Casting Zadok would be a bit tricky for me. I'm not really the guy to ask for voice actors (or regular actors for that matter).

Era Naucht is mostly complete, I believe. :)

Era Naucht is a Pact Wizard (the kind with a Patron from the Haunted Heroes book, not the kind with a super-familiar. :)). I really liked the combination of powersets that the new archetype grabs, combining the witch's patron, the oracle's curse, and the wizard's... most everything else. The class has a really 'power at a price' vibe to it that I hope Era will manage to bring to the table.

The VMC is sort of a hangover from when I had intended to make her into an Arcane Trickster (which may still happen!). At the moment she can do rogue-y things pretty well (as the clandestine mage that she is!), and will get somewhat better at them with time. If there's another rogue in the party I can also back her off of that focus or have a bit of overlap. I'm pretty flexible!

Silver Crusade

For voice acting I would to have Gideon Emery for Saturday.

Though Travis Fimmel as Ragnar probably fits a bit better appearance wise.

Mmmm... I guess Messing with the Best would be Jacqueline's battle theme. Her personal theme is a bit harder to nail down, but it would probably have to be Amnesia, for the more melancholy theme of the song. Basically, the only thing in the lyrics that would change would be in the verse you forgot your name, from "your" to "her."

Dear GM. Since you said you were following the game that Zadok, Jacqueline and I were in you'll have a little familiarity with Fifteen. Would you be willing to take her as an entrant into your game? I know she's a bit of a marmite character for a horror campaign but I'd love to get her into a game again. There's a lot of background ideas about her which I discussed with the last GM and that I can send you if you'd like.

Equally I have been thinking about an Oread Monk - who would basically be a Frankenstein's Monster type creation. If you think that idea would be more fitting for your campaign let me know and I will adjust my submission!

If we're picking theme songs I'll go with the Stranger Things opening theme.

Silver Crusade

Ugh, I'm horrible at picking out a theme song, it'd be a whole friggin playlist.

Hmmmm. Never considered "theme music" for a character before.

Beatrix would need something angry and spooky. I think The Nocturnal House by Pretty Girls Make Graves would work well.

For Ysvigg Wardruna-Blood Eagles from Vikings could do the trick! Ulfen and horror at the same time, it fits the character and the AP. For the voice I was picturing Gwendolyn Christie from GoT (Brienne). For a battle theme however I would pick Lightning Flame Dragon Roaring from the anime Fairy Tail.

It took me a while to think of someone but I think Martin Freeman fits well. Mostly unfazed by scary things but still jumpy and cowardly. In those moments he uses intimidation though, the enemy sees something very different, almost demonic. When the phantom resides in my characters consciousness, it provides Skill Focus Intimidate. As fluff that is going to appear as a psychic projection to make him seem more terrifying. He uses his powers to make them see, like, burning eyes, no eyes, horns, fangs, whatever the opponent finds frightful or unnerving.

Also, manifestation will be to new to him. Whatever happens to their minds lowers his control and the nightmares gain some new powers. So each time it manifests, the phantom will look different based on what he feared as a child or the new horrors presented in the module.

This is Wilken, both character sheet and appearance/personality/what he remember are in this alias' profile. When possible, please tell me if that is enough for my submission to be considered.

Since we're talking about theme songs, i think At Dusk could fit for a Hunter in a horror setting. That or something from Supernatural, i guess.

Hmm... as far as songs for characters go, this one might work for Regina. XD Note that I plan to play her as being fairly comfortable with her powers at first, but increasingly worried about them as the game goes on.

I can't seem to find the rules for how much starting wealth – if any – we get. Help, please?

The GM said average, I think.

This is Meowzebub's Cleric of Nethys. Description of appearance, behavior, and traits is on the profile. As for an actor, it would definitely be Brad Dourif with a shaggy beard. Song would be Brain Damage by Pink Floyd.

Having a hard time choosing a final feat (would like to take Iron Will, but it makes more sense to me if he doesn't until after toughening up) and a final language (I don't have a good justification for Aklo), but character is otherwise ready to go.

