Viviana Masters |

Vivianne, Conchbar is for the tomorrow planned, tonight its Scrimshaw. Any aid is useful and very much appreciated. I could imagine that we could us a standard tug pull practise if conchbar is a ladys man. So I set him up, telling him that you are a woman who likes man who are charming and when he makes a move on you, you would have it easier to woe him. In that case I would support you. I "COULD" imagine that he has an eye on rosie, as she seems to be the only other small female here afaik. So if we can get the two together, the better.
Fair enough, any objections to finding out rosies opinion on this dashing gnome?

Pet project for Jack in the evening: Try to win as many friends and allys as possible. Use Sense Motive to find out what those people like and speak with them about it. Try to do them as many favors as possible. Use those he is friendly with to gather more information about the others. Take care to make as few enemys as possbile.
So far he knows and and assumes:
ROSIE CUSSWELL = halfling f. Fiddle!, doesn´t like being treated short!, gambler!
CRIMSON "COG" COGWARD human m ?
CONCHOBHAR TURBLACH SHORTSTONE gnome m huge hat! (inferiority complex? also dashing? Ask about his success with the women mayb ask for hints, play with his ego?)
BAREFOOT SAMMS TOPPIN human m (doing his work barefooted? guess for more traction?)
GIFFER TIBBS human m
JACK SCRIMSHAW human m (Likes woodwork?)offer work! praise his craft!
RATLINE RATTSBERGER human m
TILLY BRACKETT human f
BADGER MEDLAR half-elf m Badger usually VERY grumpy?, better be careful?
SHIVIKAH human f
Jack approaches a man that is sitting near himself looking out to sea. As the man is sitting there he is scrapping pieces away from a decent sized piece of wood in his hands with a set of different shaped knives in a rolled up satchel at his feet.
Crimson "Cog" Cogward- Likes to hear very dark tales of warriors and brutes. You have seen him start and even get into a few fist fights as he gets into a bout of rage over the slightest of things which turns his neck and face a deep crimson.
Conchobhar Turlach Shortstone- He doesn't come off as a pirate to anyone on the crew but more of someone pretending to be a pirate than that of a true buccaneer. You have seen Conchobar talking to quite a few ladies aboard the Wormwood. You have caught Conchobar staing longily at Rosie at all times during the day.
Barefoot Samms Toppin- You are right he never wears shoes
Giffer Tibbs- a very disheveled gnome with only one-eye and a large burned out scar where the eye used to be located.
Jack Scrimshaw- You have seen quite a bit of Jack's work aboard the ship as you have also seen him carving out a few items during your free time.
Ratline Ratsberger- The Halfling almost has the features and face of a rat with long arms and three missing fingers.
Tilly Brackett- You have noticed that Tilly does like her rum at night and you have caught her playing small practical jokes on the ship such as making certain spots on the deck slippery and having buckets of water fall on comrades aboard the ship.
Badger Melar- All you know of this woman is that she is an older woman who shaves her hair into stripes on her head. She has never been too friendly to speak to.
Skivikah- A very tall Mwangi ex-slaver whom is none to happy about being on board and will let everyone know it.
Would any of you care to drink with us this evening? Grok, Rosie and Tilly ask as they continue on in their game, looking to the remaining party.

Jack Handsome |

Sitting down next to the other Jack handsome jack starts talking. "You know, I rarely have seen someone as handy with the carving knife. Mind you, it rarely happens to get a chance to improve a good tool. This knife is one of my favorits. It's well balanced and it can slice meat in the kitchen as good as some liudmouths skin. Now I see your hands and I would ask you pretty please with cream on top to make its hilt to a work of art. I know its a peace of cake for you, but what can I offer in return? Your favorite dish, some coins, tell me! diplomacy check was posted before, hope it worked!

Viviana Masters |

Viviana considers slightly, before shrugging and sitting down with them "Sure, I'll have a drink with you"
(Did Rosie react when I gave her the fiddle back a few posts back? I wasn't expecting her to fall to her knees and proclaim me as her one true god, but some gratitude would be nice)

![]() |

@Viviana- Yes I was just roleplaying it out as she is sitting here
Grok takes her first chug of rum.
Con damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Sort of a game of chicken as this is for the rum. Each chug needs a DC 15 First save or +1 to damage. Each consecutive drink's DC increases by +3

As Rosie receives the fiddle her mouth just falls open. How... How... How did you ever? I have been tryin fer days now. Rosie grasps the fiddle with a light fondness as she plucks each string. This calls fer celebration. I am in ye debt Viviana. Thehalfling states as she begins to play a rousing tune and an old Folk Song.
Olde Folk Song can be a little offensive so skip it if you think you will be offended. Rosie is just an offensive Halfling:)

Sarrien |

Made me laff.
Sarrien nods along to the tune, clapping slowly when she is done. "You play it well Rosie. Were you an entertainer before being brought aboard?" Sarrien will go to bed soon, borrowing the cage from the hold and hanging it up just above his hammock as a perch/place to sleep fpr Xavier.

