Walking fearlessly into the odd town, the Aridiente and Raelle party are quick to notice they are /quite/ unique in appearances here.
Most of the people appear to be humanoids, with regular sized eyes, dark skin of the desert or higher pigmentation than normal. Nearly impossible to distinguish who is male or female, due to the (apparently worn by everyone) thick, unrevealing robes, made of an odd fabric which seems blackened on purpose.
There are very few 'standard' village things, and above all else, no written symbols visible and an air of silence.
Upon walking into town, the natives immediately prostrate themselves, and are silent. The only thing Aridiente's diplomatic advances, backed by Raelle's impressive assistance in social manner helps with, is one extra added glance up, very brief, before the bold person's forehead is on the dirt floor again.
Ardiente is looking around curiously, a little disturbed at this apparent servility... he knew that posture. It was absolute servitude. His gut wrenches slightly in anger at whomever had trained these people to act this way. He studies them further though, watching even slight changes in body language. Unconsciously, he has moved a little closer to Raelle, ready to defend her if necessary.
"I see. Well, alright."
igni takes a few chocolate bars, and puts them on his crude bowl. He heats the bowl up till it's red hot, and drinks some of the melted chocolate in sips.
"Loosely water based, but good tasting. Shouldn't have too much of it."
"Raelle usually mixes a little into hot glycerine. She says that lets her enjoy the flavor without getting sick."
igni looks up.
"I'll be fine with a few bars. I've got a strong gut. That, and i don't have any glycerin on me at the moment."
"I can't do anything but try pouring a potion down his throat."

After a few minutes Mel enetered the cafeteria Lang shows up looking around the room eventually seeing the girl he met rescueing Tryko'Sam.

Hermes stands and eats nothing due to the fact that he is a robot and has no mouth, tongue, need for food, or sense of taste. Poor thing.
adon walks up to, but not too close to, Hermes.
"Hello."
Adon is covered in hardened dirt and rocks up to his neck.
"I'm adon. I want something to do, and you look interesting. Want to talk?"
"Hello, Adon. I am HRMS-XI nicknamed Hermes. Conversation has the capacity to be interesting."
Its face doesn't move as his camera looks him up and down.
"Are you a type of elemental?"
"I'm sorry? Why would you think that?"
"Your epidermis appears to be primarily rock and earth."
"No, that's just mud that was turned to rock on my skin earlier. The mud seeped into my skin and turned to stone. It's thin, but it's like there are needles all over the place."

she munches another chip, then stretches, her small wings fanning out for a moment.
Ace asks "Kitty, would it be alright if I healed you now? I am unsure if I any of my spells would help Keme or not, but I can try" He moves to examine the young man on the ground.

"Um. I can just take a shower later. Or now. I could go now. In fact, it's getting late. I should head to bed."

Meanwhile... Elsewhere on Agartha.
Sure enough, Ariente, primarily, would realize that these people were doing exactly as he surmised, giving him their full attention, insofar as groveling would allow, the moment some actually was addressed. It was a wave of such, however, of people kneeling down prostrate before what they considered divine, or worthy of such.
Given their quick study, it would be immediately obvious that they were not replying only awaiting direction, from the obviously (to them) superior beings.
From where the pair stood now, one other tidbit stood out to them both, with Raelle grasping it even more fully due to the structures of the very village itself.
No matter where a villager (if such were residents here) kowtowed to the pair, the individual and thus as far as their eyes could tell, all along the streets that were like lines directly leading to the middle of town, were more doing so with the tower like structure in the background, tall dark and standing out in this hillish town.
So, as far as the pair could see, the villagers were in full prostration, while facing towards the middle of town, which seemed to be by design, made to support the "view".
Never mind that no one replied or spoke. Even their breathing was as quite as possible.
No animals or other smaller creatures were noticed, just these humanoids (most likely humans) of undetermined sex and breed.
It seemed as if the entire village grew silent and waited, on their knees.
There are easily a good thirty or more beings near the two students, though, none within touching range or moving as they remained in their worship like state. Emperors or gods /might/ be familiar with the feeling or view.
Mel takes a few brethes before responding to Lang
