About Viviana Masters
From a young age, Viviana had always been a restless child, spending the days climbing trees, and swimming in rivers, full of boundless energy. Nothing really interested Viviana for long, as she would flit from one activity to the next, always curious, and always eager to try new things. Once, her parents, seeking for new ways for Viviana to use up that excess energy, took her to see a family friend, who had offered to spend an hour or so teaching her some basic self-defence moves. One hour, turned into three, and when Viviana eventually came home, she was so exhausted she went straight to sleep. From this point forward, Viviana devoured combat training, loving how she could push herself and her body further and further. Some days she would spar, sometimes on others she would walk into the river, and stretch out under the water, holding onto a rock while the current bobbed and pushed her one way and the other. Viviana had fallen in love with the mental aspect of combat - reading your opponent and then reacting accordingly, while using her speed and agility to confound her opponents.
While her combat training was remarkable, Viviana constantly chafed under the weight of tradition she felt under. Living in a village where tradition was constant, while studying teachings of unarmed combat that encouraged a particular lifestyle began to frustrate Viviana, as she began to argue both with her parents and with her informal teacher. Her parents for instance, while accepting of her extracurricular activities, wanted Viviana to step up and undertake the responsibilities they felt were owed to her. They were getting old, and hoped that Viviana would eventually settle down, perhaps find a partner, but at the very least accept her duties as a member of the village.
This struggle could have gone on for a good while more, had not the village been invaded by bandits, and Viviana herself being sold into slavery. Viviana would never see her parents again, as they did not survive the attack, but on the other hand, nor would she stay a slave for long. Using everything she had to her disposal, Viviana managed to successfully escape and fled, escaping on a boat headed to the Shackles.
The captain soon realised he had a stowaway on board, but took pity on Viviana and let her stay on board, provided she did her bit to assist with the running of the ship. Although being on a ship was new to her, Viviana adjusted well, becoming a decent sailor in her own right. When the ship finally docked at the Shackles, Viviana slipped into the crowd, looking for a new life on the water.

Appearance & Personality:
Viviana Masters is a slim human female with long flowing red hair, with a well balanced personality. After losing her parents, becoming a slave, and escaping, Viviana considers herself having some degree of "real world experience", allowing herself to become quite resourceful and independent, despite her young age. With her combat training, combined with her speed and agility, Viviana has some degree of confidence - perhaps bordering on arrogance - in her abilities and in how she feels she can handle herself. As a young women often alone, she is fully aware that she can attract unwanted attention, but doesn't let it trouble her, preferring to take it as a compliment.
Despite taking combat training very seriously, Viviana adopts a very relaxed atmosphere. Shes very much at ease offering advice (especially combat related)just as much as she is sharing a drink with an old acquaintance. Above all else, Viviana believes in unrestrained freedom, often switching from a serious mood to a playful one at the drop of the hat.
In dress Viviana is relatively simple. She wears long dark pants, with a partially buttoned white linen shirt, open at the collar. She often cuts the sleeves off her shirt, freeing up her lightly muscled arms, moving with coiled energy.
