Sven endures a bit of uncomfortable tingling from the spell but no actual harm. He raises his shield and steps into the melee with the nearer beast and hacks with his enchanted axe.

Avora moans and pushes herself up from the ground, trying to stand. Though her legs threaten to collapse beneath her, she finds her footing and rises. Through a haze of pain, she focuses her thoughts and casts bear's endurance on herself.

"Aww, quit your whining, you're not dead yet." replies Aroden, crawling out of Tik's backpack.

He tries to tap Tikneser with a healing wand...which does nothing. "Hehehehe, OK, maybe you are about to die." sneers Tik's man-faced familiar.

Tiknesr grimaces and considers fleeing but decides to stay on the offensive instead. He pulls a rotten egg out of his pocket and throws it in the middle of his foes, chanting an arcane phrase and then continuing to cackle.

Tik: STND: Cast Stinking Cloud (DC 20) which I believe can cover all foes without hitting us. MOVE: Cackle to continue misfortune.

Sven misses twice against his foe as Avora casts a spell to help save herself. Tik casts a spell threatening to overwhelm the creatures with an awful stench.

With the battle over, Sven quickly retrieves a length of rope and binds the prisoner(s). "Do we have time to question this one?"

"I will also need healing," Avora says. "When my spell wears off, it's going to hurt!"

Kalt's wounds were all healed by Lana's positive energy, paired with the strange healing effects of his fey nature - but he does suggest that the dragonkin might benefit from some healing if the fight is still raging.

The rest of the journey is uneventful though the party does notice that the tide seems to be turning in the Dragon Legion's favor. You are led to Spurhorn's conference room where the surviving Dragon Legion officers await. The triaxian leader known as Commander Pharamol starts to speak once you all enter. "I thank you for the aid. I believe the tide is only turning because of your efforts. However, this won't end as long as General Malesinder is alive. Though there is one problem, while she is formidable enough on her own, she has a pair of guards that make her nigh invulnerable."

"I know how to take care of them without alerting the entire Drakelands army which is why I was rushing back here. Their names are Katar and Garona. Every night at around midnight, the pair sneak off for some.. ahem, R and R. I know where that is, which means we can catch them unawares and neutralize them." Shatha steps forward to add in.

Pharamol nods at the information. "I need you to take out the guards without the whole army coming down on your heads and then you need to kill General Malesinder." He gives the party a few moments to mull it over.

He knew war was hell but Sven frowns, unhappy with the circumstances of their task. "Are these elite guards spellcasters? They must be skilled to make their commander 'invulnerable'."

"Katar is a hybrid as far as I can tell. He wields knives as well as magic. Garona is mighty and nigh invulnerable on her own. It is more that it is extremely difficult to defeat them in the first place, even without having to deal with the general."

"Well, if we can end this thing for good, then let's do it," Kalt responds simply. "Tell us all you can about how to fight these folks - and where to find them when they're distracted - and we'll do the deed."

"They usually run off to a remote clearing about a mile away from the war camp. As soon as the deed is done, contact us with this scroll and we'll take our forces to distract the camp. Then you swoop in and take down the general." Pharamol hands the group a scroll of Sending.

Avora, tired from the fighting, nods her head wearily. She wished that they had more time for her to replenish spells and such, but there was none. What little she had remaining would have to suffice.

I second the motion.

The party takes the directions given to them by Shatha and easily track down the couple at their rendezvous point. The male, dark haired and lithe, knives laying around him. The female, taller, muscled, has a pair of giant gauntlets laying next to her. "You know, we're trying to have some private time here. Oh, nevermind, you're here to take your shot at us." The man states standing up, as he picks up his knives."Don't throw away your shot." The woman replies equipping her gauntlets.

Because of its long duration, Kalt would have cast lead blades before reaching the spot where we expected to find them.
