Viviana Masters |
Slightly apprehensive, Viviana follows the others in, still not entirely sure about combat in this nasty area, as she reflects on any options where she could gain an advantage.
GM Tyranius |
Charles and Viviana decide to scout ahead using Charles trident to push aside the seaweed. Before they realize what is happening Sahuagin are all around them stabbing at them with Tridents of their own.

Viviana Masters |
I know its not yet my turn, but I might as well post my actions now since they won't change.
Viviana wears a look of intense irritation as yet another Sahuagin attempt to destroy her. She had fought quite enough of them by now she reckoned, that all Sahuagin should run in fear at the sight of her, but perhaps the lesson needed to be taught further.

GM Tyranius |
That's fine Viviana. Your exploit definitely beats their CR2. I will give Somia a few hours before I GMPC since it has been a few days. If she is not back by the end of the encounter then I will drop as it has now been two encounters.
GM Tyranius |
Somia defends herself against the swarm of Sahuagin while Charles slams his Trident through a Sahuagin filling the room with fresh blood. The other Sahuagin seem to go into a crazed frenzy as the blood hits the water.
The Sahuagins stab at Charles, Aishe and Viviana in a frenzy as they swim in from the thick seaweed.

"If we have any spare healing, I would love some - although I dare say that I am not the only one..."
GM Tyranius |
Charles finishes of the remaining Sahuagin as the group untangles themselves from the roomful of seaweed.
Combat Over
Looking around Charles finds an assortment of:
- 8 crossbows
- cases of bolts
- one masterwork trident

Charles happily trades in his mundane trident for the MW one.
Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21.
Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29.
Charles pores over the contents of the room, eventually turning up a small pouch containing nuggets of gold and silver (worth 270gp), and a decomposed human hand wrapped in seaweed like a sushi roll, wearing a ring with runes etched all along the side.
"Anyone know what this does? I am assuming that it is magical..."
He then moves on to the next corridor to explore.
Position on map updated.

Somia tries to head out with them but gets greatly entangled in the seaweed. Go on ahead I will catch up in a moment. Please take my Potion of CLW (3) Acid (2) and Alchemists Fire (2) in case you run into any trouble in the meantime.
This way if she comes back she can catch up.

GM Tyranius |
@Aishe- I am all for out of the box ideas :)
Charles cleaves off the turtle's head while Aishe's boarding pike slams through the creatures shell and out the other side again effectively ending the creature's life. Viviana swims past it through the mist staying defensive.
@Aishe- Not sure if Concealment or Crit takes priority but a Crit is a auto hit so I don't see any need for a miss chance on a crit.

Not necessarily unwinnable. A really mean encounter for them to throw in this place but doable. Assuming everyone is runningswimming away.
The group quickly begins to swim away with all due haste. The jellyfish swarm seems to be just a little slower than the group and has a hard time keeping up. After a small chase the jellyfish swarm returns to the small chamber.
What next? The Jellyfish swarm does not stray far from the chamber unless provoked.
Charles Beecroft |
Charles moves over to investigate the crevice in the western wall of the shark chamber.
You mentioned that there might be a room beyond; how much effort would it take to break through?
GM Tyranius |
It looks as if you can just push a rock aside. It was acting as a secret door.