Grey:
Grey
Human Alchemist (Gloom Chymist)

Key memories
• Cannot remember his surname, only that his name is "Grey".
• Has vague, hazy memories of a time when his eyesight in the darkness was no better than any other human's – he was not born with darkvision.
• At some point in the future, he will discover a(n un)holy symbol of Zon-Kuthon among his possessions. He is immediately sure of three things: first, that the holy symbol is his; second, that he should keep it hidden, even (especially?) from his companions; third, that the item is precious to him and has immense personal meaning.

Personality
Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. To Grey, this law is inviolable, a law of nature, the foundation of existence, transcending the laws of mankind – perhaps even surpassing the guidance of the gods. Power – and anything else of value – comes at a price. If he ever wavers in his belief in this, he fights down the mounting suspicion that, perhaps, the universe takes more than it is given, and that with each exchange, the world is diminished, growing a little poorer.

Grey is startled (perhaps even a little frightened) of what he is capable of – not as an alchemist, but as a person. In the heat of battle, in moments of great passion, or in times of great need, he is capable of deeds that haunt him once the moment has passed, finding himself gradually becoming someone he doesn't think he wants to become more familiar with.

Appearance
A slender young man, at first blush, little would seem to distinguish him from others fortunate enough to have been born to merchants, or perhaps into nobility. His brunette hair is cut short and kept neat, suggesting a fastidious nature that abhors untidiness. Far from imposing, he appears, perhaps, a little pale, possibly suggesting a scholarly bent. If anything could be said to be reason to give pause, it is his grey eyes, for which he was likely named, his gaze speaking to a fierce intellect. Few notice his long, slender fingers seem almost a little too long for his hands; those who do notice may find themselves reminded of spider-legs more than anything else.

Here's my character, Inspector Jeanne Marrechal

Jeanne Marrechal:

Jeanne Marrechal
Human Investigator(Lamplighter)
Key Memories

1. A final blade falling in his homeland of Galt, and wanting to know why?
2. The headquarters of the sleepless agency in Thrushmoor.
3. Poring over dusty tomes, and stumbling upon a terrifying secret, half-remembered now, but just as frightnening.

Personality
Since losing his memories, Jeanne has wanted one thing, the truth. He believes he has always wanted this, as Galt is a place where the truth comes drenched in blood. He is not the most emotional of people, even suppressing all emotion in times of trouble. This has made him an excellent investigator, putting value only in facts and logic.

Appearance
Jeanne is a tall, thin Galtan man, with a rapier on one hip and a crossbow on another. He is often seen wearing a long black coat and a round wide-brimmed hat. He perhaps not the most intimidating of people, but he more than makes up for that with his piercing green eyes. Standing out like emeralds from his pale skin and dark hair, they speak to a canny intelligence and incredible perceptiveness.

Celebrity Doppelganger
A paler version of young Leonardo DiCaprio, albeit with green eyes.

Theme Song
The Pink Panther Theme, along with Blue and Green by Miles Davis.

@Belltrap: For your second feat, Splash Weapon Mastery is insanely useful right from the get-go. As for justification of knowing Aklo as a language, I don't think it's a stretch at all for any Int-based class with research as an inherent theme of the class flavor to have simply "picked it up".

Silver Crusade

The Player's guide does call out needing a good justification if you want Aklo from the start.

Player's Guide wrote:
To communicate with some of the stranger enemies in this campaign, learning Aklo might help, but the language of aberrations and dark fey is an unusual skill for beginning characters and requires a solid justification.

I don't think simply being an INT based class would cut it just on its own.

Shadow Lodge

Is there still time for a new submission?

The whole feel of this game reminds me of an idea I had a while back. Basically an Android Barbarian (or Skald) who thinks he's human, but is starting to become unsure of his own identity as the story begins. I think he might awake from a pleasant dream of golden fields turned nightmare filled with white lights and steel tables.

There was a feat that allowed the Android to make use of Morale bonuses which is what gave me the idea, and because Androids are immune to fatigue. However it looks like they made an alternate racial trait that does basically the same thing.

So I also want to ask how you feel about rage-cycling? Is it too much to deal with? If not I think I can either change classes or just not use cycle-able rage powers.

Ah! So it does. I had just assumed "ancient language you came across while researching various things", looks like I missed that tidbit in the Player's Guide.

