Remove all reaction mass from "liquid assets" file, set a reminder to appraise the rest when we have the time, oh, and when we have the time we should also get some more obsidian, they work very well, but they really don't last very long
Also would Vis be able to do any enchantments unique to her magic style?

Who are all our crazy smarter "maker" characters?
I know Arthur, Melody, Aananda, Jimminy, am I missing anybody else?
I have this super wonky crazy character that I need to fully research before even suggesting it to Lyn, but I'm looking to at least get the ball rolling.

In what respect are you referring?
Tybs is going to make a lot of stuff.
Hermes fits in the group you listed, but he's kind of part of Arthur's whole thing.
Kev is pretty smart, but he is on the squishier end of science.
Reviarti made Tural.
DK had that Romulus guy, but I don't think he is brining him back. At least not that I've seen.

And my oozes are like squishy constructs. :P
Once I get some time I have a really neat idea I want Kev to show people. ^_^

Ok, so this is the concept in a nutshell:
Won't happen for awhile mind, as the Dragon Empire isn't full on direct threat just yet
As things get crazier and nuttier with more and more threats, be they extra-dimensional or the Empire itself, Jimminy realizes mechsuits won't be enough.
Rounding up a group of the smartest, most tech oriented characters in Avalon, he presents them with his new idea:
A group of awakened constructs, who have a trio of forms; humanoid, support and battle. When a serious crisis arises, and they can't handle it on their own, they are able to merge their forms into a single, more badass creature.
Yes, people, I have come up with a way to make Combiner Transformers!!
Anybody want in on this insanity? Provided it gets approved? LOL

No. Nuh-uh. No Transformers. Not gonna happen. No Transformers, might consider Voltron, would consider Mechagodzilla if it weren't so dang inefficient compared to normal gundam designs, and would consider any alternate mecha designs inspired by Pacific Rim, no Power Rangers style mechs because they make Mechagodzilla look efficient, but most importantly no Transformers.
Look, I love Transformers as much as the next kid who grew up watching the cartoons after school, but it is its own special corner of the giant robot genre, and I don't think it works in this context. I might consider it far into the future in a very different context and most definitely one more in keeping with the source material. But this not only has disaster written all over it, it goes directly against the moral beliefs of the characters you want to use to introduce the idea. Aananda has stated repeatedly that she does not think that it's right to play God when it comes to creating sentient mechanical life. It's why the SIM rooms computer stops short of actual self awareness. In Mass Effect terms, it's a VI rather than an AI. It's an outlook that James shares. Which is why he built gundams instead of giant robots in the first place.Edit: which is not to say that either of them is anti artificial life forms, but the thing is, once they're sentient they're people with all the rights and freedoms that implies. But their creator is still responsible for them and often can force them to act against their will, and neither of them wants to deal with that temptation. Or the personal guilt if they didn't exercise those controls and a creation of theirs went bad and hurt people. Basically it requires a lot of arrogance or a lot of ignorance or a combo of the two in their opinions to think that creating sentient mechanical life is a good idea. Obviously there are other viewpoints, but this one is pretty understandable for amethyst dragons with their beliefs in free will and such.

Lyn, the template that grants sentience, Lifespark Construct, does not grant any form of control.
The template aims to replicate constructs that have either gained free will and sentience or have gone berserk for one reason or another.
But, I understand your characters beliefs. Just kinda sucks, cuz I can't imagine any other game ever that would allow such characters, save Avalon.

I could see in the future, like after the gem dragon worlds allied and truly broke free from the Empire for good, Transformer type creatures seeking refuge in this new league/republic/whatever the hey we actually call it, and that could become an interesting aspect of the story. But that's really too far into the future to plan for and I don't think it works to bring them in now or as anyone's creation. Really I feel like it's just moar power kinda thing and really takes away from the whole heroic journey theme we have going on,

Lord Foul II wrote:Didn't the Labyrinth also span the entire world, and they had the gods in the empire state building? The version I was taught in high school went that way
So did the version told in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians chronicles.
Edit: was he the guy who made the Bowie knife?
While I like to bash Percy Jackson as much as the next YA books fan, this is called "adaptation". I remember Percy Jackson actually being pretty good about accuracy (aside from Hades maybe being a bit unnecessarily rude). Sure, the gods are in the Empire State Building, but that's because the central conceit is that the gods are beyond a single nation and follow where the "modern spirit" rests. Which is also why things like the labyrinth and Medusa are capable of modernizing and making pop culture references and having burritos thrown at them and stuff. It's not changing the original mythos, it's just showing how the myths have literally evolved, in-story, throughout the ages.
I still think Riordan tries too hard to be funny, but...hell, I just wrote a paragraph in his defense, I guess he doesn't annoy me that much.
How did I get here, again?

Trust me, everyone thinks I was bashing it, but it actually is quite a wonderful series. I just wanted to point out that taking all of the mythos directly as written. especially an adaptation.

So my day is going very differently than originally planned. I was going to spend all day shuttling around town getting errands done. But my car battery died so....well, I guess the good thing is that I get some time to update the game. :)
The bad thing of course is that my car no goes. :(

I've got one character hiding in the corner because he's scared of everyone (but hey, at least he's decided to tolerate Kim...that's improvement) and one who has been dragged off by bossypants new character.....so that leaves me with Chara. Please keep in mind that you asked for this. ;P

Debatable. I left it vague who was in the wrong one.

So plotwise, what's up with Taron and Kam? Neither of them have really had much screen time since I joined, at least in comparison to some other characters.
Also, are Kitty and Michael still at his place?, was kinda enjoying them :)
Michael's aware of Ace helping to investigate the murderer, right?
What's Tami up to?

When vis showed up, I directly referenced archea.

Tami is hanging around the infirmary. She works as a helper there sometimes, and since her best friend is in an isolab waiting to have her mind put back together, Tami wants to hang around.
Not quite sure where we left off with Michael and Kitty. I asked if he wanted to continue with the planned family visit to Kitty's hometown, but never got an answer. At least, not that I'm aware of. I do miss posts sometimes. It happens.
