Just gonna refresh that question :-).

As Maester Lucen was leaving Weyland's question drags him back into the room "Yes, I have. It was an ingested poison in either drink or food. Hard to notice and has no real flavor so a strong tasting food or wine is the best delivery if I would poison you. Another way is inhaling it, which is a tad harder and only skilled assassin would be able to perform" Maester Lucen scratches his chin "Like if I were to hug you I would place a small amount on my shoulder for you to breath and poison and never breath while turning that way" satisfied with few examples of how it has been recorded how that poison is used "Greycap Ser Weyland, a uncommon poison, but not out of the hand of many knights, yet dangerous one and effective"

Practice Yard

Wynnter
Manrel is wielding his axe and practicing with a straw man dummy with a suit of mail and shield. He is sweating, but if that straw man were alive, each cut of Manrel's axe would leave deeper wounds than a normal axe would, and at some points those wounds would also leave bloodier gash than most.

Wynnter

Wynnter watched him for a few minutes. Seeing how he moved and how quick his strikes where, though she was most impressed with the damage to the straw dummy. Had it been a proper opponent Wynnter was sure they would be dead or dying soon.

"You know I was having second thoughts about asking for you as my protector. Though after watching you for a bit my doubts, about your skills that is, are vanishing." She said as she softly crossed her arms and made her way over to Manrel.

"This is what I am good at Wynnter, I have no sensible touch for courtly things, I rather demonstrate than talk about it like some gas bag filled with shit" continuing in a trained motion as the movement of his axe is what seems to cause the most damage not so much the axe itself. A student and practice companion of the late lord Domeric.

"What do you want? Looking on who you wanna take' with ya?" finally stopping and walking to a barrel with some water, taking a cup and bathing on it to refresh his body and then take a sip of water before sitting on a stool for the men to rest during practice. "What are you looking for and I will tell you what knights we have that fit the bill, of course Ser Tobin and Ser Marcus will need to approve of the choice and have final say"

Wynnter

"A man of action. I can respect that." Wynnter commented as she made her way over to where he was sitting. "Actually, I wanted to speak with you about what my Lord has suggested about the journey there. I want your opinion and it may alter who you'd suggest." She told him simply.

"Our Lord has giving me permission to dress as a man if I wish, for the long trip to House Grell. After all if I am mistaken as a man, should you and our other companion fail, I would be given a quick death as oppose to... other things." She explained. "However he has also offered up a carriage, though if we take that I doubt I'd dress as a man. You've seen my disguise, it doesn't really look the type to be using a carriage." She shrugged as she placed her hands upon her hips. "Along with that, I am a skilled archer. So I can promise I will not be dead weight for you and the other knight to carry. With this information, and the options before us, what are your thoughts and who do you suggest?" She asked, her hands moving from her hips to her stomach, fingers interlocking once there.

"I doubt we will have my danger, House Grell and House Naelareon keep patrols and guard their lands well, it's the tract of land in between which could be the problem, but we have never have any issue with bandits that 2 knights and 10 men-at-arms cannot handle, so the carriage could make it for you a better option while the rest of us ride as escorts."

Drinking some more water and offering some to Wynnter "I would be between Ser Liram Orell a good knight on horse and used to long travel as well as Ser Bradyn Rane a resourceful knight that can at least won't shame himself like I would in court so he could accompany you to more than just the trip."

Wynnter

Wynnter accepted the water offered as she listened to Manrel's words, slowly sipping upon the life giving liquid.

She gave a low chuckle as he spoke about how he would shame himself in court. "Maybe we should take Ser Bradyn. To balance out your weakness hmm?" She asked, smirking down to the knight as she offered the cup back. "Tell me about them. What are they like?" Her face turned back to a more serious one as she moved them back to the task at hand. "Which do you trust more?"

"I trust none" Ser Manrel smiles and stands again wielding hi axe now two handed adding more power behind the blows "You can only trust in your sword arm, and I'm a rather good one, so I can cleave my self out of almost anything, you need a champion that is why I come, but Ser Bradyn is more of an escort inside House Grell and during talks, but if things get difficult expect him to drink himself out"

Wynnter

"Oh dear... he has a drinking problem?" Wynnter asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Well we all have our demons, it is how we deal with them that matters." She sighed as she crossed her arms defensively. "Speaking of troubles... can I ask something of you?" Her voice was lower then before, almost as if she hoped he wouldn't hear her.