Im floored with how many great submissions you guys are putting offerinng. Lots of attention to detail and care put into the fluff and the mechanics all seem solid so far.
Switched up the way I organize them to give everybody a better idea of what's been submitted. Also, while I certainly did not intend for everyone to pick a theme, I am very happy with everyone's choices. It shows a pretty strong understanding of either the theme of the game or your character .

@Kubular
There is plenty of time for another submission! It depends on how rage cycle honestly. Its probably safer for me to say no.

Fifteen
I'm definitely open to her application. Send me a PM to discuss more!

@Zadok
No worries! Its all for fun. Not required at all.

@Ysvigg
Brienne has a very distinct voice. Gwendolyn Christie needs to be in more things.

@Willen
Excellent choice. Need more Transistor in my life.

Saturday
I can absolutely see it. Fimmel is a terrifying man.

I feel like I should note that while Ethermagic is technically a form of casting, its users are basically evocation specialists. XD More Kineticist than Wizard.

(My intended role in the party is ranged/elemental damage with a bit of debuffing and battlefield control.)

Unfortunately, I don't have a wide enough understanding of actors/voice actors or theme songs that would work as a theme for Annabel.

Shadow Lodge

Coolio, thought so, I just wanted to make sure you didn't have too many submissions already.

I should have mentioned what I planned to do with it before haha. The most powerful things I think you can do with rage-cycling are probably Furious Finish and Spell Sunder

They both require at least 6th level and like other once per rage abilities they only apply to one attack in a round.

That said, I think I might maybe actually be doing something else like Infiltrator (Ranger) or Ninja.

Also just to clarify because I just found out: on the Android page there is an alternate racial feature called "Anomaly" that I wanted to use, but it is 3rd party and obviates an expensive feat called Empathy. I'm sort of unsure if I even want to play Android still, because I'm not sure how well it fits into the flavor of the AP but could I use the Anomaly feature instead of having to get Empathy?

Would you consider running two tables, to make room for all of these fantastic submissions?

Also, I added Silken Ceremonial Armor, reskinned as Jacqueline's extremely snazzy clothes, to her, since they don't incur any penalties.

A song for Donnen could be "Going Under", by Evanescence. I love the Falling Forever part, and the current turn of events drive his paladin mind and morals apart! :)

Well, Haroldin is done done, final answer, except for equipment. Was it ever specifically addressed whether the characters in this game would start with a normal equipment loadout?

It looks like I forgot to change my original draft of Jeanne's bio. I changed him from a lamplighter to an empiricist, as it fit with his background a bit better, but I forgot to change it in the background when I posted it. Yeah, I saw that, I guess I was just trying to verify there are no restrictions due to the whole waking up with no memory in an asylum deal.

Here is the most fitting theme I can think up for Era at the moment.

Also, at some point, Pathfinder Zoey should be popping in with her character submission. I'd like to apply with her if you don't mind. :)

Sczarni

Personally even though the character is a Kitsune and not a werewolf...I'd still lean Kris Holden-Ried for who would voice act for my character...hell the look would be lovely too, very pretty man.

Fifteen is based in part on this video so consider this her theme tune and trailer all in one. :)

I'm considering switching to Kukri's to match the min-scythes from the video better...

I'd forgotten about that trailer. Pretty cool that you based your character off that.

I like the idea of a different flavour of horror. We all love Cthulhu and all the associated gribbly horror, but there's so much 'uncanny valley' potential, especially if Fifteen isn't entirely aware of what she is and just accepts scythes coming out of her arms as completely normal while everyone else goes "OMG!" That way you can have a nice man vs. machine vs. sanity-shattering cosmic horror dynamic!

Silver Crusade

Sorry for not posting, well, anything. I'm really, really interested in getting in to this, just trying to distill some figments of memories or something. Sorry, just kinda at a loss at the moment.

I decided to avoid talking about my character's past at all. XD It should be fun to see how she ultimately ends up...

Silver Crusade

Oh, hmm.

What all is required then, just motivations and personality?

Fifteen wrote:

I don't think there will be as much as of that as you might expect. None of us have an memories either. So we wouldn't know if that was wired. Would we? Hard to conceptualize.

