Jack moves to the cleric of Besmara, smiles and says:"Hello ladies, my name is Jack, Handsome Jack. I am happy to have a priest of besmara with us, we might need some help from above to survive the next days. Now I am also no novice in following besmaras laws, pun intended, but I have a feeling some people here will make it hard for a man to earn his... living!" Gathering the other shanghaid around him he says:"Listen folks, fate has chosen to send us to this... boat together, with a sadist as first mate. Alone we will be vulnerable, but together we stand a chance. A chance to survive this and find our destiny. I did talk to the chef and he told me a bit, and live is hard here, but one can survive. I can mend your wounds and help you in other ways. Now I think I can arrange for all of you to find a weapon. Just to be safer. Maybe we can find out more about this ship. What do you say?"

At Jack's confession he turns back to his work, "That's tough." He can't thin of anything else to say so continues to work in silence for the rest of the time he is there.

During the day Sarrien will Sneak (Day Action) around the bilges to see what he might find as he works down there.

at the bloody hour...
Watching as the only man he had talked to besides the Tengu was tied to the rope and keelhauled impressed Sarrien with a very important lesson. Don't cross these pirates. Even though he hated them he must work quietly and pretend to be a good crewman. Perhaps if he made some allies he might have better chances. Those others recently brought here might be the easiest to create an agreement with. The last thing he wanted to do was end up shark food. A fascinatingly disgusting mess that. No, if he died he wanted to die looking... himself. Then when he realised even small infractions were to be punished he wondered if he might be able to use this to his advantage somehow...

in the evening...
Sarrien takes his stew and ration and hangs around on deck watching the games the crew plays. He leans back against one edge of the deck watching everyone and trying to get an idea of any groups that seem to form between them. Most of the others that were recently brought on board seemed to be talking together so he walked over to make himself acquainted. "Tough break today," he says to the Tengu, then to everyone, "I didn't think I would be among pirates so soon. I guess there is no avoiding them in the shackles."

He will start with that he is also a fellow follower of Besmara and that he values her hint very much. As she is around on the ship much longer she might have any hints who of the crew is easier to talk to and whom to avoid at all cost. He also asks how to get his cooking belt back.

Viviana chews her lip thoughtfully, wondering how to approach the Quartermaster. Shes not particularly skilled with wordplay, preferring to solve conflicts with her fists, but this was unlikely to be a good option in this case. She remembers that Sandara Quinn managed to convince her, that the daggers were cursed, and she wonders if this might work again.

Viviana decides that perhaps playing on religious superstition, as well as perhaps getting the quartermaster drunk MIGHT swing things enough to at least get the fiddle back, and she resolves to catch up with Handsome Jack at the earliest opportunity (not sure if he is asleep now), to see if he knows where the best quality (and highly alcoholic) beverage she could get her hands on. Viviana also takes the opportunity to drop off the two daggers (idr whos they actually were) before she turns in at night. Will also tell Sarrien possible familiar locations, and tell everyone to be careful wandering the ship with traps about. (Planning on sleeping after this if there is nothing further I can do)

Next Day Planned Ship Actions

Day: Visit Quartermaster hopefully with a drink or two
Night: Pretty much hang out with pirates and try and influence someone.

While everything here now belongs to the Cap'n I may be able to sell it to you or even "loan" some stuff to you seein as you are friends with Ambrose also and were nice 'nough to bring me this here Brandy! Grok says as she inspects the bottle, pulling the cork she takes a large gulp of the brandy. Ahh that is some good stuff. Lot better than this swill rum on board. What is it you are looking fer.

Didn't we just tell her what we were looking for? (AKA, the vial, the fiddle, and the cooking belt?)

Ah Yea I must have been updating and didn't see your post

Yes, Yes I may be able to get some of that there for you. I'll tell ye what. I'll get that alchemist's fire and fiddle for ya if you play me a song. The half-orc says with toothy grin as she turns around and begins rummaging through a large crate. After a few moments and finding the right crate Grok produces the fiddle and the Alchemist's Fire. Now then these are just on loan as the Cap'n woud have my thrown overboard if he finds out I am just giving out his loot. I am only doing this because Kroop likes ye. Do you understand me? The hal-orc says with an absolute serious tone in her voice. If I find out ye betray me I swear to the gods that I will strike ye down before I am thrown overboard. Grok hands you the items as she takes the bottle of brandy.

