"This robot seems a little sturdier than the previous," Silveras notes. That or we're just not hitting the damn thing hard enough. "Let's bring this thing down." Uses Get 'Em. +1 to attack rolls on the robot until my next turn.

Crash, bang, Wallop.
The second guard robot is quickly reduced to antique component parts.
The generators are about waist high. The console on the northern generator flashes red, displaying a malfunction in one of its coils.
Spending about half an hour in here, you may be able to fix the damaged coil and solving the power fluctuations the city experiences at the moment. Roll a check if you want to try this
You quickly check the next door for traps, find none and open it.
The temperature of this narrow room is a few degrees warmer than the previous chambers. Racks of computers line the walls, with tiny lights blinking and hard drives audibly whirring. A single terminal stands opposite the only door to the west, an input prompt flashing serenely.
You could try and log into the terminal with a computers check...

Klich exhales deeply, relieved combat is over again. "Why does everything want to fight us?" he wonders out loud. "Oooooohhh what does this do?!" he coos as he scrambles to the generator.
"P Z robot guy! Shine some light on this, pretty please?" he begins fiddling with the machine, almost at random. He works on it for as long as it takes, crawling on it, around it, even attempts at going into it until the light turns green.
"Again, again, again! Come P Z! To the computer!" He quickly bounds forward to the terminal, pulling Pangea-Zeta by the metal finger. "We can be friends, yeah?" he asks while he nimbly types away on the computer.

Not trying to hog the checks. For the future, does anyone else have these skills trained? GM, is there time to recover SP again?

![]() |

You are right at the end, so no worries about hogging skill checks.
Klitch fixes the generators and then breaks into the computer with contemptible ease. What he finds is... unexpected.
There are several video logs kept in the archives that tell the true story of the city, planet and people... What you eventually discover reads more like a confession than a history...
Just over 300 years ago on a planet in the Vast, a race of insectile humanoids called ghibranis engaged in a brief but deadly nuclear war between several of its now forgotten nation states. Prior to their cataclysmic conflict, ghibranis paid their respects to an aspect of Damoritosh—a god of war most commonly worshipped by the vesk in modern times. This worship shaped the race into a strong coalition of militarized states, with religious servants of Damoritosh in key advisory positions. The war that destroyed most of the ghibrani race occurred only decades after the Gap, as the addled state of the world’s leaders in the Gap’s aftermath only exacerbating existing tensions.
A small percentage of ghibranis survived the devastation. A powerful force field spared the metropolis of Arkeost the brunt of the nuclear war, but subsequent radiation carried by shifting wind currents wracked the city. Many died, but a sizable population endured. The ghibrani leaders knew the city didn’t have sufficient resources to support all the survivors, so after much discussion, they purposefully engineered several additional minor disasters to trouble the populace. The leaders then seeded rumors that an angry Damoritosh was responsible for this “divine” punishment and devised the creation of a false deity—Mother Touloo—who promised salvation to those ghibranis who gave up the comforts of civilization. Agents planted within the populace spread this false religion, leading a sizeable contingent of ghibranis into the wastelands. Meanwhile, the leaders of Arkeost and their closest family and friends remained behind.
There is nothing more to discover here, but you do have a bit of a decision to make about whether you tell the locals, and if so which (or both)...This affects reporting conditions, and thus possibly future scenarios involving this planet and its people

"The husk ghibrani seem happy and well adapted to the wastes," Hesperrio says after some consideration. "I see no reason to disrupt their lives with this knowledge. For that matter, I do not know what benefit the membrane ghibrani would reap from the knowledge."

![]() |

"I agree about the husk Ghibrani, Hes," Silveras says thoughtfully with a hand on his chin, his gaze directed at nothing in particular. "But, I think the membrane Ghibrani should know. Feels wrong to me if no one on the planet knows; let alone its own people not knowing."

![]() |

"I would side along with Hesperrio, and tell no one. Above my pay grade to decide how to disrupt this century old status. Let's report this to the Venture Captain and get our pay".

![]() |

Two votes tell nobody; one vote for just the membranes; three left to vote. GD6 ends tomorrow, so I'll probably submit in 12-18 hours with whatever is leading the vote at that stage.

![]() |

"Whaaat? We need to tell them both! They should know their history. Who are we to deprive them of the choice? Telling one gives them power over the other. The Starfinders would look bad if the word spread from one group to the other and they found out we withheld it from them."
________
I vote to tell both.

![]() |

"I voted to tell no one, to leave it up to the Venture Captains to decide. But if we do tell the Ghibrani, I think we should tell both".
Still voting to tell no one, but if the vote moves to telling at least one side, then I would vote to tell both.

![]() |

Scarlet is trained in both, but worse pluses.. Coulda have aided if you had needed it maybe :)
"The gods, worship, and all of that is beyond my programming as such I have use for it. I aim for the more technological side of things and the way I see it the Husk are without. The Membrane have a very comfortable way of life and perhaps the Husk have it as well. Doesn't seemf air that tehy have to live out in the hot desert over a decision their ancestors made while these Ghibrani have a modernish civilization. I say we tell em both and give them the option of what to do with the information."

![]() |

"Fair or not, Scarlet, what does telling them do to change that other than possibly start a war? I do not want that on my conscience."

Status,
Klitch - both
Hesperrio - nobody
Scarlet - both
Pangea - nobody
Kimp - nobody
Silveras - membranes
Looks like a slight majority for tell nobody and let management sort it out.
Assuming you are all at least _okay_ with that, I'll go with that.

Concerned about what to do with the knowledge you make your way back to your crashed craft, bidding a farewell to the locals. Surely you will come back again.
After makeshift repairs are made, you are once again in the Drift, heading back to Absalom station where you are ushered into Arvin.
Venture-Captain Arvin applauds your efforts. He commiserates with you about the difficulty of the decision you faced regarding the ghibrani history you learned, but offers neither praise nor condemnation on that front. The Starfinder Society must decide what to do with this information!
And that is a wrap. Your characters are now free to partake in new ventures!
