    Just to let everyone know: I am planning a trip to my sister's next weekend, and they don't have internet. I will be leaving after work on Friday and won't be back till some time Sunday. Might go to a friend's who does have internet, but I don't know how often, if any, I'll be able to post.


    Just posted this in the Emerald Spire game but still relevant here...

    We need to sort out what items you are currently carrying that are simple +1 (or whatever) weapons, etc - under the automatic bonus progression scheme, those sort of items no longer exist...

    No cloaks of resistance, no amulets of natural armour, etc. They simply don't exist in the world anymore...

    ...the Belt of Constitution is now ruined...sorry Ea!!!

    ...the Rapier and the Chain Shirt can both gain +1 equivalent abilities - happy to take requests on those (as we are retconning them)

    Nope, ain't got anything like that. My +1 bonus to my weapon and armor are from the auto progression, and my weapon abilities are from my class.


    ...yeah, it's just the existing weapons / armours in game that haven't been retconned after we moved onto the Automatic Bonus Progression rules...

    So how does this work with the rapier and chain shirt now?


    The Chain Shirt has no 'plus number' bonus (as you get that from the Automatic Bonus Progression) so instead, you can choose a special ability (with a cost of '+1 bonus') from the Magic Armour Special Abilities table in the attached link: Here.

    The table starts at 'Balanced' and ends with 'Warding'.

    Equally, the Rapier also has no 'plus number' bonus any more so instead, you can choose a special ability (with a cost of '+1 bonus') form the Magic Weapons Special Abilities table in the attached link: Here.

    The table starts at 'Allying' and ends in 'Vicious'.

    Ea - Let's compromise, the Belt is still effective until you get to Level 7 - at which point, under the Automatic Bonus Progression, you are able to select a permanent +2 bonus to a Physical Attribute (STR, DEX or CON) and the belt will lose it's magic...

    Murassa Sonvar – It would certainly appear that now is the time to introduce your character to the party – I’ll pop up a post momentarily that brings the group into the Julliver Arms… Seems like an ideal opportunity to make introductions, etc. Your character will certainly, having spent anytime within the tavern, know of the folks who have been delving within the Spire.

    Got my profile fixed. It was made when I was still new to the forums and I forgot to update it. Will have my first post up when I go to lunch.


    Folks - it is reasonably well-documented on these boards that the Spire is a little bit sparse when it comes to loot - further exaggerated by the hefty levy on treasure should you elect to sell anything within Fort Inevitable...

    So, what I would like you guys to do is to let me know what your current wealth is (gold plus actual items) so that I can normalise your wealth over the next level or so of the Spire...

    Murassa - obviously, as a new character built at the requisite 50% WBL, there is no need for you to do the calculation.

    Rallos – no problem with you folks taking the potion of invisibility / masterwork crossbow from Pertreeko

    Also… while we are on the topic of items you may have missed (a la the additional glass cylinder from Klarkosh)… there is the small matter of the Arc Pistol that Klarkosh was using – you may well find that goes some way (like a lot of the way!!!) towards getting your wealth closer to where it would be…. Although, from an RP perspective, you may want to be careful who you try to sell it to within the Fort.

    From an RP perspective, Grayface would probably never use the pistol unless in desperation, as it is just too foreign a concept for him to grasp. Magic and tech are both supernatural to him, and any combination is outlandish.

    My vote is to sell/trade it. I would love to get my blade enchanted with Keen or Flaming or something like that. That'd be badass!

    I vote for Rall and Yasmin to combine their charisma and sneakiness to find us a good buyer/trader to get our value out of it. (that is, unless you folks want to keep the pistol.)
