Mr. Whiskers |

I expect that we will kill some of the bandits.
Cloak of the Yeti is a great idea.
I am strongly against splitting the group.

SURPRISE DOT FROM A LION, SUCKAS~!
>:D
Awesome! What brings you here, TL?
Hmm

couple of ideas: Cadence gives the lady her outfit and she wears the cloak of the yeti. We give Ten - Penny the choice of staying here, or wearing the bear rug turned cloak back to town.
We have used two blankets on the horses to keep them warm:
Do we:
Kill the thieves?
Send them into the cold with no gear?
Take them to town with no gear?
Take their oath to be good and leave them here?
Leave them here with guards, send three people to town on the horses and come back with supplies and guards or a the task of what to do with them.
I'll happily give the lady my outfit and wear the cloak.
I'm okay with giving Ten - Penny the chance to stay here.
Let's get the opinion of these women about the bandits and save as may as we can.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
earlier I commented to Mort about the lady judging the thieves, she said her NPC's don't interfere like that unless it's an emergency, but if we are asking the lady's and Ten-Penny's opinion about the thieves or about their behavior, We could ask the Lady which ones were at the raid and which ones actually did the killing.
But if we don't execute them what are we going to do with them, lock them in the cellar till we get back? Pay ten-Penny to be their warden?
Edit: or march them through the snow wrapped in blankets?

GM Mort |

My take on NPC interference, is that this AP is your show. Basically it's your party. Thus my GMing style is that an NPC will nor intervene unless a PC is about to die. Unless mod states otherwise.
Also, a raid is a chaotic situation. Bear in mind humans do not remember things well when threatened. Scientific studies on crime victims is that people remember that a knife was pointed at them, but when asked of how their attackers looked like, they can't remember. Its like their memory blocked out everything except the knife.
Even if you manage bring them back to Heldren alive, successfully, if no one speaks for them, they will be hanged for the murders of Lady Argentea's convoy.

Mort,
I agree that the ambush would have been chaotic. How they treated her after that is something that they would remember. It isn't interfering if what they do is give us information.
What you wrote sounds a lot like "just kill them and be done with it." Is that your intent?
If so, just have none of them have any redeeming qualities and that is what we do. We can just breeze through it with a summary post from you of something like "None of the bandits shows any remorse or hesitation for what they have done. You get [fill in the blank] additional information before executing all of them."

Mort, Bret expressed my thoughts well.
Tacticslion, are you saying the kobold pointed you here? Now... how did he find us, and why didn't he announce himself? The mystery deepens. Still, it's nice having a reader.
Hmm

Mort, Bret expressed my thoughts well.
Hmm
I'm good either way, Also I'm good taking their oath, if we can tell it's honest, and they can become the new Sentinels, they can wear black and we can build a wall of ice to keep out the whitewalkers fey.
edit we could leave Ten-Penny in charge...

Mr. Whiskers |

I would accept Einar's proposal for replacing the sentinels as a solution as well.

GM Mort |

With the death of their leader, they throw themselves at your mercy, saying it was all Rokhar's fault. They are willing to do anything you ask them to do to save their own lives, since the only other alternative is death(quick - by your hands), or a slow one if they are kicked out in the snow. They have been interrogating Lady Argentea(none too gently) at the orders of their boss for details of how Taldor nobility function, Taldan military structure and details of her life. They have not been allowed to do anything more then giving her a few punches and kicks if she does not comply.
Crummock thinks that even though they put the blame on Rokhar, they were fully in agreement with his plans when they were carried out. They might be having second thoughts on whether kidnapping Lady Argentea was all that a good idea now...
How would the party like to proceed?

GM Mort |

If asked about what they think about attacking Lady Argentea's convoy, they all agree it was a bad bad idea now.

Mr. Whiskers |

Sounds like at least some of them may be redeemable.
I would say leave them here, take Ten Penny and Lady Argentea back to Heldren. They have enough food to survive I assume. Visit again after the fey are hopefully defeated and if they have been good institute Einar's plan.
Willing to go with other suggestions. I would prefer we give Ten Penny time away from them before deciding what she wants.
The above post by Mort would have been fine in gameplay.

![]() |

If we think they can give their oath honestly I'd like to take it. I'd also like to do watches, Let's put Mr Whiskers on watch first.