Viviana smiles, "Of course I will play a song for you - I'm warning you though, I'm still learning my craft

Crossing my fingers...

Perform: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

Viviana carefully takes the fiddle and plays a simple tune she remembers from her childhood in the village. She feels a little sad as it brings back memories, but also a surge of pride that she can still play such a beautiful tune largely from memory.

As she finishes, Viviana bows slightly "You did us a service, and for that, we thank you, we won't betray you, you have my word on that"

Did Jack get his cooking belt as well?

In that case, assuming that I have done my day tasks, I'll give the fiddle to Rosie in the evening after Bloody Hour - ill rp that when its time. If I haven't done my day tasks yet, then I'll do them now

After the days tasks are completed the sound of the evening bell rings as the crew emerges on the deck for the bloody hour. The only pirates that seem to be getting berated for the bloody hour are th four that blocked your path this morning as they are each giving 3 lashes by Master Scourges whip.

After the evening meal the rum rations are all passed out. Staying on the deck are some of the same pirates from the night before to also include Cut-Throat Grok and a gnome with an extravagant foppish purple hat, an eye patch, a white silk shirt, leaning on a dandyish cane as he stares out at the sea. This evening's game looks to be like a drinking game of sorts. It looks like the pirates are heaving down rum as quickly as possible.

Viviana seeks out Rosie, whisking out the fiddle and handing it to her with a smile. "As promised, one fiddle, free of charge". She pauses, looking at the game with interest, "I see that after last night you switched games" she teases.

"That´s mighty helpful of you, Grok, and we won´t forget it! A well you see, I stumbled over something that should be in your room, I guess. Someone must have lost it, I guess one of your "victims" Maybe this can help us even the odds."Offering the peg leg with the silver band as barter
The rest of the day Jack works hard in the galley, this is work he loves and it seems a haven of peace.
When the four are wipped he looks at viviana and Nicpic and Sarrien. This sadistpig really made four people hate us even more. Especially me. I have to be careful
Offering 10silver on Grok he cheers and curses with the best. Tonight he will try to win Jack scrimshaw over.

"He's my friend." Unlocking the cage he lets Xavier out to flap his wings then keeps him with him for the evening and night. Watching the four who tried to delay them that morning get whipped was a little satisfying.

He watches the evening game though doesn't have anything to bet with and doesn't feel like joining in and getting drunk. He whispers to his raven in Infernal "Being stuck on a pirate ship doesn't look that bad so far."

Plan:
Pet project for Jack in the evening: Try to win as many friends and allys as possible. Use Sense Motive to find out what those people like and speak with them about it. Try to do them as many favors as possible. Use those he is friendly with to gather more information about the others. Take care to make as few enemys as possbile.
So far he knows and and assumes:

JACK SCRIMSHAW human m (Likes woodwork?)offer work! praise his craft!

Vivianna:
Anything else you need, equipmentwise? I would support your pitch with Rosie!

Nicpic:
Anything else you need, equipmentwise? What do you plan, how can I help? I am trapped in the galley, anything you see or hear on the ship is valueable

Sarrien:

Equipment: If you can pull out bare adventuring essentials (Black Powder, Flint, AntiPlague, AntiToxin that would be awesome, but there is nothing pressing that Vivianna needs (IC that is)

Nicpic / Sarrien; I seem to recall you encountering someone chained up, do you know where that was on the ship, it could be a useful ally.

Jack: I would be happy to have your assistance, especially with diplomacy checks, do you want me to assist you with Sense Motive Checks / Aid Another? Do you want me to be with you when you chat to Conchobhar (seeing as I am the only women in this 4 person party), or do you want to keep it as an "all guy chat" for now?

Vivianne, Conchbar is for the tomorrow planned, tonight its Scrimshaw. Any aid is useful and very much appreciated. I could imagine that we could us a standard tug pull practise if conchbar is a ladys man. So I set him up, telling him that you are a woman who likes man who are charming and when he makes a move on you, you would have it easier to woe him. In that case I would support you. I "COULD" imagine that he has an eye on rosie, as she seems to be the only other small female here afaik. So if we can get the two together, the better.