"Not a drinking problem like you think, but only if something puts him on the edge. Then maybe he will drink himself to sleep, a very common thing for that matter" hacking his hardest and chopping the dummy on two, he turns to face Wynnter "That depends on what you need" he winks, leaving all meaning of it to Wynnter's imagination.

Audience with Lord Naelaron

As the door closes Weyland sighs and speaks to Darne, "I am sorry to impose Darne, here in private quarters unless you bid me otherwise, I will remain on a first name basis with you.

I had a few observations from our last House meeting at the Tourney I wished to share with you when no other eyes of ears were near. If your own chambers are not a safe place to do so then we are in grave trouble indeed.

First, I notice the obvious contempt from Cassondria and her Husband, and that Lord Banefort seems more in favor of you than they. Likely because she and her have a great deal to gain were she to be heir instead of you whereas Lord Banefort has no such ambitions, at least not obvious ones anyway.

Moreover, House Paege seemed to agree with your desire for vengeance on behalf of your Father but the Deddings felt off... As if they did not resent the loss of Lord Domeric. Indeed Lady Gwyneth seems their choice to lead the House rather than you.

Further, when Lady Gwyneth embraced you, it seemed that her eyes were not those of a loving mother, but those of a harpy bent on something more. Perhaps your off-hand comment about something more behind your Father's murder was more than a passing comment. Indeed Vance Dedding was displeased with your rise and her slip back to Lady of the House and not head of the House and while he tried to hide it the sneer in his nose and eyes told me all I needed to know.

There is more I am sure but I feel I missed something I am sorry to say.

The Maester's comments to me show me that indeed the poison delivered to your father could have been delivered many ways, errant dust on the shoulder inhaled from a hug for instance...

Weyland takes a pause and awaits Darne's reaction.

I would think those who saw our Lord as an enemy and those who see me as an enemy are not necessarily the same people... "

Wynnter

"Ser Bradyn and I have things in common." She muttered to herself. Wynnter shakes her head slightly as his wink. "Nothing that would come even close to worthy of that." She told him. She shifted her stance slightly, a nervous nature about her. "I spoke before of demons... everyone has them, I understand this. You may have noticed the flask I took out in the meeting. While we're at House Grell, I need to... help ensure I don't drink more then a glass or two and only ever with food. I can normally keep it under control but if this goes poorly... well lets just say I'm a very poor drunk." She explained with a sigh. "I'm sure this isn't a thing you're often asked to do, but I would appreciate your help. Though I understand if you decline." She told him

Darne listened with abandon at first, pulled forwards with his elbows on his knees assuming that this was more of a talk of what had transpired between their various alliances but as the talks continued further from such talk and of wolves hiding in their own flock he took a different posture, leaning back in his chair with his hands upon his face as if wiping away the mud of this situation.

He sat in silence for a little while just staring up at the ceiling before his hand grasped his cup of wine and he sat up straight enough to take a long draw from it before slamming the cup down on the table empty. He sat forwards, his fingers coming to pinch his nose and rubbed at the spot "I knew that my Sister was none too pleased, she even went so far as to say that I was the one to poison my father..." he said before his hand slumped to the arm of the chair. He looked at Ser Weyland for a bit "I unfortunately...can't vouch for the actions and plots of the rest of my family, you may not know this but I did spend most of my life under Lord Veleris. I knew them only from their letters and the few visits I had with them before coming here to live." he said as his hand went to the cup again and his finger began to swirl the lip.

He looked up from his idly movements after a moment and let out a bit of a sigh "I will be careful then, I don't wish to believe you about my mother but I will be weary until we know more." he said before looking back down at the cup.

