Jim is here, and ready to go. I'm not entirely sure where the warforged would fit in Avalon, though. There are a number of different ways they could fit, either as older technology that gets spontaneously reactivated, or something else entirely.

He's going to be a scout,mainly.He believes that he can communicate with his blades,and is awe-inspiring to watch in combat.
This is a really complicated build;I want him to be a skillmonkey,but also be decent at combat.Depending on what level he's at,he's going to be a scout/dervish/tempest,possibly ranger if I have to start at a lower level.

Most races came in from the Empire back when Agartha was made, and the Empire is vast and has a little bit of everything since it contains many, many star systems and worlds.
As knowledge of tech has degraded and parts have become less and less available it would be less and less common to see such an advanced construct as a warforged. But here and there are still pockets of advanced tech and the people capable of making it.
So basically I would say that at this point warforged are extremely rare.

Honestly so far all I have are those three. Shadowstrike, Swiftspark, Sandwalker...we do seem to like the letter S. :)
I would think there should be about four more, although outside of the Shadowstrike mostly you'd be talking about one or two surviving members for the most part. Feel free to assign names as you see fit.

Hey, Sphar, good to see you migrated threads. Now, considering you are a student character submission, I would like to suggest two ways to introduce you.
1. You're new and walked in when the Invasion started. That would put you in the auditorium now and keep you from having to try and track down or wait for Ryo, since he is there.
2. You are not new, and are in the auditorium either helping get injured students around, taking down names of students for the role call(a precaution to check and make sure the lists are right), or whatever else you can think of.
Unaffiliated as in they aren't hunting dragons infact there are only a couple of them left and it correspondes with the email I sent you earlier.

Is your gamer tag active? I had a situation a while back where I totally freaked out because I thought all my dragon age saves were gone and it turned out to be just that the gamer tag was off.