Viviana Masters |

Rofl what an awesome song...can/does that con damage get healed
Viviana takes her first drink
Con damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Looks like I'll be dropping out soon

![]() |

Yes the con damage does heal as normal at a rate of 1 per day. Just remember that con damage takes from you HP also.
Grok says Good stuff! Go again? As the half-orc downs an entire ration of rum.
Con damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Wow that was a strong one! Grok retorts as she stumbles a little bit. Imma feels thish one in the mornin'

![]() |

Ah it was an able try though. As the days go o you will be able to handle more of ye rum. Grok roars out in delight.HAHAHAHA!!!

Nicpic Whitefeather |

@Jack: Nicpic is fine for now. He plans to ingratiate himself with the crew. Thinking he'll start with the Gnome, Conchobar.
Nicpic, that evening while Rosie fiddles, approaches Conchobar. "A pretty lass, yes? Hearing that fiddle in her hands eases the days. You know, a woman who plays is also one who likes to hear how her music sounds." He tries his best to nudge the gnome towards the halfing, not physically but by giving hints.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
And I think I may have nudged a little hard... :/

Jack Handsome |

Just a few questions?
a Could we trade in the pegleg for some money or more of our items?
b Who did win the drinking game?
c Not a question more of a hint. I thought Skull & Shackles is a VERY mature AP. I do play it a LOT Rougher as others. I can only speak for myself but keep it coming!"
Trying to join the refrain Jack fails oooh so miserably.
Perform sing: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

![]() |

I am fine with more mature. I just was warning for the song since that wasn't in the module. i just threw it in there.
Yes you are able to trade at the quartermaster
Nicpic approaches Conchobar about Rosie. You will be minding your own business if you know what is good for you or you will be missing yer tongue before the night is through Crow! Conchobar turns around as he adjusts his big foppish hat and continues to stare at Rosie.
As Jack begins to sing his song the crowd begins to boo as they throw their remaining food and splashes of rum at the man. One pirate even hurls at mug at him although he is unable to tell from whom it came from
As Viviana concedes to the drinking game Grok wins by default as Viviana dropped out of the event.
The remaining crew on board begins to prepare itself for bed as the party looks up they see that Mister Plugg is eyeing them as he is leaning on the railing from above.

Day Three
The party awakens to the daily bell as the get to the deck to work on their assigned duties. Mister Plugg is assigning the daily tasks and as he gets to the four members of the party with a sneer.
Rigger: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Swab: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Cook's Mate: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Rigger hoist the sails Master Scourge yells at Viviana
Rigger-Hoisting and Lowering the sails DC10 Profession (sailor) or DEX check. PC must also make a DC 10 Con check or be fatigued at end of the shift
Swabs get to cleaning this deck. If it is not shining I will have ye hides Master Scourge roars at Nicpic and Sarrien.
Swabs-Backbreaking work mopping the decks and scrubbing them with sandstone blocks, called holystones requiring a DC 10 STR or CON check. failing the result means poor quality work and fatigued at end of the shift.
Cook's Mate you will be turtle hunting today The First Mate says with a sneer as he leans into Jack's ear. If you ever touch one of my men again I will cut you hand clean from your body... Are we clear? Mister Plugg leans back with a toothy smile as he slaps Jack on the back.
Cook's Mate-Hunting Leatherback sea turtles with harpoons, treble hooks and nets. A DC 10 Profession (fisherman) or survival check provides enough food.

Jack Handsome |

To Master Scourge:"Aye, Aye SIR. Didn´t want to touch them, just wanted to follow my orders and show that we do want to fit in, SIR!"
Are Cut-Throut-Grok and Rosie Cuswell still indifferent? Jack will use the try to influence option today. If booth are indiffrent in order, if one is friendly the other, if booth friendly in order to helpful, if booth helpful Crimson Cogwell.

"Yes sir" Viviana mutters as she gets to her work. She hopes to find Rosie Cusswell while doing her chores, perhaps asking her about the gnome she caught staring at her last night.

Sarrien |

Con: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 -_- can i work diligently instead as my day action?
Sarrien hasn't had to work hard in this way before, though he gives it his best.

