The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"You think that's bad? I don't even know why the color purple makes me almost wet myself."

"Frogs...bloody frogs everywhere..." Even as a demon, I, Vok, was not amused by the pathetic whimpers this memory brought on in that which I interviewed.

"Meow."

Somewhere in the Abyss, several demons cringe.

So, is someone going to close the rift or am I going to have to do it? Because I know a way to close. I just need *seemingly random assortment of things*.

Its been closed already we are in the clean up phase. Fiends still running around but unless they summon (which is limited to once a day) they wont be getting anymore guys from the rift. Also no more greater fiends sense they could only come thru the rift.

I should of left my head on the floor while hitting the Balor.

The balor's whip snaps to critical effect. Enre's head is severed neatly from his body. It falls to the floor. His body still stands. Perhaps the shock of the decapitation has yet to register to the nervous system. The head rolls to a stop a few feet away. The eyes are still open. The balor grins at his handiwork. Enre's face grins back. One of them winks at the balor.

LOL

You have got to be kidding me. I did it again, oh wait I still have hope the confirm is not up yet. X(

Edit- ::Facepalm:: I am never playing a balor again.

Question - Why don't the attack roll windows [Show] open for your toon? are they different than spoiler windows? I see them for other toons. ???

And you only get to play a Devil in a Blue Dress from now on. :)

I dont know why they would not open for you. I type in {spoiler=Attack} rolls {/spoiler} and they open fine for me. I know some people report that problem with firefox and others that dont use internet explorer. Never had that problem myself.

Also I am only playing a balor against my guys from now on as only one of them can really die from being beheaded and he is not crazy enough to fight one close up. (He would be the one that ran away screaming for help.) XD

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Yeah, next time I'm running the baddie even if I am in the middle of mid-terms. These things don't happen for me. Dice hate me generally speaking. :)

Probably Firefox problem. Thanks. Thought the Paizo gremlins were messing with me.

Shadow Lodge

I think Alton's last post is the most straight-forward I've ever been with a plot... I think I might be slipping.

Male Fiend (Unknown) Fighter/Monk 16

Lets just say the balor is done. Now how to fix the headless Asch problem as I know he cant recover from that alone, even full vampires take badly to that. Case in point his father.

Oh I just got an idea. ^.^

I could give him some of Enre's blood.

Mrdarknlight wrote:

You're not Lynora, but GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

What I thought it would be a good idea.

Male Baelnorn (Elven Lich) Diviner/Summoner -

I would remind you that half vampires react differently to healing then normal creatures. Regeneration from your blood may act as a poison that slowly destroys his body as a result. I have some exp with these things. :P

As long as it is not positive energy based I thought it would be fine?

Shadow Lodge

It should be. Regeneration and Fast Healing aren't Positive Energy. It does give you an interesting way to poison him though...

"What do you mean we're killing him? It was a Heal!"

Mrdarknlight wrote:

Look at the regenerate spell. It does not effect nonliving creatures and it falls under healing which in my exp is positive based. Undead regenerate from their negitive energy if you cut that off they lose that ability, which you can for some undead if I remember right.

I am not using the spell. I have the ex ability so it is un-typed.

Mrdarknlight wrote:

Nah, it is a good idea. It's just that sometimes Lynora and I think so alike it's scary. Especially since I'm pretty sure our minor telepathic bond is stretching across several thousand miles... >.>

I was using it as a basis for how the ability works. Sense you do use that spell to create the item that confers the same ability and effects of the natural ability.

The old Filne had a ring of negitive regeneration. Any living person would be dosed with a negitive version of regeneration so they would waste away. Man were those NPCs mad when they found that out. XD

Shadow Lodge

The fact that a creature without regeneration needs a magic ring is the reason you think a blood transfer won't work? What if what you just did didn't work? Sure, you could read it as a negative energy effect, but you could also see it as moving positive energy around.

"You may want to back up as this will devour your life energy." To me that sounds like positive energy is going to be consumed not "moved around" otherwise drain or something to that effect would be the word to use.

Also I have yet to hear a reason why a blood transfer would grant regeneration. More so with the two beings involved considering what they both are.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Alright, so Asch has his head back on, but that doesn't necessarily revive him in and of itself. Healing doesn't fix dead. An infusion of Enre's blood might. And would likely be safer for Asch than a normal raise dead. And provide a swift solution to the problem getting the character back in the game and letting both of you be cool and helpful. Works for me.

Rapid cell regeneration. Scroll down to Healing.

Slightly longer explanation...Ephebe is a positive energy creature thanks to the changes made to her and so has fast healing because the positive energy that is a part of her repairs her body. An example of positive energy regeneration. Ryo does not have positive energy in his system, however his body is full of nanites that repair damage. Damage still gets repaired, but no positive energy involved. The way I understand it, Enre's rengeneration is more like Ryo's than Ephebe's...the cells are effectively self-repairing, and therefore adding an infusion of such cells would cause them to spread through Asch's system and repair damage.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

...and DB3 beat me to the explanation while I was typing it. Typical. :)

Maybe I'm not slipping as much as I thought! ;)

I'd rule that the regeneration is only temporary however.

Yep, might last for a few minutes but by then the blood becomes so diluted by Asch's normal blood that there's no more effect.

Female Kobold

I always assumed Enre had regeneration like that of a troll's...
Should've known that was too simple. :P

Male More Human than Human Rogue 10 / Fighter 6 / Shadowdancer 10 / Void Incarnate 4

Why don't we just say that Enre's blood can work in a manner akin to Claire's blood from the series Heroes?

In one episode, it was transfused into her father to essentially bring him back from the dead (he was killed by a bullet through the eye and into the brain cavity).

It did not give her father a permanent 'healing factor' afterward, though - it just worked to repair the damage from that one trauma.

Just my humble 2cp, of course.

It is. The troll part of his DNA was actually my idea. It's regeneration is the reason he's not got any of the negative side effects of giantism. We're just house-ruling that troll regen works this way too.

I did, but the link comes back with some kind of page timeout error for me.

It's a link to the Heroes Wiki page on Claire's powers and similar abilities.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Okay, so we're all in agreement here that Enre's blood works like Claire's and is only effective in the short term.

And yeah, that's kinda how I see troll regeneration working too. I mean, it's inherent to them and there's nothing really about trolls that suggests positive energy. So yeah, I guess you could technically use troll blood as medicine...as creepy as that sounds....

Sweet so Enre is the cheerleader? So where is flying man so him and his brother can save the world?

Are you sure you're not Sylar? I mean, it is essentially the same power as Peter's...

…I still get a 20% miss chance for being a Shadow Assassin…soooo…

Male Baelnorn (Elven Lich) Diviner/Summoner -

I would be more concerned about what else is in Enre's blood. Sense he is basically a monster book smoothy.

"Good news Asch we used Enre's blood to save you. Bad news is you now have a pink tail and a craving for cheese. But hey your alive.....for the most part."

Hm...

To be fair, I don't open up people's skulls to get their abilities. Though it's still telepathic..

Male Dhampir Champion of Darkness, Order of the Gunslinger initiate

Even though technically by my rolls you missed me…

Shadow Lodge

We're talking about a blood transfusion, not gene splicing.
