Fear - Mirrors. My dad smashed one once. I was cleaning it up and saw myself reflected in hundreds of shards. I felt dizzy, and wasn't sure which one of them was real. Since then, I try to avoid them.
Motivation - Longing for Adventure
Description - If he weren't so outdoorsy, Blake would be seen as a huge nerd. He's smart and spends a lot of time reading, though most of what he reads is adventure books, and he's quick to get on his bike and go exploring.

Who first got you into Scouting (or more generally, the great outdoors)?
My dad, before my parents split up. He was an Eagle Scout and went on to fight in Vietnam. We built a treehouse together and used to explore and hunt and camp.
What do you have to give up to spend as much time in nature as you do?
I'm not really close to either of my parents now. When my parents split up, Dad moved into the city to find work, so visiting him isn't the same as spending time with him when I was young. Mom works a lot, but still wants to spend time with me when she's not, but I'm usually out exploring.
