Grrrroooorrllll! he snarls in frustration as he contemplates that the flail might not be the best weapon to be using under these conditions as by it's nature it is difficult to control and tends to pull one off balance.

Garrasay tries to get the attention of the thing on his left while Mordred and Steinolf take care of the one they have surrounded. Whatever these things were, he had underestimated their danger.

He switched the grip on his flail, freeing up his other hand. As the ball and chain whirled about, he expertly blended its movements with his own magical casting, blending a spell of protection for himself into the attack.

I was looking it up and staggered doesn't stack, So I'm making the assumption that I can still Attack. because I am choosing the Disabled condition of diehard. I would like to go before Steins turn. I think I am the only person that could have taken a hit like that in our group. lol - If I cant attack please disregard the post.

Damn that hurt...

Spitting up blood after the creature hit his chest Morderd could feel a rib plunging into his lung. Frothing blood only confirmed what he already thought. I'm a dead man. barely holding himself upright even through the pain. Morde takes his greataxe and points it at the last ice creature. "That it, either you or me." (swift action challange). Spitting out blood on the ground, morde puts everything he has into his last attack knowing it could be his last.

Garrasay snarls again "Ggggrrawwwwwll! Curse this snow and ice!"
He takes Petal and tosses it onto Mordred's shoulder. "Tend to his wounds."

Petal rustled indignantly for a moment eliciting a barked order from Garrasay "Just do it! RRrrrrr"

The little tangle of vines crawled down Mordred's arm and started plucking off all the berries from itself and placing them in Mordred's hand. There are a wide variety of berries on Petal resembling everything from strawberries and raspberries to blueberries and the like. "Eat those, they will stop your bleeding. I know nothing about healing. If anyone has any skill, help me tend to Gavinia. grrrrr."

He tries to assist anyone who knows what they are doing, otherwise he just gives it a try himself.

Morde contunes to wait patiently while the Lady takes care of herself, knowing that when she way done it would be his turn. At least I hope...

After finding a proper resting place for us, Steinolf will build a fire to help keep us all warm and then he will keep a look out for any possible troubles.

“I am not skilled with healing but I will help keep us warm and safe.” after building a fire he comes back to the group. “I am sorry that I did not see what was so obvious. I don’t know if its the snow or the fact of meeting a fellow Ulfen, but my eyes and mind have not been as sharp to see these traps. I will do better moving forward. I also think that if something seems like a trap we should try to spring it from a distance. Rest up, I will keep watch.”

River fight was at 10:15am on the 18th, I woke at 12:15pm, so 24 hours of rest takes us to 12:15pm the next day. Because we're waiting so long, we can do 3 watches of 4 hours per night, which will let others get sufficient sleep. I forget if we had any ruling on what performing Long Term Care actually means for the person doing it. "Light Activity" is mentioned there and nowhere else as far as I can see. We should rest the following night so it probably won't make a difference either way. *shrug* I can care for up to 6 people, so I'll also check Steinolf's injuries during the night.

Heal: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 2 = 24

So Steinolf recovers 2hp, Mordred recovers 4hp from resting.

My Perception check for the night, which will probably have some sort of penalty because I'm doing other stuff.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

At daybreak, Gavinia prepares her spells and casts them both on Mordred.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

--

So if we find enough berries, we give 8 to Mordred and 4 to me, then at 12:15pm on the 19th we should be at:
Steinolf: 11/12
Mordred: 8/13
Gavinia: 7/9
and I think the others were at full.

Then if we rest until the next morning (the 20th), we'll each get another 1hp overnight and Garrasay and I will have spells again.

That's assuming nothing attacks in the night or tomorrow, of course. Does that sound good to everyone?

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

yes that sounds good to me.

Morde has a restless night, not seeming to find a comfortable. he sleeps when told, but otherwise suffers stoically.

"Thank you for your help, Gavinia." and nods his thanks towards Garrasay as one warroir to another.

So you're gonna stay here until what hour? What day? I know you need health, but do you think it's a good idea to wait so long? And I'm assuming you're doing this before you cross the ice.

I think we should wait until the 20th. We're probably healed enough noon on the 19th, but we're out of healing spells, so another unlucky fight would be bad.
I guess we could perhaps travel a bit on the afternoon of the 19th. Cross the river if the defenses haven't been reset and see what those legs are at least (if they're still there)

The snow falls continuously as you are setting up camp and tending to everyone's wounds for multiple days. The temperatures never seem to get lower than current and the weather never seems to change. Luckily no encounters occur during your time camping.

The date is 4713 AR on Fireday, 20th Earstus at 8:00 am - current moon cycle: first quarter
The location is The Border Wood - Trail

Once we are all ready to continue on.

“Before we cross I would like to see if the ice on the water is safe enough for us to travel across.” pointing to the water under the ice, “If the ice were to break and one of us went under, the current would pull us down river and no doubt drown and freeze.”

Survival to check the ice: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

“Looks safe to me.” Steinolf continues across the frozen water.

Can you be more descriptive on how you cross? Quickly, slowly?

Steinolf, roll an acrobatics.

"Wait!, Morde quickly calls out when Steinolf crosses." Morde gets his rope out; cursing himself for not thinking about it sooner. "we should tie to each other before crossing." whipping his rope out as fast as he can. silently groaning at the soreness of his ribs. he will try to throw one end to stein.

I don't know what is the point of this though, the bandits have probably had their way with the poor miadien.

I was a little late to post otherwise I would have suggested it sooner.

Steinolf begins walking across as he would normally cross a road. As he is on the frozen water he hears Mordred call out to him. “What’s up?”