Meeting

"Understood, My Lord. I shall begin the preparations for the possible outcome of war. Ser Ereth might have some information regarding the area and possible advantages we might use in our information" and with that, moves towards his own chambers

Later during the day

Marcus stands in his own private chambers watching from the window to the outside deep in his thoughs. So much to do but so little time, like always. Possible war or wars on their way, now the Coldbrooks and their desire for possible alliance, poisoning and treachery, Faith Militant" a small snarl escapes on that thought from Marcus weddings, my own included and on that remark chuckling and shaking his own head upon the idea of him getting married well, things could be worse as Marcus kept standing there fathoming the things coming

Turning and sitting down on his chair, and grapping piece of paper along ink and quill as he began to scribe down the requirements to get huge amount of people gathered The storages will be suffering with this as well the preparations need some time before we can begin to move out. Food, Weapons, Ammunitations, Tents, Cooks, Smiths, Wagons, Horses... this will cause a drain in our wealth Marcus began to ponder as he was starting to be busy with calculations

Audience with Lord Naelaron

"I hope I am wrong but better to be prepared for what may happen then to simply wish it would not. I will leave you time to consider what to do next.

I will tend to my sons before we go and write a letter to my own prospective Lady before we head out".

DM, I will update what Weyland does later this evening.

Manrel only nods "Sure, I might use my charms on you to scare your drinking problems away, Ser Bradyn doesn't drink much around me, I detest blabbermouths and drunken louts"

Ser Marcus + Ereth somewhere inside the Keep

Ser Ereth spots Marcus and call out to him "Ser Marcus, regarding the men we will be counting on, can I make some suggestions or are we working with short supply of option?"

I will give you the list of available units from House Veleris and Daerros

Maester + Weyland

"It is not hard to get Ser Weyland, so it would be hard to point the culprit. Someone could have just it as "spices" on the food to poison people, or such other things, or simply as a hug like I stated, but it would have been a very popular man to hug that many people or a certain number of people with the poison hugging enough before the powder is no longer effective" sounding rather annoyed "Greycap is expensive for smallfolk and a hedge knight, but any sworn sword with 20 stags or 40 can get enough to poison a man or two. So the amount used at the party was rather large, but you had issues before then, so try to find who you shake hands with, ate, drank, hug, or kissed"

with Ser Ereth

Turning towards the voice and seeing Ser Ereth calling him, Marcus nods "Ser Ereth, please tell your suggestions. It would be interesting for me to hear them and see if we can make use of them. Regarding our options, I will need to see what I can arrange in a short notice but at least it will quite good sized unit"

Marcus + Ereth

Ser Ereth "It's mostly rolling hills and flat area with a lightly wooded area nearby, so horses and archers would do a good job there more than foot soldiers, that doesn't mean a good group of able bodied men wont do any good if we bring some"

Wynnter

Wynnter gave a soft laugh. "Your charms may bring me closer to the bottle Manrel, not further." She joked, well half truth honestly. He had been the reason she'd taken out her flask in the meeting. "I get quiet when I've drank too much, and very melancholy." She told him. "Not fun to be around, I ruin the whole party." She smirked to hide her nervous as she spoke. "Do you know where Ser Bradyn may be? I'd like to speak with you both, and understand what roads we'll be taking. In my, line of work, going in blind is the fastest way to get yourself killed." She said quickly, trying to move away from the topic as fast as possible. "Or maybe you could just find him then come find me. Since I must go speak with Ser Marcus and Ser Tobin, I can do that while you seek out Ser Bradyn...." She looked Manrel over before giving a half nod. "maybe after your bath." She commented. "I will go speak to Marcus and Tobin, enjoy the rest of your practice Manrel. I will not take any more of your time... at the moment."

With that, Wynnter turned and left Manrel. Finding her way to Macrus, and it would seem Ereth. "Oh... Hope I'm not interrupting something." She said softly. "If so I can come back later."