![]() |

Jack spends the morning fishing for sea turtles and is able to gather up enough for the day. It was a difficult task but ne that he accomplished none the less.
Rosie is Helpful now and Grok is friendly. I wil update that sheet tomorrow.
@ Jack-Still need a diplomacy check for Cogwell or whichever pirate you are trying to change their attitude.
Viviana spends the day raising and lowering the sails under the constant watch of Master Scourge as he drags his whip behind him near Viviana. As Viviana attempts to hear what Mister Plugg said to Jack she is able to hear nothing more than a whisper.
Viviana finds Rosie as she is mopping up the deck and begins to ask her all about Conchobar. Gods no that flamboyant gnome just keeps staring at me. I tried talking to him one night and all he talked about was himself. He thinks he is a damned pirate but he is going to get keelhauled or the sweatbox if he has to do any real work. By the hells if he keeps staring at me I'll cut his eyes out meself The Halfling says as she brings her handaxe from her belt loop and slams it into the deck's railing throwing chunks of wood into the air.
@Sarrien-Yes you can
Sarrien spends his day working diligently as he has a hard time getting the deck just right but ends up picking it up after a couple of hours.
As Nicpic continues to work Still make your rolls, at about midday the party sees young Jack Scrimshaw rush onto the deck and begins to talk very rapidly to Mr. Plugg. Soon after Jack reports to Mr. Plugg he yells out onto the deck. I need volunteers! If you make me wait you will be getting the sweatbox for the day!

Viviana Masters |

Viviana nods her head thoughtfully at Rosie "Meaning no disrespect since I know you can handle yourself, but do you want me to have a word with him" she remarks softly.
Sense Motive on Rosie so see if she truly hates him, or is just hiding unresolved feelings like 99% of the female population: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Perception check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
"I'll volunteer" Viviana offers, while muttering under breath: "Better whatever this is than having Mr Scourge following me around all day, checking out my backside"

Sarrien |

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Sarrien overhears Scrimshaw talk and looks up. checking out my back side. "I volunteer mr Plugg. I ain't scared of them bilge rats." He would do practically anything to get away from the incessant scrubbing of the decks his job was named after. Xavier sat on his shoulder and cawed in agreement. "My friend volunteers too, he loves the taste of rats blood.."

![]() |

I am going to go with Grok since you stated above you want to take her to helpful. If I am wrong let me know.
Jack goes for another visit to the quartermasters store with another bottle of brandy from the stores. Ohh I do get to know a lot of people but this is a thankless job. Everyone here wants their items back. All they have to do is pay the Cap'n and they can get some stuff back. It is a simple system. I don't want to get keelhauled for giving the Cap'n stuff away. Worse yet he might turn me into one of his whores.
She is now helpful
Viviana has a small discussion with Rosie about Conchobar. No need. I believe that I got my word across last time with him. If he doesn't watch out he will end up with his throat cur one of these days and he may not be as lucky as the quartermaster was. Rosie shifts in her seat. He does have a peculiar.. style about him though doesn't he?
As they start to continue talking Viviana and Sarrien overhear Jack and Mister Plugg talking as Mister Plugg roars for volunteers. Sarrien and Viviana rush over.
Mister Plugg roars Grab the cook's mate and the crow and get in the bilges. Don't come up until the rats are dead or the Cook's Mate is. he says with a sneer.

Jack Handsome |

Jack smiles at Grok and says:"I saw Jake, and I wouldn´t wish that for anyone.YET So how much do I have to pay, to give the captain his due for my stuff?" Having 45 from the peg leg, this should be more or less what I owe him? And one more convinced that we are true pirates Harhar har
Getting called from turtle-hunting Jack brings one of the harpoons he used to hunt down and the cleaver to kill them to the bilge, ready to give it to someone else so that the others are armed. He will have the mw dagger as his weapon. He will bring those weapons back to the kitchen of course.

Jack Handsome |

Savely away from other people Jack will cast light on a dagger he holds in his offhand.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
As soon as the battle starts his first action will be to bless his friends.

![]() |

As the party enters the bilges they soon realize that six dire rats have gnawed their way out of a dodgy consignment of barley and are now taking up residence in the brackish water.
The water depth provides concealment for the rats. 20% miss chance on a hit.
I know the rats are blown up a little big for being small creatures. I will make them a tad bit smaller tomorrow

Sarrien |

Sarrien spreads his hands out palms down facing the water and chants in draconic, "Arise water and surround us, conceal us from our foes." Some of the bilge water turns to mist and soon the entire bilge is filled with it. "Stay close." Sarrien chuckles, as if they could go anywhere.
Casting Obscuring Mist. Now we have concealment against the rats and the battlefield is even :)

Viviana Masters |

For future reference GM do you want us all posting our actions out of turn order, or would you rather we wait for each person to post?
Viviana lashes out blindly at the nearest rat

@ Viviana- As long as you are all bunched up it is fine to all post at once for what you want to do. if you want to do something situational you can wait until your turn if you want.
The party feels a bit more confident and sure of themselves as the enter the bilge due to Jack;s words or blessing.
Upon seeing the rats Sarrien steams the water turning a large cloud of mist into the bilge making it extremely difficult to see as Viviana strikes out at the nearest rat.

Sorry, a lot of stuff got hectic/crazy/screwy Monday night in my life. Sorry for missing most of the week @.@
The hard work and the occasional beating/whipping having left him dazed for some time, Nicpic has barely registered he had followed some crew mates below.