GM Mort |

The above info was a take 10 sense mo by Crummock, anyway. I asked TL in to gawk. Both of us share a game. And me be lizard.

GM Mort |

Do you want to Fast Foward till morning, or?
Btw I'll be out tomorrow, so my activity will take a dip.

GM Mort |

Do you have the memory of a goldfish?
A narrow game trail winds its way through the trees and undergrowth here. Hoofprints mark the underlying snow, leading in both directions. The party hears a voice in the distance, ”I am Sssssswiftfoooot, zee talking sssstag. Good day travellerssss, what bringssss you to zesssse icy woods?”They see a white stag walking towards them. The dogs start salivating.
We'll say Ten Penny and Lady Argentea are riding. Who else wants to ride, go ahead, but those horses aren't combat trained.

Tacticslion |

Mort, Bret expressed my thoughts well.
Tacticslion, are you saying the kobold pointed you here? Now... how did he find us, and why didn't he announce himself? The mystery deepens. Still, it's nice having a reader.
Hmm
Actually, I'm saying your GM did via PM.
But in as obtuse and awkward a way as I can.
But the kobold is funny, too.
So far, I've read: some of the posts since mine. I'm planning on starting over, but, uh, timing is a thing. :D

Mr. Whiskers |

Seeing the creatures, Mr. Whiskers rushes forward through the snow and casts his Burning Hands spell, causing a cone of fire to envelope the two creatures.
"Melt, foul creatures!"
Burning Hands: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 Reflex DC 14 for half
Move, cast burning hands, expend arcane reservoir point for +1 caster level
Edit:
Sorry, meant for this to be in gameplay. I've copied it over there now.

TL, you're welcome no matter how you got here. I'll give you a spoiler.
In this game... I sing. I know this comes as a shock to you.
Hmm

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
Do you have the memory of a goldfish?
Why yes, yes I do!
So we can collect the hide and meat from the Swiftfoot, or was the stag actually sentient?
Would anyone be offended if we take the snake tail hide off of the two fey? I realize their sentient and would never consider eating them but snake hide is really nice.

GM Mort |

No, the moment you finish off those snake tailed things, since they are made of ice, they shatter.

GM Mort |

I'm having internet problems here, so I'd prefer to stop here for a bit as opposed to moving you guys to Heldren. Hopefully when my net gets better by tomorrow morning I can move you guys.

Tacticslion |

I got my blackbelt test tonight... and passed! I'm a shodan now. And am off to bed.
Woo~! Go, Hmm~!
(I broke your news in FaWtL, hope you don't mind, but I was excited for you!)

GM Mort |

Mobile works, but everyone is tapping their phone as mobile hot spot such that its laggy as fk and I keep losing posts...

Mr. Whiskers |

Following the link, it looks like they are making good progress and it shouldn't be too much longer until your connection is good. Probably just after I go to bed tonight. :)
We can wait.

Crummock-i-Phail |

Last call to claim any of the 'consumables' from the loot sheet (at the very least, we should probably hang onto the alchemist's fire, and Mr Whiskers may be interested in scribing some of the scrolls...).

GM Mort |

Its easier in the morning as less people are awake yet, but last night posting was like swimming through a pool of treacle...
If 80% of the disruption has been fixed, I seem to be the unlucky 20%....

Mr. Whiskers |

I intend to post more in a short while. Not at home right now.

GM Mort |

Fair enough. At class anyway, so I'm in no hurry now. I can respond to it during break. The NPCs are not omniscient, so they do NOT know the bandits have sworn a vow to keep the region safe. They will abide by your judgement, since that is what your chose, but they need to be informed of the full details.

Mr. Whiskers |

Edited my post in the mayors office.
Anyone else who wants to speak for the bandits, for good or ill, go ahead. Mr. Whiskers isn't giving them a free pass, just a second chance.

GM Mort |

Did some edits on the last post. I can't really give you more then that, because of WBL issues.
For lodge use - you can order normal CRB weapons, any non magical gear that can be bought in town.

Mr. Whiskers |

Would it be alright if we just said we brought what supplies were needed without getting into fine detail? I would rather focus on the plot than bookkeeping of how to re supply the lodge.