Marcus + Ereth

Thinking about it before answering "I do agree with you about horses and archers being more beneficial in such situation but unfortunately or fortunately, how you might want to see it, we do have one unit of both archers and riders. House Naelareon has always produced more foot soldiers in comparison to others, quite good quality even compared to other Houses, but we do lack severely in other 2 forces. I have been trying to balance the amount of forces in the troops but its only starting to bear fruit recently. House Daerros do provide us with the Horses and I personally try to train the new recruits to be cohesive unit for our cavalry... but House Daerros are a bit reluctant to give horses to us, due to those horses being of good quality and wanted by many other Houses" Marcus mentions but in the end huffs with frustration regarding cavalry situation

"Archers in the other hand do take some time to train and Lord Domeric were not so fond of "cowardly shooting from the behind" type person. I do admit that its not maybe the most best way of fighting but it culls the enemy units plus open whole lot of options in the field"

A small smirk appears on his face as Marcus mentions with a humour "And most interesting thing with this situation is that even our own sigil has a horse on it"

Seeing as Wynnter is approaching and speaking up, Marcus quickly looks her over and nods his head with approval with the new choice of clothing "No and yes Lady Wynnter. I am just exchanging information with Ser Ereth regarding the areas for the deployment of troops, but if you could wait a moemnt, since this wont take a long. We will try to wrap things up here and then I can give my f#ull attention to you"

Warlord, did I understand correctly that House Daerros were famous or known for Horsebreeding or was it Veleris? Just remember seeing the mention somewhere but I have no idea or cant remember at all

House Daerros are the horsemen, House Veleris has a strong infantry. Yet they will only send Trained Cavalry and Trained Infantry"

Ser Ereth nods "Will buy my next steed from them then, just hope they aren't as expensive and reluctant to sell for a fair price" Ereth chuckles.

"I like to ride with knights against my enemies, but archers do provide a great benefit by softening them so my lance can run them to a lot easier, now I hope the men of House Daerros and Veleris do a good compliment to the men we are taking as we need to leave some for defense"

"That I hope as well. There is much to gain and to lose, whatever happens so I might have to push things up a bit" Marcus agrees and nods before glancing at Wynnter

"If there is anything else Ser Ereth, you can always come and talk with me later. It seems like Lady Wynnter is seeking my attention and I still need to get necessary orders done for the upcoming campaign." apologizing to Ser Ereth and promosing to continue to talk before turning towards Wynnter, stern face and passively looking at her "My Lady, how may I help you? I see that you have changed your outfit and it seems to be more fitting the occassion" Marcus remarks as he looks directly in Wynnter eyes

Weyland and the Maester

"Maester I apologize if I am holding you up from something but this is important, how fast acting is that poison?"

Post Meeting with Darne

Weyland checks on his sons first. Once he informs them of the fact that he will be traveling he heads to his quarters to prepare to travel again.

Once that is complete he considers who he came in close contact with at the party the night he was poisoned. His Brother and Maid Dainis Charlton were the two he was in contact with closest the night of the Feast. She indeed did serve him a drink. Perhaps Weyland courts his own disaster? Still, continuing to write to her will keep her close enough for him to demand answers at the least...

Letter to Maid Dainis Charlton of House Charlton:
Dear Dainis:

I hope this missive finds you well. I shall soon undertake the difficult task of rooting the Faith Militant from the lands as I believe it is they who are responsible for my poisoning. The Fiends.

You are in my thoughts and indeed beginning to make your way into my heart.

The Mother has seen fit to ease my burdens with the memories I have of our time together. Perhaps soon we shall have more memories.

Once my time at War diminishes or breaks, I shall write you again.

With Great Admiration, Ser Weyland

Wynnter

"Just Wynnter, Ser Marcus." She corrected as she made her way over to him, moving past Ser Ereth. "I am not a Lady to any family." She informed him. When he commented upon her outfit she smirked. "While my, typical job is served better when I pose as a man, I can ensure you I like being a woman." She said honestly, her eyes never left his. "Wearing a dress even make me feel pretty." She said, some what sarcastically.

"But enough of that, I am here because Ser Manrel has suggested taking Ser Bradyn Rane as our third companion. Ser Manrel says he would more then likely shame himself in the court aspects and Ser Bradyn, at least in Ser Manrel's opinion, would be able to help in with that aspect." She explained simply. "I was told I was to have both you and Ser Tobin approve this. Thus, why I'm here." She continued as she shifted slightly. "If you do not wish for us to take Ser Bradyn, Ser Manrel also suggested Ser Liram Orell because he doesn't mind long journeys." All the time she never looked away from him.

