Garrasay lets out a grumbly sigh as he reluctantly moves into the room and swings his flail at the blue bandit.

His reluctance is manifest in the half hearted attempt. He swings slowly and wide, smashing a splintery chunk out of the nearby table. This gives the bandit more than enough opportunity to avoid the attack and hopefully a little more time to rethink his decision to fight.

I know he didn't hit me but I'm a little concerned about that cough, so thought I'd mention he's supposed to be down.Kishai moves in, frustrated that they didn't surrender swings hard and critically wounds the man. After continuously giving the raiders a chance to surrender, Kishai assumes that the others will agree to accept the half-orc's plea. Just in case of any additional trouble she moves back into the main room and stands near the bottom of the stairs to keep an eye on the situation.
If still in combat, double move action. If combat ends then just walking :P
She calls quietly over to Mordred and Gavinia "Get her to tell us what is in these other rooms, so there are no more surprises. Even if there's no more raiders down here there might be things that will help us out when we run into the boss man."
Trusting they have her under control she mostly watches the staircase in case anything upstairs has heard them.

Gavinia steps forward and kicks the half-orc's shortsword backwards.
"I am glad someone has decided to surrender before being knocked out." Gavinia remarks matter-of-factly. "You must be Penny. We will let you go if you answer our questions satisfactorily. Firstly, who else is in the lodge now?"
As she answers, and the others come to keep watch on Penny, Gavinia starts going around and stabilizing the fallen bandits where possible (also ensuring their weapons are safely out of reach.)

Garrasy shakes his shaggy head, leaving Petal to cling tightly to him "rrrRggg. Its nice to see someone has a little sense left in them."
He helps Gavinia tend to the wounded, though most of his assistance is merely moving people around for her.
"We should be quick, if there is a necromancer upstairs, he has no doubt heard the commotion and is preparing for us. rRrrhhgg"

Kishai hasn't left her post, staring up the stairs as she talks over her shoulder to Garrasay. "Agreed. We can search down here later for information and equipment, but we should at least find out if there's any other raiders before we head up. Don't want to get caught on the stairs between two groups."

Kishai does leave her post just long enough to help Gavinia with any bandits that seem to be in more difficult shape.

The woman responds to the question, "As far as I'm aware Rohkar and Argentea. You can find him upstairs. I don't want to have anything to do with whatever foul mess he's gotten himself into. You can find the woman down there." She points to the bear rug on the floor.

Back guarding the stairs again, Kishai asks "So he's upstairs and she's down. What is in the remaining rooms on this floor?"

Garrasay |

"Rrrrrr. We need to free the lady first. Outfit her with some winter clothing and send her to the stables to get a horse. If anything happens to us she at least has a chance of escape. gGgrrrrgr"
Garrasay heads over to the bear rug and pulls it aside. As he moves the vines creep across his shoulders so they are always on the same side as Penny as if they are keeping a keen eye on her, so to speak.

Kishai |

"I know she's our reason for being here, but is it really wise to free her while Rokhar is still active? It increases her chance of escape but increases her danger as well."
Kishai turns to look at Penny. "I understand your desire to retain your 'stuff', but so far you've given a couple easy answers after attacking one of ours. I think you might need to do more in order to convince us that you are safe to let go fully equipped and able to fight."

Garrasay |

Garrasay growls without saying anything for a moment as he pondered the objections "Grrrrrrrr".
Petal climbed onto his head and rustled around his ears for a moment more before he spoke:
"If things go poorly, I don't want the lady trapped in her prison. Our plan was to free her and regardless of what happens to us she should, if nothing else, be given that chance at escape."
He gestures in a conciliatory manner with a hairy arm towards the trap door "I am fine with whatever provisions you want to improve her safety, but I won't leave her locked in her cell. I would be satisfied with unlocking the door and telling her to stay put for the time being if either of you find that satisfactory. Rrrrgggrg"

"That's a fair compromise. Hopefully we finish off the man upstairs and then can safely escort and guard her, but if we never make it back down she at least has a chance to get out herself, and if she remains down there for the time being any remaining raiders who return will be less suspicious than if she's wandering around the stables."

Gavinia Hornsten |

Gavinia finishes her ministrations and addresses Penny again.
"The bandits we spoke to earlier mentioned a blue creature with a hat - if it is not in the lodge, do you know where it is now?"

Mordred listens to the others talk while trying to look outside the windows, not seeing any immediate threat he carefully trys to watch the rogue letting the others take the lead.

"I heard some of the men saying they keep seeing Rohkar go outside and meet up with a strange blue creature but I don't think any of them know what it is. I wasn't with them when they raided a caravan the other day but they said it lead the charge and gave out orders. I haven't seen it personally but you can see some of it's strange foot prints just outside."

"I worry that Rokhar has heard us and is preparing upstairs. Let's check on Lady Argentea quickly and figure out what to do with Penny. Unless I'm needed for a lock or something I'll be staying here watching the stairs."
While watching, she prepares an extract of cure light wounds 1 min to prepare

To Penny:
"Very well, we will take a look at them. I suppose this means you don't know anything about any ritual either, or the cause of this weather. Is there anything you can tell us about Rokhar? I'm afraid we will need to restrain you while we defeat him."

Once the trapdoor is open, Gavinia peers down. If the lady is restrained she will climb down and cut her free from her bonds.
"Lady Argentea? We are here to rescue you. We still need to defeat the chief bandit - it will be safer for you to remain here until we do so."

GM Deadly Secret |

You find the trap door is not locked and you open it up. Gavinia climbs down the ladder into a dark cellar. She finds the lady unconscious on the ground. When you wake her she looks panicked at first but then eases up as you speak to her. She doesn't really respond except nods ok.
Penny says, "Nope, don't know nothing about a ritual and to be honest, I'm not very fond of this snow."

Morderd pulls out a rope, "Should we tie her up or let her go? I don't relish getting into a fight with either her being around, or free." looking at the Half-orc, "No offense, Miss. But which would you perfer."

Gavinia Hornsten |

Gavinia hands the lady some food and drink, and lights a torch (asking for one from above if there's none down here)
"Here, eat and drink. We are going to find Rhokar now. If we are unsuccessful, you should try to flee. Two of our number are on guard outside the lodge, they can help you back to civilisation."
Climbing back up, Gavinia answers Mordred. "I think it is best to restrain her for now. I have some other questions, although they can wait until Rhokar is dealt with. Once the lodge is secure, there will be time to decide what to do."
