not that I mind biting the zombie but was there any reason he couldn't use the spear he took our of the jammed door? He placed his reach weapon against the carriage, or was it a long spear he took out of the door?
I'm only asking to understand the rules better,
I couldn't remember if the 5 ft step was considered part of the standard, I guess I should have put that in the ooc

GM Mort |

5ft is part of standard but this whole place is DT so no 5 ft. You can use the spear(short spear) to stab it, you'll do 1d6+str modifier. If you didn't drop your spear after stabbing it you will not threaten at reach and not get that AOO.

GM Mort |

From here on, everything is considered as difficult terrain, it takes 10 ft of movement to move a 5 ft square due to snow. You are unable to charge or take 5 ft steps.

didn't know it was a short spear assumed it was a two handed regular spear and was using the two handed weapon roll, but I did say that he used it and then let go of it, I wasn't planning on using it a second time because I was going to use full attack and all three natural attacks.
I didn't think about it being DT, but of course in snow it would be,
Again, only asking so I understood,

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
yeah, since I said he set down the glaive and used the spear, go ahead and do that, next time I will ask if its a short spear or a regular one ;)
Also, I will probably be in bed when the others post round one, if you would bot me and have him full attack 2 claw and a bite (all three attacks 1d6+6) any zombie within range, that would be wonderful ;)

GM Mort |

Rerolled the damage because you can use a one handed weapon 2 handed. Yes, GM is smart.

GM Mort |

Also, how do you eat a Bacon and Spinach quiche in the same meal as a blueberry muffin? One is savory, one is sweet. Its as bad as having a blueberry muffin and pigs organ soup in the same meal. Oh well, there's no accounting for taste :p
Anyway the bag Kale gave Mr Whiskers contains the muffin and yeah Einar managed a two muffin takeaway.

Robert Henry |

it was ok that your botted him, especially since I asked someone too, I was just entertained by the fact that I was sitting here posting slow and you beat me to it.
While I was sleeping my mother in law, wife and daughter went shopping and they were showing me different outfits they bought so I was distracted ;)

GM Mort |

If you want to burn bodies, an hour of work. Chopping firewood, setting stuff on fire...
Though in RL it really takes much longer

Mr. Whiskers |

Looks like I have been off by one on my to-hit rolls. I forgot that Small size gives a bonus to hit.
I've fixed that now.

GM Mort |

I owe you a random encounter, but I'll roll the dice secretly, so I can tweak. No matter what the mod and random number table says, I'm NOT throwing a CR4 creature at a lv 1 party.
Also ya Mr Whiskers has taken his turn in withdrawing so he gets no turn on this round. As long as you move before the tatzylwyrm, feel free to take your actions unless you are waiting for another player to do something.

Mr. Whiskers |

Next round vs. Ice Elemental, he will try to move back. Withdraw if needed to avoid the AoO, otherwise just a move.
After that he will start trying the Daze cantrip.
Going to bed soon. I suspect the combat will be over by the time I wake up.

Mr. Whiskers |

Dang, hadn't read the spell in forever.
Guess I will either continue to be useless or use the wand.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
a little confused by the combat rounds, so fighting the lizard Einar raged the first round of combat, and did not attack the second round because Cadence dropped it. did the Elemantal attack immediately after the second round, so Einar could rage the second round and rage the first round of the combat with the elemental or did he stop so now he's fatigued?

Crummock-i-Phail |

The GM said that the current encounter happens 'After CDG of the taztylwyrm and effects of rage have worn out', so I would assume that you are okay to rage again :-)

Mr. Whiskers |

Isn't that bad. I could always blow one of my real spells.

oops, I read it but it didn't translate to the brain, I got so excited to be whacking something else that I forgot, thanks!

GM Mort |

Ah. That's fine then. I didn't know who was wearing the shoes. Not that it makes a difference in this case.

Crummock-i-Phail |

Ah, well, I had made them, and no-one presented a well-reasoned argument (either in or out of character) as to why they should have them instead, so I assumed that I was wearing them...

GM Mort |

A to B : 1h
B to C: 30 min
C to D: 30 min
Just noting passage of time, since every 3 h I need to roll to see if you get a random encounter.

Mr. Whiskers |

Since we made the check, what is Winter Touched?
Fey we know. I (as a player) am unfamiliar with Winter Touched.

GM Mort |

Chief among the allies of Baba Yaga and the White Witches of Irrisen are the winter-touched, a special breed of fey immune to the harsh weather and low temperatures of the frozen north. Willingly pledging themselves to a wholly evil life, these creatures undergo a complex ritual called the Winter Rite, in which they accept a sliver of ice into their hearts that infuses their bodies with the same supernatural winter perpetuated by the White Witches of Irrisen. The resulting transformation gives the fey’s skin a sickly bluish cast marked with spidery white veins like hoarfrost on glass. These evil fey can channel the power of winter into their attacks, slowing their victims with numbing cold. The winter-touched universally delight in spreading the influence of the White Witches, carrying out the wills of the witches who performed their Winter Rites. The winter-touched display a chilling loyalty that borders on fanaticism—a devotion all but guaranteed given the White Witches’ ability to fatally pierce the hearts of those who fail them with the same slivers of ice the fey so willingly accepted.
Rebuild Rules: The creature’s alignment changes to evil and it gains the cold subtype; Special Attacks: Numbing Cold (Su) Any creature hit by a winter-touched creature’s attacks (natural or weapon) must succeed at a Fortitude save or be staggered for 1 round. The save DC is Constitution-based.

GM Mort |

Also Cadence:
As long as you hold your clan, house, or party’s flag, members of that allegiance within 30 feet who can see the flag (including yourself ) gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws against fear and charm effects. You must hold the flag in one hand in order to grant this bonus.
You need to be waving it(having it tied to your weapon counts, but you must wield your weapon), for everyone to get the bonus. You can't plant it on the ground.

![]() |

She points up with her guisarme, so the others can still take advantage of the flag this round, but looks for a place to plant it next round so that she can fire her bow.
I actually know that. That's why I held on to it this round. If I plant it, no one gets the bonus. On the other hand, sometimes you need to give up the flag in order to get the job done.
Does this make sense?

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
Mort, I'm not thinking, I forgot I need to keep loading the sling, and I didn't roll fort in the last round. I just took full attack. Is it ok on my next turn if I roll fort for the last round and draw a bullet. if I fail the roll or if that's not OK, I will move action and draw a sling in the third round and then attack, I would just like to be drawing the round before in case I fail a fort save.
Thanks for the healing Cadence, I will change my HP after the fey attack again.

GM Mort |

Doesn't make any diff since you passed. So heck. You made your saves and loaded your sling previously, when they shot you non lethally. This fight is pretty much over anyway, you can take your turn again.

GM Mort |

Lol. You can roll 6 attacks.(3 will be AOOs). You'll need to kill the sprite (AC 17, hp 10, within those 6 attacks). You can start rolling in gameplay thread now.

Mr. Whiskers |

Assuming no one has an idea of how to redeem the fey, Mr. Whiskers will accept that it should be CDGed.
Can move on when enough have said "can't save it."
