She's still in her human form. Unless he has a spell up to recognize demons, he wouldn't know what she is.
"Your captain, the vampire one, met me in Bloodcove yesterday. We're working out an arrangement, but he asked me to prove myself by investigating a local threat. Did he not tell anyone to expect me?"

Not specifically. In that case i'll edit the previous post to not cast the spell or say Demon. All else remains the same.
"We've been otherwise occupied."
Noticing for the first time how attractive she is he holds up the toast.
"Toast?"
He remains wary, but is at least congenial at the moment.

Elinesha |

No prob. Just being clear.
"Understandable I suppose. I heard you were visiting another plane. Always an interesting endeavor." She shakes her head. "I don't eat much."

"Truthfully, I dont require it. I just enjoy the ritual. Especially Kafka."
As he speaks he holds up a cup of black liquid with one hand while he subtly folds his paper up he was writing notes on with his other hand.
"So, what's your proposed role? Caster of some kind I presume by your entrance."
You'll note his garments are immaculately clean and mended. An unusual situation on a ship.

Elinesha |

"It's never been something I've needed to worry about much. I never really got into the habit."
She does find somewhere comfortable to relax though. "I'm a priestess, spellcaster and a natural with persuasion and guile, as is appropriate for a follower of my lady."

"You never got into the habit of eating? " Sparel says curiously.
You quickly get the impression that Sparel is not particularly socially adept, but he seems to remember himself.
"I am Sparel Radymah. High mage and high priest of Sun Wukong. My abilities cover a wide spectrum, but spell casting is a fair assessment."
-Mah is a suffix given to high mages in the elven community.

Elinesha |

"I... well I don't even remember being human. And yes, I'm not a mortal."
She smiles at him, putting on a friendly expression. She recognizes his title and decides to be cautious around one who holds a position of respect and power. "Just call me Elinesha. I don't really have a last name. I'm one of the higher ranking priestesses of the Lady in Shadow, Nocticula. Spell caster, seductress, assassin, and bored adventurer, at your service. For now at least."
Cool. I believe tongues lets me recognize that.

It's a title I made up. Like Dr.
"Humm. Well, you seem congenial enough. For the moment i'll presume your interests align with ours. If you have malice in your 'heart' be sure to direct it away from this ship and it's crew. You'll regret doing otherwise. However, if the captain wants you on board, then so be it. "
*sips coffee*
it's a threat, sort of, but more just a statement.

Elinesha |

"My interests are almost primarily self-interests. I simply wish to find something to enjoy myself with. Piracy on such an abnormal vessel seems quite intriguing. As long as you'll have me, I won't act against you. It wouldn't serve me in anyway."

Sparel Radtymah |

"I signed on for effectively the same reason."
*sip*
"What are your thoughts on deimplanes?"

Elinesha |

She shrugs. "Never been to one, but they're dead useful from what I know. The customization is handy. Looking to make one?"

Elinesha |

"Hmmm, hideaway, storage, something else? I know a few wizards that made hidden workshops in demiplanes."

Ser Praetorius Liviticus |

Prae surprisingly isn't hitting on the Beautiful women who appeared in the cabin room
"We need it for the comfort and space and also for our Next major Misson after we round up a suitible crew here in the shackles"
"By the Way I am Ser Praetorius Liviticus Head Captain of this fine vessel, Belor is however the much scarier Captain and he owns the Gyrocopter"
Prae takes a sip from his own cup of Kafka, then places the cup next to Sparel
"That was gross Sparel, Elinesha was it, I hope you don't disappoint Belor and join our crew I love have Beautiful women to admire"

Elinesha |

"Head captain? I see. You have an unusual crew organization. Still, a pleasure to meet you." She smiles at him and winks.
"I have the basic information, as well as the location where the target will likely make another appearance. It needs more investigation, but I know what I'm doing." She chuckles. "Well, I hope your capable for doing more than admiring. I hate to be all show and no action."

