The decisions to build this character were all geared towards making her the best healer I could, and they just add up to not nearly enough.

I'm wondering about a blended mystic/envoy to handle both.

Although as healing seems to scale with character level that might not be very efficient. Still, even one level in Envoy would help with keeping stamina topped up, and then relying on mystic healing for the more serious damage.

Maybe, but when my character is built to use exclusively spells for damage, the lost of caster level is a huge price to pay. She has not tried to use a weapon since her first adventure.

Next round action if yellow still stands: activate plasma sheath (move action) and slash once.
If yellow is down: use spring attack to close the distance with red without taking an AoO (I assume it has reach) and slash once

The Mystic healing gets more useful at higher levels. Also it isn't needed till later in a combat, or of you have to chain multiple encounters with out any rest.

As someone who tends to play line/tank characters. I still like having a mystic in the party. But healing isn't needed till a few rounds in.

IMO, a bored healer means we are doing thing right :)

Also once you get to fourth you get "Lesser Restoration" and that is always useful. :)

I guess I'm expecting Starfinder to be like Pathfinder again. I'm expecting the feel to be a lot like my grippli ecclesitheurge whose main combat action is to heal people by licking them from 10 feet away.

Well, given the damage Gunnz has been taking, feel free to do some healing on her..

I think she'll just try with withdraw and be less of an obvious antagonist to the big ugly.

Hmm, something odd with that dice tag, I hope the leading - didn't stuff things up.