Also, Ioun Wyrd. Holy S&!@ that thing is amazing. +1 AC, flight and Blind Sight? And it fits an android too. Like a floating AI unit but the rest of us can see it. I think it should be a sage rather than a protector though. Something like Cortana telling you what you need to know. Just my two cents.

If said floating AI unit wasn't also affected by the general memory loss then I'd agree with you entirely! As is I can't imagine how my memory unit would have kept everything but Fifteen herself have lost it? I suspect it would be too simple as Fifteen could just 'back-up' her memories and solve the problem.

Maybe in fact it used to be a sage, but now due to the memory wiping, it sees its role to protect Fifteen but can't remember how... so it flashes bright lights in people's eyes at inconvenient moments rather than doing what it used to do, giving good advice.

How do we keep everything? We can still make knowledge checks after the operation or whatever happened. We just don't know what we know. I think that is how it works anyway.

Your way works too.

Tough question... I guess with amnesia related stuff it works as the GM decides. I can always change to a sage if the GM picks me and agrees with you about it :)

Mashiki Malbourne. Human aberrant sorceress.
Would there be any complications if the flavour of mind-swapped was altered to be fragments of ancient lore from aberrant heritage?

Example opening:

She woke up in darkness amidst confusion and a strange feeling of loss. Her first sensation was of being restrained, it felt like she was bound in something soft and yielding, yet tough. She struggled against her restraints and suddenly sensed something else in her mind. She knew that the other was in distress and the feeling overwhelmed her triggering a wave of nausea.

The other was likewise confused. She didn’t know how she knew this.

As her sight slowly came back it was all wrong, she had no control over where she was looking. It was as if she was looking through someone else’s eyes. The sight dropped to her hands but though she could feel them it was like another force controlled them. She struggled again to to gain control. Her hands clutched her head as a wave of nausea once again overcame the other, and again she felt that distress as if it was her own.

The other knew she was there. “Who are you?” it asked. The question wasn’t verbal, she simply knew what the other was thinking. The question, however, posed a conundrum. She cast back in her memories. She remembered fragments and hazy recollections of quiet, peaceful places. Lonely places, but she couldn’t bring them into focus. She did realize however that these memories weren’t her own. They were memories from someone else, maybe even multiple other people. As for her own memories she couldn’t conjure up even a vague recollection.

“I….” she trailed off immediately. There was something wrong with the way that sounded, even in her mind. It felt incorrect, but she didn’t know why. The other likewise realized that it sounded wrong. “I… don’t know”.

The other was also lost, unable to remember anything of their past. Despite her confusion, she remained emotionless, however the other was experiencing a rising panic. “Where are we” the other thought as they started to look around, but immediately stopped. They both realized at the same moment that that sounded right, it felt right.

“Who are we?” With that though she began to feel her mind mingle with the other. She felt the chaotic mess of emotions seep into her awareness and all the good and bad that came with them. At the same time the other’s mind was opened up to the vastness of void, and all the beauty and terror that came with it. They both knew that they had done this before, and they both knew that she wasn’t always able to adjust to the idea of emotions while the other’s mind would sometimes rebel against knowledge it wasn’t able to comprehend, but together they endured, had endured since they were born together.

She felt her thoughts merging with the other. A smile crept across their face and they whispered out loud “We are Mashiki”. There was no longer strictly her and the other. Mashiki touched her lip where it ached. She was bleeding, the drop of black blood seeming to quiver of its own accord for the briefest of moments before lying still. She couldn’t live outside of Her and She couldn’t live without Her inside, and that made perfect sense.

Mashiki looked at her forearm for a few moments, watching the faint grey veins ever so slowly writhe beneath her skin. She smiled again, it felt good to be together again, but now to the matter at hand. Where were they?

Personality traits:

Mashiki seeks recognition, trying to be helpful to gain the approval of those around her. She tends to be excitable.
Optimistic and conscientious she tries to do the right thing.
Spontaneous and intrepid she often acts on impulse or does things that may only make sense to her.
Agreeable and engaging she is always trying to make friends and loves learning about other people, though her condition usually drives people to avoid her.
Convential, she tries to fit in.

