I had left my last turn as Diplomacy (Speaking with the rulers of Roesone and Illen), but if we are allowed, then adventuring would be OK with me...or simply head into the next round. Also wanted to ask...it says Medoere has a Lieutenant, not sure if I can use him or not, but if I can I might send him out to adventure!

Your blessing fills an army's soldiers with courage. Each affected unit gains a +1 to all its offensive ratings for the duration of the spell.
Regency Cost: 1 RP/unit
Material Components: 1 GB worth of expendable ritual components.

So I will have blessed my Knights.

In the province I have the following troops:

Battlewise Blood Ability:

Level: Major
Derivation: Anduiras, Azrai
The scion with this ability is a military genius, blessed with an uncanny power to analyze enemy weaknesses, create sound plans of attack, and inspire troops to victory.
Major: Any army the scion leads is far more effective than a similar force under another commander. The scion gains a +2 bonus to their effective character level when determining the EL of a Hero's unit of which they are a part (refer to Chapter Six: Armies and Warfare).

In addition, as long as the scion is on the field of battle, all allied units gain a bonus to morale. This bonus is equivalent to the bonus that the scion would normally provide to a unit under their direct command (+1 bonus to morale for every 5 ranks of Lead).


Divine Aura:

Level: Major, Great
Derivation: All
An intangible mantle of power and nobility surrounds some scions, commanding respect from all they meet.

Major: Influence non-blooded characters. The Divine Aura marks the character as a scion of power. The aura's effect is a +2 bonus to Charisma-based skills.

Enthrall non-blooded characters: The scion can enhance his aura once per day with one round of concentration (a full round action). The scion can enthrall (as per the spell of the same name) any non-blooded creatures.

Great: In addition to the Major effects the scion also gains the following:

The scion's bonus to Charisma-based skills is increased to +4.

Hypnotic pattern/fear non-blooded characters: The scion's aura acts as a hypnotic pattern (as per the spell of the same name) against non-hostile creatures and as a fear spell (as per the spell of the same name) against enemies. This ability affects only non-blooded characters.

Note: I'll let the subversion spell go this time, since you are still learning the rules. But you need to forge a ley line close to where you want to cast the spell.

The Knights of the Dragon march into the Spiderfell, it's commander sure that the worst threat is the Spider. The Knights of the Dragon never return. This has put Gavin Tael in a rage.

The brigand pirates are worse than the Sea Drake. They often run up the skull and crossbones flag, meaning they take no prisoners. Whereas the Sea Drake demands treasure, the pirates hope to raid shipping from the Rich fractured nation of Khinasi. These pirates can be taken care of with a good navy.

Gather Information: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Your spy network may have to train more diligently. It has no information of your precedessor's assassin. He still remains a mystery.

It's interepeted as a Free Action in the book of Regency.


Another question: could the action that was spent in research be used to learn Alter Winds? And could another round of research be used to create a realm spell based on the Alter Winds spell? The objective would be to give Ilien's navy an advantage by controlling the strength and direction of the winds on the battlefield...

Alter Winds would be perfect for a battle spell, not so much as a realm spell. A realm spell affects a province. That's why summoning a legion of the dead is a realm spell and why Alter Winds won't be good as a realm spell.

Ok, fixed the issues. I'm pretty sure we are not sailing away at the moment, so I will focus on the building of my holdings. This should be the second turn that my RP exceeds that needed for an increase to my bloodline, so I have that to look forward to at the end of this turn.

How does one spend regency?

You spend regency on certain domain actions. Like if you Agitate a province, you spend one regency point to upgrade or downgrade it's loyalty. Diplomacy with another realm costs one regency point as well.

For example. Lets say you want to respond to the Declaration of War from Ghoere. You use Diplomacy, 1 GB, and one Regency Point to respond. Actions that cost regency are located on page 49 on the Birthright Rulebook.

Satisfied that war in Roesone has been averted, for the time being, Aglondier is happy to host Lady Barad in his castle.

Roesone has no navy, so I'm not sure how much aid we will be outside of aid money, part of the reason I have not pushed her to the forefront on that.
