Aishe looks quizzically at Jack. "We do have the potions we found, Jack. They will surely be sufficient. That said, you're right about the crossbow; we should be prepared for the worst." With that, she casts a quick light cantrip on the rope and peers into the depths.

Between rowing to the island, climbing through the rocks to the cave and digging a 10 foot hole big enough, while moving dirt out of the cave, with rest breaks to majority. I am basing it loosely on when I dug a similiar hole with a shovel. The sun is just beginning to go down. So around suppertime.

Jack and the rest of the group decide to head back to the ship for dinner and retrieve Jack's crossbow. They decide to rest for the night to prepare for their journey into the dark watery depths below and leave once again at first light.

As the group sleeps they feel their powers grow. Level up

Jack will ask Sandara nicely to prepare a dweomer for the next day, to help with the water breathing, figuring that it is nice to have the potions as backup, but safer to start with a spell.

Well, as per the Swim skill, for calm water the DC is 10, and for rough water, it is 15. Succeeding at the check allows you to move 1/2 your base speed (as a full round action) or 1/4 your base speed (as a move action). Basically, it takes a while to get anywhere :-/

As a quick reminder to underwater fighting if you so wish to dive under after some creatures, which does include chest deep water which is as such.

[ooc]Movement- A successful swim check allows a creature to move 1/4 speed as move action or 1/2 speed as full round action.

Combat- A successful swim check is as follows: Slashing / bludgeoning= -2 attack and half damage ; piercing damage is normal

Failed swim check- Makes you off-balanced which makes the character lose it's dex bonus for that round to AC while opponents additionally gain a +2 to attack against off balanced characters

So if you can get a 10 with rolling a 1 then there is no need to roll a swim check but just remember that your move action is only 1/4 speed and full round movement is 1/2 speed. I am only going to count during combat

yea the prebuffs were fine as you were formulating a plan. I was just kicking it off before I went to bed, as you already had the plan laid out.
