Dmitri: I'm aware of your characters issues and will make mention of if any enemy is a woman unless you happen to be in a situation where it is difficult or impossible to tell.
Everyone: I don't require initiative in the surprise round, and I generally roll initiative myself. It's absolutely fine to make a post out of initiative. If you need to change your action because others have invalidated it, that's ok too. If you don't get to, I'll NPC you into whatever action seems to fit most closely with what you were trying to do, or simply whatever seems appropriate if there's nothing else to work.

Jokes on you, good sir. I have no life.
As for the homebrew, it's not that heavy with it. Just a few things here and there.
I'm enjoying this far too much to just switch over, and it's the summer. I've got plenty of time for all of this :D

Daen Aheritor |

Joke is on me then. Being away from school makes me less available in the summer. I'm just glad my wife is with the girls at a party, so I get some time to myself.
Well I hope you enjoy your summer while you still get them!

Dmitri Mavis |

I have a feeling after this combat, everyone's going to be glad to have Dmitri, as well as terrified of the fact that he doesn't care an inch about his life-expectancy in situations like this until it's too late.

Daen Aheritor |

Out of curiosity, Dmitri, how did you get a +2 weapon? Can I have one? Anyway, it was a good roll. I hope we will be able to finish this off before we discover Dmitri's point of caring about his life has to reach that point. Although it would be interesting to find out where that actually is...
I have to wait until after the bandits to act. Usually a 19 does the trick, but oh well. Bad guys get good rolls too.

Dmitri Mavis |

In the first round of the first scripted combat, the first thing I take damage from, is my own teammate.
Three cheers for being a blood-rushed masochist!
By the way, were you aiming for the center, because I think that was Happs.

Dmitri Mavis |

Ryuko's got a history of being a pretty damn good DM, so I assume something big came up. He might have been down there with the tornadoes, for all we know.
That being said, I have faith in him. Keep your eyes peeled for this, I'm sure he'll be back within a week or 2.
I'm plenty preoccupied running my own AP, and 2 carrion hills, as well as playing in a game of legacy of fire, midnight mirror (module).
I'm sure it'l be fine :D

Fyrek Orlovsky |

I hope he is too.
From his earlier post I got the feeling he was in hospitality, which means the holiday weekend could be brutal for him.
I don't know that I have the patience of a *mountain*, but I'm not going anywhere.

Daen Aheritor |

He had to take a break at another time as well. It may be difficult to say when he will return, but I'm still willing to make a go of it. I do love some of the interplay we have here.
One thing we do in our home games to keep us going between sessions is to do some conversations between players. We could do something like that. We've traveled for about a week together and glossed over some probable getting to know you type moments. If someone wants to just do some pure role-play to keep fresh on your characters, we could do a flashback in the main thread and restart the combat when our GM comes back.

Dmitri Mavis |

Another option would be to start a PbP (Me as DM) and you 4 play while we wait on him to return. You all seem like wonderously good players to watch this as much as I do in hopes he returns.

I would definitely be interested in doing that. Any idea what you might like to run?

Dmitri Mavis |

Well, I recently started a "Dirge for Everything" campaign, an AP that I made myself, and have finished all the way up to book 2, and while it isn't entirely finished beyond that, it's still receiving wonderful comments from the players that are in the middle of it.
It's an AP that starts off at level 2, with an "Anything goes" type of setup, but I would need to go into more detail.
Would the rest of you fancy that idea? It's not based in Golarion, but that's minor.

Sounds solid to me. I'm definitely curious to hear more about it.
Let's see if Fyrek and and Daen are into the idea!
Daen Aheritor |

Well, I took a look at your recruitment thread and it seems like you put a lot of work into it. It probably wouldn't be much trouble for you to throw another group into the mix. The only trouble I have is that I really do enjoy the Golarion setting, but I think I can get over that. I do have some decent concepts I could run with.
I guess I would be on board too. I do enjoy playing with you guys.

Fyrek Orlovsky |

Sorry -- I was on vacation and then beyond slammed at work.
I'm not sure I have the mental energy to come up with a new character concept in an unfamiliar setting. But I'm really enjoying this group, so I'd like to take a look at what you're doing -- if something sparks then I'll be in.

So I figured I'd inform everyone about this, I finally finished setting up the explanation of the area. Well, almost, but I figured I'd tell everyone here that I'm just a few hours from being ready to explain the campaign setting in detail and everything else.
That said, here's a few things of importance.
-There are only a few places in the campaign setting to explore, as most of the areas have been completely swamped in a death fog, but they're all fortunately large and rather intricate.
-You're back story has to involve you dying in some way.
-I've got downright smashing reviews about it so far.
-Any alignment is allowed, of course. Even Chaotic Evil.
-The only class not allowed is Summoner.

Looks as if this game is like to be automatically flagged as inactive in a week or two. If it ends up that it comes back to life, or if any of you end up in other games where you need someone to fill in and think I'd be a good fit, absolutely feel free to send me a private message. Have fun out there.
All the best.
