.
Grim, Midori are you alright! Lang yells as he swoops in to lang beside Grim
not letting his guard down unsure about what is happening.

that's why I posted that he would heal her if he failed, also for the record my wings are green and glowing and I am wearing red dragon leather armor with a few metal plates to reinforce it under a black holocaust cloak, normally I wear a black hoodie and black cargo pants

I see girl getting up from a fall, and a black winged angel looking guy with a scythe and black (or red) leather everything, who shot me earlier... standing where she fell from... then comes down after her... so it makes sense with the details I have...

He hands her the paper and let's her trace it out.
Were we told this was an old firebird temple?
When she's done he casts dancing lights and puts a page over top and copies it out. Then again then again until everyone has a copy.
"Should we all mark a path and follow it out. Maybe we can cover all the maze?"

"ow, dude what is your problem!" he channels energy into his scythe. gives it +1d6 damage and 1 negative level on hits
again, wings are green
"Oh no you don't!"
Renkai takes a rapid forward step and attempts to clamp his hands over Grim's and if successful will spin it up and out of his handsMidori Tsuyomi |

The strange man was standing over her quickly, and she saw Grim dive down after her, and then get knocked away by the man. "MATTEO!" she shouts in her native tongue, though her voice is strained and full of pain - Grim never got close enough to cast his healing spell. "Wait, please!" she adds, in still the same strained voice. She hasn't put away her weapons, but if the wards were working and this man wasn't in detention now... maybe he had been trying to protect her. Midori makes the tactical assessment quickly, and proceeds to say. "Wait, Grim-kun, don't attack." is all she can manage on that breath, before taking another ragged breath, obviously her lungs aren't working great right at that moment.
When Lang shouts, Midori waves at him, but doesn't shout back.

make a DC 32 strength check, to remove it from me as per the inseparable weapon SU ability
Was doing it as cinema..... when did dice come in? *looks around* but okay
being unable to disarm the weapon from the boy he instead drives him to his knees with a rapid knee to the thigh...
then hesitates and holds him there while listening to the girl's shreiks... Maybe it wasnt his fault...

first off you aren't letting me do stuff, you made two standard actions and a move action as the larger boy charges at him he takes the blunt side of his scythe and bats him away trying to keep him off of him
I can attempt disarm as an attack action, not a standard. and a 5 foot step isnt a move action, and I'm trying not to let you hit me with that so I dont attempt to murder a child

"what happened? you look kinda panicked,"
do I have anything to say? hmmmm. yes but this is not fifty shades of grey
Mel looks to Arthur.
Its Kai, he...he lost control. started threatening everyone. I don't want my friends hurt becuase of me. especially you Artie. He may see you as a threat. I don't know what is going through his mind anymore. I...
she looks like she is about cry again. when I need to hold someone the most they're not here. Mel reaches out for Ginni, the closest friend she has here at the moment. but glances toward Arthur with fear in her eyes, not fear of Arthur but rather fear for him.

no I told you to roll a str check to see if a disarm check was possible, I would have let you auto pass the disarm check and besides counting that first hit (even assuming you have improved unarmed and thus didn't provoke an attack of opportunity) you hit with the backhand, the disarm and the tackle/grapple now then how can you do all of that in one round

"That is the strange part - I had not triggered it, and unless I've quite lost my head since I arrived, there ought to have been several more days left before it expired. I do not remember any spells directed at me that might have stripped it..." After a moment's consideration, he shrugs and listens as Fei speaks.
"I shall speak to a Professor Sunwake then, thank you for your assistance, Fei. I shall tarry a moment longer here."
While apparently looking around, her attention drawn to things beyond the two gentlemen, or perhaps the 'chit chat' that the conversation had gotten too, Anahita pauses suddenly in her sweep of the landscape nearby to look first at Fei.
"Do not let me keep you from your duties, or choice in life, Fei, Champion of Courage. May your journey be swift, as if with wings of a griffon." She attempts some poetic sounding words.
Then glancing at Vare, then focusing on him, she asks, "You dismiss that your contingency spell triggered without your control as a wizard, and yet you ... seem indifferent to this? We were attacked. What if you were somehow attacked and did not or cannot remember? I do not know you well enough to realize if this is your normal manner in living or--" she pauses a moment as if 'hearing/seeing' something else and shakes her head while talking to herself, apparently.
After a few moments, she focuses on Vare again and says, "I have been chided for questioning you and your methods, my apologies. You are a professor after all, I am but a student." With a frown though, she looks off again, falling quiet to her thoughts, and most likely, continued chatter of Jivana in her mind.

Aridient and Raelle's arrival was as uneventful as the last teleport room event. A quick and sudden shift of location, when peering out, all the scenery was changed.
Given the directions that were provided though, historically speaking, the abjured Firebird they sought, a Villem Del Helios, would most likely due to high intelligence and various other 'judiciary' warnings and rulings against, not be an immediate one to find.
What they hadn't accounted for, however, was the sprawling township up ahead, made of various structures that looked more ransack then anything else. Various metal walled and brick buildings, far in the distance, numbering some thirty or more odd shapes, none taller than three stories at most, with a single 'tower' in the middle, gleaming in an odd dark hue of grey, or so it appeared.
The weather here was over cast, there were clouds lingering in the air, and the air itself, was a hint 'dirty' in scent, as if some stink of burnt material lingered after a massive fire-- or constant fire.
The township itself, had various smoke plumes, of grey and black, a few miles ahead against the mostly hillish and near mountain terrain.
