Woo, looks like some awesome Dalesman posts over the weekend. I wish I was going to have time to reply before tomorrow afternoon. :(
But I need to get some sleep and then there's a Monday to be deat with. Ugh. 50/50 I get woke up at 5 to find out kidlet's school is cancelled due to cold. Unless the weather people are wrong, but it's supposed to be below -20F with windchill and that is apparently the cutoff where they are legally required to cancel school. :/

So, I've had an idea rolling around in my head, thanks to this whole time-hole plotline.

Hatchlings that need protecting? Unsure where they should be taken? Worried about powerful enemies breaching all defenses? Can't trust the wards?

Then again-- I suppose in their perception, there's always something above 'em in the 'food chain'.

When people can teleport almost literally anywhere and you know that there are 20+ of these people and that some have reasons to harm your kids, you'd be a bit paranoid too. :P

Your perceptions and awareness of what I've played are quite off.
I can assure you I've played many different leagues of powerful. Dieties are commonplace in my imaginative realms.
That wasn't the basis for my comment, it had to do more with why "Gods" Still fail, mythos or not.
They are their own undoing at times. Man versus Self, so to speak. Not Man versus Man in regards to the primary story types.

As long as Ephebe stays away from the rift, that's good. That's why it was good that she was away for the field trip. Outside of time is even farther away. So that's good. For you guys. Not so good for her. Being a Champion of Time just got a lot more sucky.

No, not really. I'm not that into the whole Dark Tapestry stuff. Please keep in mind that I'm not a big fan of Golarion to start. (I know, not the most popular opinion on these boards) but I don't have to be to enjoy Paizo's non setting specific stuff. So what I know of the Dark Tapestry is just the blurb that comes up when I google it. I find it....uninspiring and lacking in scope. So...yes, eldritch horrors.....just more alien and actually freaking hostile than that. Dark Tapestry stuff is like the domesticated strays leftover from the last great war. The real Others aren't about chaos or madness....they don't care about any of that. They literally feed on feality itself. They are the ultimate parasite.
