Apologies for being a bit slow with responses here lately. Had a particularly busy weekend, and now my daughter's been sick for the last two days which has wreaked havoc with my normal routine. Will post later this afternoon.
ZetaGilgamesh, just going to point out that Tendal ought to be aware that mending would be a handy cantrip to prepare today.

The halfling at the end of the table who nobody knows his name apart from Larur and Saul :P
You're so unsociable. ;)
Technically, I'm not sure Saul has explicitly been told everyone's name yet. Considered some kind of contract-signing scene or something to get everyone to introduce themselves, but it felt too Romper Room to go around the table and have everyone give their name and their favorite color so I'm just going to presume you gave your names to the Gold Goblin when you collected your pay. Phil and the rest of the party will have to work out introductions among themselves. :)
Thanks for bearing with me, guys. I spent much of the day trying to get caught up on the things I didn't get done while my daughter was sick and will be getting the game updated tonight. Tendal, bless you for narrating yourself upstairs without my input. And I loved this:
Tendal rolls out of bed like a week old corpse, as the sun (evil evil sun) lances through the half-pulled curtains, filling the room with vile sunlight.

Just wanted to doublecheck, as I can't find where you first wrote it, but you did say that we all get our 10gp now, and those of us who arranged it beforehand also get our 2gp, right Joana?
Also, from the loot, Dayn will take a sap and one of the spheres. He'll also take the powder to get it investigated, unless someone else wishes to do so.
As for the rest, are we selling it and splitting the coin? What items are left? Who took what?

I'll update Braddon's equipment over the weekend.

Joana |

Don't believe anyone else has claimed anything from the loot thus far.
Just to make sure we're all on the same page re the information gathered:
Thuvalia and Volo and the rest of the bandits were staying in Lubbertown, and their belongings are (hopefully) still there to be recovered.
Volo presumably made first contact with his tipster in re the Gold Goblin job in the Free-Coin District.

Joana |

Wouldn't Thuvalia be getting up at the same time as the other casters?
By the time the two of you got out of the dungeon and up to speak to Saul and Larur and back down to the rooms again, Samaritha and Tendal were already in their rooms resting, so she was a little behind them. Also, Samaritha didn't get her full 8 hours of rest, as she didn't cast anything but cantrips yesterday so didn't really need to reprepare. Tendal should have been a little later getting upstairs verisimilitude-wise, but the morning meeting was stretching on so we're just going with it to avoid leaving him out of the game.
By "the present time" in-game, we'll say Thuvalia's required eight hours ought to be just about completed.

ZetaGilgamesh |

Lol. I am just trying to think of the best way to respond that is within Tendal's character.
I think that returning the jewelery would be too menial for Tendal. It isn't gentlemanly for him to go running around the town.
Plus he has a date soon.

Braddon Hurst |

I'm having far too much fun with this character. :-)
However, next week I shall be away on holidays, for the next two weeks. I shall be taking my trusty laptop with me, but posts will likely be sporadic. Reliable posts shall return come the 17th March. Until then, use Braddon as you wish- he'd probably enjoy it. :-)

Priorities indeed... In June my wife and I will be in LA for a friend's wedding. So we'll be sticking around for 3 weeks afterwards to take a bit of a look around at good ol' US of A. I'm trying to convince her I should be in Seattle for Paizocon, but it finishes only 2 days before we fly out of LA back home. Updates may be a little sporadic then too. I suspect the Grand Canyon may not have the best reception. :-)

Joana |

I was at the Grand Canyon last spring. Our room didn't have internet, but we weren't on the Rim. I know some of the main buildings had WiFi available.
Should have already updated today, but just haven't had the positive energy. Went to renew the car registration this afternoon with a sick kid in tow and drew number 81 when we walked in; they were serving number 10. :P
Will try and regroup tonight. I went ahead and updated the maps and such on the Campaign Info tab, even though Liry hasn't actually pointed out all the landmarks yet. Figured I might as well get something done if I wasn't up to posting.

Sorry for my absence gang. My life has seemed to follow the pattern lately of a slow, relaxed pace, with a good amount of free time (as I prefer it) then sudden switching to a flury of activity with hardly a moment to myself (or my Games!)
Not sure when this will be changing. It's still all good on my end, but I can understand, and I don't like either, how it can interrupt my gaming. So please forgive!

