I usually treat Linguistics as a literal check, if I don't know a language I attempt to roll with my skill_mod, if I know the language but it's not native, I imagine a +10 bonus or -10 to the check DC. And if I have enough points in Linguistics, a secondary language can be take-10'd as if a fluent language.

Has funny image of the two of them riding along as you study and you mispronounce something making her laugh so hard she nearly falls off the wolf she is riding because of how wrong you got it.

I'm thinking about giving Odak a brother, another character of mine I've made a sheet and profile up for. Not sure if I'll get to play him but he was one of my favourites in past games.

Jared the Sneaker, yeah he's another giant rogue; but he's Odak's younger brother and also another insight into Golian culture.

Sounds interesting actually. Heh, Odak has a soft heart for the prisoners. Can't blame him on that. They do give interesting offers.

Tigerwolf tugs on his cloak holding out a mask to the tall skinny one without a word. Once he takes it she walks off. She motions him to follow as she heads to Odak. She wondered if he would think she was a kid with a weapon to big for herself.

The local Golian tribe are called the Rock-Splitters, not sure whether to take the name literally or figuratively. I suppose the Wolftooth clan does use wolves a lot, while the Rock-Eye Kobolds have rock eyes. So maybe the Golian Tribe to stuff to rocks or use rocks in some way?

Tigerwolf would watch with some amusement as they are told to kiss.

"Make sure it is a proper kiss too. You don't want Odak to make you do it again because you didn't do it right." Chuckles amused by this.

I know, so annoying! Though a lot of it was being on vacation and having horrible internet connections. The WiFi at the place we were staying hardly ever worked, and trying to keep up with work on my phone was a pain in the ass.

I had to go to the local brewpub to get decent internet service. What a sacrifice!

I worked on the Golian file for the last several days reworking the stats and writing the lore and fluff; even did some thinking on the Rock-Splitters clan somewhere in the Savage Hills. I can probably post the Golian info but I might have to keep the Rock-Splitter stuff to GM-know-only until they're used in a mission.

After talking to Greez for a bit, I've decided to take more care about the way I post in these games. No I didn't say anything bad to him or anything, quite the opposite actually. He's been feeling like not many notice him outside of battles and in a way I know what he's thinking. I know there's been a couple of posts where someone's directly talked to or physically interacted with Odak that I didn't even make a passing mention to and honestly I could've written something but didn't think to.

So basically between posts I'm going to make sure to quote or reference any lines of text and dialogue that was directed at Odak and make sure that I make appropriate responses and reactions. Whether it's Tigerwolf's kind words, Dergosh's rapping on Odak's armour...ect.

I'm not passive-aggressively encouraging everyone to follow suit, but given how slow the games run with people lives getting in the way, it wouldn't hurt to spend a couple of minutes to give everyone a nod and not make their interaction posts in vain.

That is a good point Odak, I am sure that I am guilty of reading posts so fast that I miss stuff and responding to the last post on the board.

It's okay Majuba, I know none of us are doing this on purpose. And I actually really like this sub-team that we have. Odak and Greez as the giant brute squad. Tigerwolf and Garmack as Tactical Support, you as our Saboteur and Medic, Dergosh as our mascot.

Whoops! Sorry Karol, didn't see you down there. At least we're having a vacation of a mission; visiting lakes, fighting humans and taking them as souveniers, meeting new people.

Vacations are nice after all. And we have a 'legendary' sea creature to potentially keep eye out for to bring head back of. I think that alone is what I think would make a perfect fishing trip.

[professor]Good News Everyone![/professor]

After some talking and approval from Mercurion, Doctor Majuba has agreed to get out of the awkward phase and become a true Large-sized Orc! So the next time you see him on the battle board he'll be 2x2 squares wide just like Odak and Greez and a bit tougher than before. He still moves the same speed and his reach is unaffected; but at least his height and weight now fully correspond to Large parameters unlike before.