"Ah, Wynnter it is then. Ladies are these days popping out here and there and it never pays to be careful although here" Marcus spread his arm around to encompass the House Naelareon "it would not matter so much. Nevertheless, Ser is something I do not really carry well or pay so much attention . Southern people then to want to point all people, who are able to fight, under Seven to knighthood by adding Ser in front and only because of Lord Domeric I ever bothered with it although Old Gods knows better than that." Marcus sighs as he looks at Wynnter and examines her while his fingers tap in a slow rhythm on his tight

"Regarding both Ser Bradyn and Ser Liram, hmm. Both are competenent on their own but the coming war and need for troops.... means that we are in need of all capable men soon. Ser Manrel will be escorting you and he is already one man army itself." Keeping his eyes on Wynnter, Marcus fingers stop their tapping "I will be talking with Ser Tobin soon and we can get this out of way immediately. I do have anyway need to talk with him so we might as well go see him now immediately" Marcus decides in the end and turns around to move towards barracks to find Ser Tobin

Weyland + Lucen

"It takes a bit of time, so you can't really tell when you were poisoned until it is to late. Then you feel it about once every few hours for a whole day."

"I do believe that inhaled is quicker to act, but I require testing, and I doubt to find willing subjects... sudden urgency comes to him "Well er.. I think I must do some important things Ser Weyland, if you have more questions to ask?" Maester Lucen in a quick hurry to leave.

Wynnter

"I will make you a deal then, if you call me Wynnter or Wynn, should you ever see me dressed as a man, then I shall call you Marcus. Plain and simple." She shrugged as she offered him a smile. When she noticed Marcus' eyes as they moved over her, her own eyes narrowed. "If there is something you'd like to ask do so." She told him bluntly as she crossed her arms. "I doubt there is a single question you could come up with that would bother me."

"Well I only want one or the other. I was told at the meeting, as was Manrel, that he was allowed to pick one other knight. We would prefer Bradyn, because he could protect me in ways Manrel cannot." She pointed out. "Unless you want me to do my best to keep Manrel's mouth shut... Which will be a feat..."

Turning over and showing crooked smile at Wynnter "It would do well for you to learn to keep your temper and actions well-behaved around lords and other higher ranking people since most of them do not like to be ridiculed or lied to, if they were to discover it" voicing out with ice-cold tone, referring to earlier attempt to disguise"and I simply observed that you will need some more better clothes in presence of lords, especially with Grells. You might want to make additional purchase before presenting yourself front of them. They are known to like good-looks and nice dresses. Regarding Ser Manrel, he is an excellent man with axes but the tongue would need to be sharpened. You might as well take Ser Bradyn as he is better than Ser Liram with speaking. And please do remind him that if I were to hear him getting drunk and misbehave during this diplomatic mission, it will be his last" uttering the last words word by word with stone-cold expression before continueing his journey

Ser Ereth can only chuckle at Wynnter's explosive behavior "You are rather interesting, but perhaps you should keep the dresses on when visiting another lords court, or any chance of negotiating with the Grell under disguise is doomed to fail before it begins"

Wynnter

Mmmm....We're either going to get along or loath each other." Wynnter said as he eyes met his. "I haven't figured out which yet." She told him honestly with a shrug.

Her eyes left Marcus' as Ereth spoke to her. "You have no idea." Wynnter comment when Ereth began to speak about the fact she was interesting. "If I am not mistaken, the whole point of sending me over over one of you is the very fact I am a woman." Wynnter pointed out. "Walking around as a man would defeat the whole point of sending me. No, the whole time I will be dressing, acting, speaking, and walking like a woman." She informed them.

"Also, no one ever answered my tailor question. Maester said one could be found so I guess I'll be going to see him tomorrow." She said as her gaze turned back to the path before her.

"Ill be sure to send Ser Bradyn with you so at least you can get to know him before you leave" Ereth replies, as he is not sure were a tailor woud be, he is getting to know the Naelareon lands himself.

Weyland shrugs, "Sorry Maester, I was thinking out loud, I meant suspects who may have poisoned me. I fear my contact with our dear departed Lord was too little to form any sort of idea on who may have wanted him slain, the Faith Militant is all that springs to mind for me".

