lol. That's always fun. We run into that a lot. We have the never ending cycle of the killer GM who puts us through the wringer so we build more powerful characters so he has to up the encounters so we build more powerful characters....the problem being that any character who can survive past level 10 is a monster of epic proportions. And this is how I learned to build high level encounters. :)

We're in the Expedition to the Demonwebs adventure, and the session before this week's I critted Lolth's avatar with a single attack and did 63 points of damage after damage reduction.
Before that we fought a grognych(spelling is wrong, it's in bestiary 3) that had the black half-dragon template on. It's regeneration is shut off by acid, which it was immune too.
I'm not worried.
Ah, the demonweb. Yeah, that was an interesting adventure. By which I mean that we were bored stiff. We really had the wrong characters when we went through that one. We knew it was bad when we talked it over later and decided the DMPC was the only playable character. Ours were optimized well and could handle the challenges but it was a one-shot coming off of a three year campaign from level 1 to 20, so we were having so much trouble letting go of the old characters so the new ones had a distinct lack of personality.

Yes, that's where Jim and Phaeze are at the moment. Aananda is getting some dinner and Jiminy is also in the cafeteria, so right now it's just Jim and Phaeze.

Yes, it is. But Phaeze has access to both. The high tech lab has less people using it generally since it's restricted access. Your choice where you want to be working. Sorry if I made a bad assumption.
Well, he is trying to make a psionic item, if he could do that in the high tech lab he would work in the less crowded one. :)
Yes he definitely can make that in the high tech lab. Especially since he was helping them with the project with the crystals before it's reasonable to suppose that they would have made a relatively quiet work corner for him. Also, while this lab isn't as stocked on magical ingredients, a lot of the tech is crystal based so the best selection of crystals would be in the high tech lab.

So, I have had a rather interesting thought. After reading the good Doctor's attempts at flattery, it occured to me, could what Vai said, when combined with the link the Sunwakes share, cause the just-one-mate restriction to slowly crumble away because Ephebe is free of it and it's spreading to the others?
Interesting thought. The just-one-mate restriction is something that was put in on a genetic level. I could definitely see that spreading to the others via the wishcraft. What I'm not sure of is if Ryleh would be included in that. Although she did use wishcraft to gain a hybrid form. Hmmm. Very interesting.

Yep, blood transfusion. Although that was Enre's blood because he has fast healing....there is a slight possibility that Ephebe's blood might work similarly, but she would just use healing magic instead so it's unlikely we'll ever find out.