Sparel Radtymah |

Prae takes a sip from his own cup of Kafka, then places the cup next to Sparel"That was gross Sparel. "
"I would think a functional digestive system is a prerequisite for enjoying Kafka. "
He says offhandedly.
*sip*

Sparel Radtymah |

With a calculating look at Elinesha Sparel decides that it's probably fine if she's privy to the information about the demiplane. Flipping his paper back over he motions Praet to look at the diagram. It's surrounded by indecipherable notes and formula around the edges.
"A large cave with a smaller cave separated by a door. In the smaller cave is to have some sunlight for both the wellbeing of your living crew and to grow some specific plant life. The darker cave will grow enough mushrooms to feed people (points at a formula), but you'll want to grow some specific things that require sunlight for the long journeys. Limes to stave off rickets and perhaps grasses to bring in larger animals such as cows and pigs. The latter of course are for eating. Having such things available at sea will help keep a happy crew. Also the darker cave will have some radiant lighting in the ceiling that looks like stars, but nothing that can harm you. What do you think?"
Edit: he shows this to anyone in the room, not necessarily just the captain.

Vimes and Belor listen to Sparel and Praetorius converse with the new teleported arrival. Vimes is gazing pleasantly at her the whole time, a little bit dazed by her beauty. Belor, however, keeps his head to a better degree and gets right to the meat of things.
"You said you were scouting for information on the vampire hunter, yes? What did you find? Where do we go to find her?"

Elinesha |

Elinesha looks up at the other vampire and just nods. "She last made port in Drenchport, picking up supplies. She's sailing with Tessa Fairwind, Pirate Lord of Quent. They went into the Eye about a day ago hunting draugr and have yet to return. If we want to do something about them, the best place may be to wait for them to return to their trip into the Eye. They'll likely stop in Drenchport again to resupply, assuming Fairwind is able to negotiate with the Master of Gales. From what I know, they have a civil relationship, so it's likely."

Sparel Radtymah |

"Sir, I'm going to prepare the demiplane. I'll be several hours before the initial casting is complete. For the second casting I'll be connecting the portal to the ship. Please finalize where you want that to be in the next six hours. I'll return for those details before the second casting. I'm be in my quarters. Please be sure I'm not disturbed lest we need to return to the City of Brass for a new scroll. "
With the captains leave Sparel returns to his quarters for a lengthy casting ritual.

Elinesha |

"If you'd like to try and fly through the Eye and find them while they're at sea, be my guest, but if you value your unlife, waiting is the better option. Plus we're just fishing for information, not trying to kill them. Well, not yet anyway. It's easier to charm someone in a bar and talk over drink than it is to infiltrate a ship already at sea."

Lucrecia Henderthane |

"Zere is an awful lot of talking for people supposed to be asleep, noh?"
Lu remarks somewhat sourly as she arrives, her day/night cycle not fully adjusted yet. But once she sees the newest crewmember she perks up and studies Elinesha with a curious glance.
"Vimes finally got a girlfriend?" she teases and blinks at the distracted man.

leinathan |

Vimes blearily responds, not taking his eyes off of Elinesha. He's no longer charmed, but it's clear that he's very fixated on the intensely beautiful woman. "Oh, I wish she was my girlfriend." he shakes it off and looks at Lucrecia. "Glad you could join us - any opinions on the situation?"

Lucrecia Henderthane |

"Hmm..." Lu takes a moment to saviour Vimes slight annoyance and contemplate the situation. "We were looking to test the ship's prowess - but an armed armada is probably not an appropriate starting point noh? But on ze other hand, flying zrough ze Eye has a certain tempting element, it does!"

Lucrecia Henderthane |

Continuing on, interrupted by dinner : )
"...But zis is a very nice ship and I loathe to see it smashed to splinters by a stray storm. So consolidate and train our crew, zen bide our time and find something juicy to strike? Or perhaps simply gun down an undead barge from ze sky! I like shooting fish in a barrel..."