Ereth + Marcus + Wynnter

"Old woman near the market square, in a house with a tatched roof and a bit more colourful door compared to others. There should be also a kind of sign above the door, resembling needle and thread." Marcus replies as he continues his walking

"and I simply do not care about the opinion of people. Either they fear or respect me, but then even that will get the job done. Do your mission well and thats it."

Wynnter

"I have asked Ser Manrel to find Ser Bradyn so that I may meet him. But if you believe I should get to know him more before leaving I suppose taking him along, at the very least so I don't get lost." Wynnter said with a simply shrug. "Though with the way Marcus just described the tailor's home and work place I believe I could find it." She commented. "Thank you for that Marcus."

"I can understand that... not caring about what people think of you is the easiest way to deal with those who look down upon you for simply being who you are..." She said softly.

I think we are ready for next day, let me know and we can wrap up the eventful afternoon in the great room

Wynnter

If Marcus and Ereth have nothing more to say and Ser Tobin has no objection to Manrel and Wynnter taking Bradyn along, and Manrel isn't going to pop up with Bradyn till tomorrow, I'm ready to move into the next day. Taking the two knights shopping would be funny! Though I think they only meant for Bradyn to accompany her to the tailor...

Woops, was not aware that Darne was needing to comfirm anything. He would indeed confirm.

After an abrupt presentation of the new members of the council for House Naelareon things were smoothed out to some manageable point. Ser Weyland and Maester Lucen spent a great part of the day asking questions to him before departing. The rest of the Household had their tasks to attend and still do their regular duties.

Next day comes by and Ser Bradyn does wait outside for lady Wynnter to accompany her to the tailor so she is prepared to do her job, while the other contingent is getting ready to depart for House Coldbrook.

I can make a small summary, or you gus can RP with your household NPC/PC's

Wynnter

The knight doesn't have to wait for long, Wynnter had been up early trying to figure out what she would want to pack for the trip to House Grell, so with in a short time the northern woman came walking up to the knight.

"Ser Bradyn, I hope this morning finds you well." She said as she came within speaking range. "I am sure you have been told, but that isn't the same as an introduction. I am Wynnter, the diplomat you'll be escorting to House Grell, and to the tailor for today it would seem." She told him, offering a friendly smile and nod. "I thank you for this though, I do not know the town well yet."

Did I discover anything with my rolls DM?

Ser Weyland will check in on his sons, will skip the RP for that to move the story along a bit.

Weyland

Spoiler:
You are not sure entirely, but it seems the poison talk and how, where, when question of the poison have made him remember something or he is nervous about something and he REALLY want to go to his chambers.

Ser Bradyn has a well kept short beard, and is good looking, but nothing like Ser Ereth. He bows courteous and offers a hand to walk Wynnter like a proper lady "Good morning my lady, I would be honored to escort you were you need to go, trust me the honor of meeting you is mine, or I would be escorting Ser Tobin to the yard to begin morning training" a tedious chore considered by him just by his tone.

Ser Bradyn nods "No thanks needed, after all I don't get to walk with beautiful ladies of the House everyday, you are doing me the favor by being seen in public so do not be modest my lady" he treats you like if you were a member of the House and of noble birth [b]"Well I heard the tailor was your destination, but I will be glad to walk you through my lords lands so you can know them better.

Wynnter

Wynnters' expression turned soft, though mostly sad, as Bradyn spoke to her. Her cheeks showing a slight shade of pink when he called her beautiful, as it was not something she heard often since she commonly dressed as a man. The cynic in her was sure he didn't mean it, but it was nice to hear none the less.

May be I should start telling people my surname... It will stop this "Lady" talk. It does nothing but embaress them and annoy me...

She gently reached out and laid her hand upon his arm, shaking her head slightly. "I am lady to no house, Ser Bradyn. At most I am now a Herald for our Lord. So please, just call me Wynnter." She said, her tone calm though still holding the underlining friendliness she had spoken with earlier. "However I would gladly take you up on the walk through the Lord's lands. I do wish to know them better and it will help me learn the area so that I can be of greater use." She offered him a smile again, trying to push away her expression from before.

Morning

Weyland once again approaches Darne's chambers. He pauses and knocks softly, "Lord Naelareon it is Ser Weyland, can we speak for a few moments?"
