Zarongel gets his Bakin Dun Stick back, and is gnawing away on some bakin to be sure - and notices that the Piggy-Pig has three odd vegetables stuck in his armour - they really really really disgust-o-stinky.
***
Surrounded by a rickety wooden fence and thick mud, Munchmeat Farm slumps in a soggy valley between two low tors. A slimy-looking creek winds through the farm, which is barely anything to look at.
A house in the center of the fenced-in area leans against two hefty buttresses holding up three large beams. It’s balanced on numerous thick log stilts that create a cage-like hollow in the mud below the building.
North of the house are a few filthy chicken coops, and to the west an upturned boat, propped against the fence, has been built into an impromptu shelter. A shed sits to the south of the building, and south and east of this shed are a few tired stretches of garden that look like they’re best at growing mud and weeds.

Mogmurch looks over the piggy, trying to see if it look like Kobold Dragon Pig or something like that, but as he never sees a Dragon Pig before, he can't be sure.
Then he look at stinky veggies, trying to see if they just rotted or something more interesting and BOOMY.

The gate...
A single rickety farm gate allows passage through the wooden fence here, below an archway made of broken branches and bleached bones. A sign hangs from the arch, its words scrawled onto the wood with what looks like blood. Three severed, maggot-covered goblin heads sit on poles driven into the ground to the left of the gate. A second sign leans against these poles under the heads.
Moving across the yard towards the house, you pass a flimsy structure that seems to have started out as a workshed, but its sagging walls have been almost entirely overtaken by rampant plantlife.

Mogmurch Boom*boom |

Shifty, was Mog able to identify stinky veggies or are they just regular pig slop?
Mog not care where looking first. At Reta's suggestion, he turns toward the boat.

Mog not seen veggies like this before. They stink like fuel from a bomb, but are not bombs... perhaps the Piggy had been eating them...!?

An upturned boat, an old river barge by the look of it, sits in the mud here. The boat’s stern has been built into the fence, and a large hole has been smashed in the southern side to provide entrance to the dark hollow created by the hull.
It seems as though it has a bunch of piggy's in there - one is the fattest piggy you ever saw, just laying on its guts, another is a large but dejected and sad looking piggy.
[spoiler=DC15 Wisdom check[/ooc]
The dejected piggy is the fearsome Squealy Nord from your village! Friend not food![/ooc]

![]() |

Mogmurch can work out it wold be simple enough to open the gate and unhook the chain on Squealy's neck. Mog manages to see that Princess Crackling has two more stinky fruits tied up within easy biting range...
Mog also notes that Princess Crackling raises a lazy eye in his direction - he knows she now knows hes there.
You can rescue Squealy safely enough and without incident, but Princess (who is a huge piggy) is probably going to react if you poke in her pen

Squealy is liberated from captivity - Squaly gets a real mean glint back in his eye now he's free - then he looks at his Goblin compatriots just like a piggy would if the piggy had a tiny mind bursting with thoughts of revenge... clearly Squealy is onside for any battle-pigging!
Squealy sticks near Poog for the time being.

Mogmurch Boom*boom |

Mog follows Squealy's gaze as well and whispers "That where Ogre sleep? We cook him up soon. Reta want check outside buildings first. Can Squealy tell us what is there?" He asked, pointing toward the small buildings north of the farm. (Area 4)

If we burn the place, do we miss out on the potential goodies on our chronicles? Added a marker for squealy on the map.

To answer the question: The mission was to defeat (or drive off) the Munchmeats, setting the place on fire will have consequences (good or bad, depending on your view) but as these are Goblins, and Goblins do crazy things, I don't see that losing loot should be the outcome :) It's going th be very unsubtle though - so caveat emptor! (In fairness, as Poog I one shot killed the whole end of the Scenario being even more loony)
Squealy indicates the house, "Stupid Ogre lives in there. He has a big birdy thing under the house. Theres a bunch of hens in a hen house, but also so gigantic crazy-mad dog. It's usually lazy and sits there like a lump"

![]() |

About the only thing I could *add* to the shenanigans is getting the burp-fire gourds as a target for Poog to blow up.
Poog talkz foor Squeally! Longlegs sayz uz all knowz wutt Squeally seh!

Mogmurch Boom*boom |

Sub-chieftain Mogmurch considered their strategy, afterall he was smartiest goblin here...
"That sow too lazy to come help Ogre... but dog come when called. Reta right, we go there and kill doggy first. Reta and Poog like kill doggy." Mog knew well how much all Licktoads liked killing doggies.
Considering for a minute, he took off his eyepatch and used the strap to tether a stinky fire fruit thing to Squealy like it was on other piggies. "Here Squealy, if eat this thing, you fire-breathing piggy! Let's go kill doggy now."
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 2 = 33
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Proposing we go to area 4 and kill the dog first so he won't come to his master's aid later.

Shifty |

Squealy looks excited by the prospect of bloody minded revenge, much stomping in the mud...
Mog moves up to take a look at the hen houses.
Three decrepit henhouses slump battered in the mud here. The nervous clucking of several chickens can be heard from within. Can't see a dog though so far.

Mogmurch Boom*boom |

Mog stays quiet and looks around in dirt for sign of doggy pawprints trying to figure where doggy might hide.
Shifty, do you think my mutagen is worn off yet? Good for 30 mins and took it during first pig fight.

Soo... what is procedure for an abandoned pregen in these "you only get four PCs" mods? Does the GM run the absentee character or could the players do that/get a vote? =/

Mogmurch Boom*boom |

Righto, I'll be 'Chuffed'
Thanks Shifty, hope Mike is ok.
Mog nods, grinning. Liking Reta's suggestion so much, he motions for Chief Chuffy to join him and they sneaks close enough so that Mog lobs an alchemist fire at doggy while Chuffy readies sneaky crossbow attack.
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Throw Alchemist's Fire: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
That looks rather unimpressive, hoping Chuffy can get off a sneak attack before Dog attacks us.

Shifty |

Chuffy 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Mogmurch 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Reta 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
ENEMY 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
At this point Mogmurch makes the connection that the straw and the lovely wooden henhouse are both highly combustible, and matched with some accelerants creates a wonderful fire.

The dog barks as the place erupts in an instant bonfire...

Mog grins again and then looks back toward house to see if any Ogres running to the rescue. If no one coming, he gets a wicked gleam in his eye as he fishes the container of sovereign glue from his pocket. "How many doors on big Ogre house? Maybe we glue them shut and then light place up. Cook up Munchmeats but good!"

Poog, your goblin speech is getting hard for me to understand what you saying!
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Mogmurch looks at bridge carefully, asking Chief Chuffy. "Do Chief see any traps?" Chuffy has a better chance of seeing a trap, so Mog will wait till he says the bridge is clear.
Quietly, Mog sneaks toward the door and carefully applies the glue to the cracks in the door, hoping to seal it shut along with any windows he can reach.
