Looking forward to whatever gaming books and Wii U games are under the tree.
I am particularly interested in one gift from my wife that I know about already - its the complete chronicle of Conan by Robert E Howard. I've never read any Conan but I've heard great things about Robert E Howard. I'm looking forward to it!
...haven't read any Conan stuff - in fact, the only 'fantasy' books I can recall really enjoying are the Game of Thrones series - I'm more of a sci-fi / horror type reader... But, for gaming, it tends to be the other way...
...anyway, hope you all get what you kinda want... And, more importantly, spend some time andnhave some laughs with loved ones...
Happy New Year my brave adventurers... May 2016 bring you happiness and prosperity... And many more levels of excitement, wonder and danger in the depths of the spire!!!

Happy tidings... The corpulent beast that is the Blight was born upon this day, the 12th of January... All that awaits to be seen now is how far into our world this diseased beast may come...
Or... Richard Pett's Kickstarter for 'The Blight' funded today - there are five more days for the campaign to reach various stretch goals. Mr Pett is the warped mind behind many Pathfinder products... This may yet be his most insidious...

Grayface is leveling up in barbarian for level 6. I have his stats in my Herolab but that's at home, so I'll have to update him later.
GM - we had discussed previously that you were okay with us retraining/swapping feats this level. I don't want to make any assumptions, but as we are down in the depths there are no "trainers" available. Is it okay to handwave that notion and just customize/rebuild the character for this new level?
Yeah, you folks can use Background Skills... I'm sure that, deep down, Grayface just wants to paint watercolours!!!
Don't worry about trainers and suchlike in terms of needing a narrative / mechanism for retraining... Your experiences are training enough - with regards to swapping out feats - one is fine, two would have to be by prior agreement (but I'm sure it would be fine)...

Will level up when I get on my laptop, but I'm not multicasting so it won't be complicated.
Murassa lays there, unconscious, his blood congealing beneath him.
LOL'd so hard at this post. I think my mind inserted the word "just" so that it read "Murassa just lays there, unconscious..." sort of a pretentious jab type of a comment. I know it wasn't meant that way but it was very funny to me.

Since background skills are now in effect, I'm gonna rework my a bit to fit them in. Other than that, here's my level up stuff!

I've said it before, but I'll mention it again - you should consider converting your rogue into an Unchained Rogue. You would be able to get dex to damage for a weapon of your choice for free, giving you the option for another Rogue Talent / Feat instead of Fencing Grace.
My friend plays a cannibal halfling unchained rogue in my home Dark Sun game, she kicks butt. That free dex to damage (with a chosen weapon) is a really nice boon, especially when you can't pull of a sneak attack.
Rrue, but it is a better alternative than lopping his head off I think....perhaps I am getting soft in my old age
This made me smile... The 'message' that Sartoss was planning on sending to the Serpentfolk on the lower levels (that he wanted you to deliver) was Draa's head!!! I had planned on having him executed in front of you...
I'm just waiting on you folks deciding what you are up to next.
I think it's back to the fort with our prisoner to rest. Combat if that's necessary to subdue the fella, but hopefully he's more cooperative than that. Sell our loot and a map to Royst.
*Edit* - @GM Zed, can Rallos turn his rogue into an unchained rogue?
So, just to clarify – you are planning on unlocking Draa (subduing as needed) and then using the green crystals to teleport back towards the surface – note that Royst has only taught Yasmin the words for Four and for Six!!! So you’ll only be able to teleport to the troglodyte’s level (I think it is time to copy down all of the runes that are etched into the Spire at each level – and then get Royst to teach you the pronunciation!!!!)… But before that, exploring the door that headed west from where you fought the Ogrekin?
And, finally, if Rallos wants to rebuild as an Unchained Rogue I have no problem with that!!!!
GM, yes that is essentially correct. And yes I was thinking that exact thing about our lack of certain runes.
If you could clarify your comment please - you stated we only know the pronunciation for runes 4 and 6, but you then stated we would only be able to the Trog level (Level 4).
Could we not just enunciate the word for level 6 and bypass it, going straight to Klarkosh's level on our way back down?
Side note - I didn't remember that there were runes inscribed on each level until you just mentioned it. I only remember finding the runes on pieces of paper/parchment in previous levels, which we brought to Royst to aid in his research of our green cylinders. (quite some time ago). Maybe those runes were for something else?
-----
I believe we want to do the following:
1) explore door west of ogrekin in order to finish Royst's level 7 map.
2) release Draa, subduing as necessary
3) use green crystals to teleport to the surface (Okay, I think I just now understood what you meant about the Trog level. You were likely referring to teleporting UP, not back down. Is that right?)
4) head back to the Fort to unload Draa as a prisoner, liquefy assets, buy a potion or two, rest up.
Tentative #5 would be to trek back through each level and do a chalk rubbing of each rune inscribed in the emerald spire, if prudent.

I think I'm gonna invest in a Handy Haversack. I have enough funds for it even before we divy up loot.
Those bows are quite valuable then. Their book cost would be 750 gp each. I'm tempted to keep one due to the high strength bonus but I seldom use bows and it would feel like a waste of wealth.
RE: my last in-character post:
Gray asked for 1000 gold for "the lot", but the actual trade-in/levied value is 877 gold + whatever we can get for the unfinished falchions and other miscellany.
The two bows valued at 1,500 gold come to a trade-in value of 525 gold.
I'm going to edit Grayface's post right now to request 1,500 gold for the lot.
Players,
I haven't really heard anyone chime in at all about what we're selling, what they might want, and how much we can get for it. Please don't let me run roughshod over you if you want to keep a certain item. I ran the calculations for expediency's sake and because I hadn't heard anything from anyone.

I'm cool with your loot breakdown. Works for me. In regards to the second potion, I still have one...so if anyone else wants it, I'm ok with that, or if you want to hang on to both, that's cool too...you take a beating sometimes...

I say you can keep both. As for the other loot, I did claim one of the mwk scimitars to use in case I'm unable to create my urumi.