Okay, while Dave is on vacation and Khaladon's schedule is unpredictable, I'm going to make the following assumptions to keep everyone's timelines synched up:
Braddon is going to return Ananda to her home and then go on from there to the House of the Silken Veil to find the tiefling costumes and possibly deal with Oliver Bott;
Daynadrian is going to go with Thuvalia to Lubbertown to retrieve her belongings. He also has the alchemical items confiscated from the Sczarni to identify.* If he wants to mention the Ananda situation to Saul before leaving the Goblin, he's free to do so; just retcon in any dialogue you care to.

Braddon Hurst |

I'm happy with that. Braddon will also be asking Anya and Lexy if they noticed Ananda and Shorafa's other girls there. He'll be avoiding Shorafa and Oliver if he can, but is prepared to tell them he's looking for some cute girls he spotted. He'll hand over money for horns and tails after they answer his questions.
This week I've got daily net access. Won't know about next week till I get to Darwin.
I understand the import of syncing timelines and I'm prepared to RP or jump forward in time, or both, as suits your convenience.
Any time you want things more convoluted just give Braddon some RP and it shouldn't take long. He seems to have a talent. :-)

Joana |

Well, that's Balance, right? For every soul redeemed, another must be corrupted? It's the circle of life! ;)
And now I'm thinking of the Wheel of Morality. :D

Daynadrian Nirgassan |

Ha! Ya, I've been noticing and enjoying that as well. And I guess that's the thing with CN, they can slide either way, depending on the situation.
From Dayn's point of view though it's less about what's the moral thing, as opposed to what makes sense, or will make life easier.
WoM lol

Joana - I don't think Phil has met her yet, but Larur mentioned her in the morning. Is Fiora a Gold Goblin employee? - or a third party contractor who works elsewhere?
Phil will inquire about such things at the appropriate time, but thought I'd query now so as to help shape up his later musings.

Independent contractor.
Is Phil ahead of the others as far as timeline goes? - don't want to shoot too far ahead of the others.
Everyone is at or close to lunchtime; by the time Braddon gets where he's going he will be, anyway. The Lubbertown group is perhaps a little behind the rest right now. I would expect Phil and Ethel to be done with their mid-day meal first, as she's on the clock and has to get back to work, while Tendal and Liry have the leisure to linger a while; so feel free to move on to the next thing on Phil's agenda once he's returned Ethel to her place of employ.

Joana |

Khaladon, when you have time to post, I just want to confirm that the ball's in Daynadrian's court for dealing with Thuvalia's former landlady. Just want to be sure you're not waiting on me.

Joana |

I figure Liry can provide the answers to my knowledge rolls as if she thought of them...perhaps...
Ninja'd you on the gladiators. Unfortunately, she's not much of an expert on the local fishing scene, so you'll have to do a bit of asking around (Diplomacy to gather information?).
Also, you rolled lower on that subject. ;)

Phillip Hargreaves |

Yet another point of minor motivational difference... Tendal is interested in gladiators because he thinks he might be able to make money out of them... Phillip is interested so he can pay someone to break legs for him... and alternatively know by face those that might be paid to come and break his legs...

Joana |

Braddon's situation can't help but remind me of this exchange from the latest episode of Person of Interest:
Leon: It's not like I'm still crying over Candi, but it's always the same story, you know? You find a girl you like. She's tall, she's pretty, and it turns out someone paid her to handcuff you to a bed so they could murder you.
Reese: Same old story.

Joana |

Do you want me to hold up until everyone is closer on the timeline?
Actually, you're kind of right in the middle timewise. Braddon and Phil are nearing sunset, and Malkith and Daynadrian are still early-to-mid-afternoon. Malkith's gathering information, though, so I'm inclined to give him a summary post of what he's able to find out in Free-Coin before the casinos open, and until Khaladon checks in, I'm just going to rule he's spending the afternoon with Thuvalia. Then everyone will be back at the same point on the timeline to start the evening.
Anyway, Tendal can walk Liry home or go back to the Goblin or anything else he wants to do before sunset.