Background for my submission, hopefully I'll get crunch up later tonight. Tiefling Inquisitor of Dispater. Oh, the amnesia is going to be fun...

Manius Gallonica Background:
Manius of the noble house of Gallonica was born into a distinguished bloodline. His father a duke and member of Abrogail I's court and his mother Abrogail's first cousin. While his fiendish heritage was readily apparent, his noble blood insulated him from the prejudice that tieflings often had to deal with. Early in his life he felt the calling to serve his patron god, Dispater, and was inducted into the clergy as soon as his age would permit. Learning the ways of rulership and courtly love among the disciples of the Iron Duke the young noble was marked as particularly skilled and devout among his peers. At the conclusion of his training The Lord of the Second demonstrated his favor upon Manius, answering his prayers and granting him the use of divine magics. The early death of Manius's father and his elder brother forced him to leave the clergy prior to taking his final vows, though Dispater's favor was undiminished. Taking up the mantle of duke, Manius took his father's place in the royal court and soon found himself embroiled in the dangerous games of Cheliax's upper class. His abilities as an inquisitor served him well in these trying times and that he has survived to this day is a mark of his cunningand ruthlessness.

In more recent years Manius has spent time away from the homeland and court, acting as a diplomat and missionary of behalf of Abrogail II. While officially this was a request of his and granted as a reward for his loyal service on the homefront, unofficially rumors abound. A openly loyal servant of Abrogail, the whispers are that he was somehow involved in the death of King Infrexus and her path to ascension and his external duties are a way for him to tie up loose ends. Other factors that cast shadows about the fiend-blooded duke are his rapport with General Gorthoklek and his decidedly odd treatment of slaves. Gorthoklek and Manius seem to have a friendship built on mutual appreciation, though they would likely gut each other if it proved necessary neither of them would like it. Manius's treatment of slaves, and his serfs for that matter, is strange to many of the nobles of the court but he explains it as simply following the dictates of his patron. His slaves expect much more gentle handling from Manius than other masters, logical in his mind as they are not merely property but investments. Rather than beatings for an infraction they might face reduced rations or a few days without food, hard labor at worst for most problems. This lenience has engendered a loyalty among the slips of House Gallonica rare among the halflings and a similarly unusual level of trust from their master. Indeed, Manius's majordomo is a slave by the name of Efrick who handles many of the house's finances.

Manius's personality is difficult for many to get a handle on. He is as imperious as any other noble of his rank but relates easily to those of lesser birth, perhaps due to his time among the faithful in which all acolytes were equal regardless of bloodline. He believes in strength of the whole and pushes for teamwork among his colleagues in order to accomplish his goals. Manius tends to keep a small circle of trusted associates and leaves others at arms reach. The duke is a romantic, much as his god, and pursues courtly love, most recently taking up the pursuit of the Queen herself. This (probably poor) course of action was initiated by Gorthoklek while the two attending a ball. The pit fiend made the challenge sound like a jest but his actual motives for such a suggestion are inscrutable. Regardless of why it started, Manius began writing poetry to his sovereign with relish. That he has long been her supporter and a loyal Chellish patriot has probably kept him alive to this point, that or she actually appreciates it.

Physically, he's attractive, tiefling or no. Dark hair worn shoulder length frames a patrician face, with high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and full lips. He is well built, lean but clearly muscular, and wears dark shades of red, the better to draw out his crimson eyes. He appears much younger than he is, a benefit of his infernal heritage, though the way he carries himself and the deep timber of his voice ensure that no one would think him some callow youth. His ears are slightly pointed and his fingernails are naturally black and overly sharp, in case his eyes were not enough to clue someone into his tainted blood.

Would cast Jason Isaacs circa "The Patriot" to play him.

JUST came across this. Putting in a dot! Will get something together as soon as possible!

Okay, DM, I have Heinrich von Stahl ready to go! If there are any questions or anything looks incorrect (or you'd like more detail about anything in specific), I'm happy to provide! I opted for a less super in-depth, more broad 10 minute background with (I feel) plenty of potential hooks to expound on. I'm hoping that it fits the amnesiac, find out in play theme of Strange Aeons. Fingers crossed, I'm in with a lot of great applicants!