Lucrecia Henderthane |

Down in the ship, Lima takes one look at the patrolling mephit and decides that this is not the perfect time to ask Spa for some help with that second book Prae brought her ...

Ringwald |

Down in the ship, Lima takes one look at the patrolling mephit and decides that this is not the perfect time to ask Spa for some help with that second book Prae brought her ...
He stops and makes eye contact with Lu. When she hesitates he makes a "move along" motion before continuing his patrol.
Ringwald clearly thinks highly of himself.

leinathan |

Belor nods just as Aiesha emerges from her bedroom, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. The vampire captain speaks in affirmation. "I agree, it would be... unacceptable to sail this ship into dangerous winds. It's not impossible to sail through or around the Eye, but it does require a lot of precise flying and significant in-flight repair. And nobody knows the effect of such a powerful windstorm on a flying vehicle like this."
"Speaking of that, what's the crew situation looking like?"

Sparel Radtymah |

typing from my phone
For six hours sparel draws diagrams on the floor, sprinkles powders, and chants under his breath. At the culmination sparel raises his arms while standing in the center of the diagram and in a booming voice demands a world to come into being... And vanishes.
He finds himself in the cave he had demanded the creation of. A large thing with luminous rocks creating the illusion of night sky and illuminating the cavern. Through a man sized tunnel is a small glade bathed in sunlight. Sparel nods this approval the. Plane shifts back to the prime. Using his way finder he finds himself back in the ship moments later.
Leaving his chamber he heads upstairs, patting Ringwald gently as he passes.
Finding the captain and crew, "Step one is complete. The plane exists. Now we'll need to discuss the location of the portal. Essentially, where do you want it precisely?"

Lucrecia Henderthane |

"Excellent!" Lu exclaims. Finally they would enjoy the fruits of their labour. Maybe even literally! "We were zinking of a large portal for everything yes? I zink somewhere under-deck - maybe ze prow - would work?"

Sparel Radtymah |

"One could put it in the crowd nest if one felt like it. It's impractical, but point being there are options. "

Sparel Radtymah |

keeping it brief
"captain, we could put a horizontal portal on the front of the ship with a strong hinge that could be raised for aiming the weapon. It's important not to think too linearly about portals. There's no need to put much behind them save for support. Thoughts,"

Sparel Radtymah |

"I have a device in mind that will rotate and lift the portal as needed. Basically you can turn it in any direction and even downward angled off the front of the ship. I'll show you my sketches of yore interested. "

Sparel Radtymah |

"Additionally, if we install an identical device on the demiplane we can use the one connection for multiple purposes. Crew travel when we're not fighting or hook up the big gun when we are. "

Sparel Radtymah |

"Mechanical energy. It's a ring on ball earrings for the port/starboard motion. Then a pivot on a supporting brace to angle it from flat to approximately 200 degrees. At its farthest apex it'll hang over the front of the ship. The actual adjustment is a matter of gears and such, but if you wanted to animate the whole thing that's an option. The ultimate goal is to make the portal multipurpose. Though there are other approaches if you'd prefer. "

Lucrecia Henderthane |

"Zat sounds a bit above ze paygrade of a backwater carpenter. You better watch ze grunts closely in zat case, otherwise it might come crashing down at an inopportune moment ..." Lu remarked, well aware of the dangers of unskilled labour.

Sparel Radtymah |

"I'm sure we can find something to do the job properly. Then again, perhaps it's too much. I thought it would be the most effective way to aim and fire by using an adjustable appeture. "

Lucrecia Henderthane |

More like, Lu expects Spa to keep an close eye on any construction and be liberal with his Know:Engineering ranks :P
"With proper direction I'm sure even zis plebs down zere could do such a task." Lu waves her hand dismissively. "Just not let anyone break anything important." Like the hull of the ship - *sigh*
