Aishe Grynne |

It's been awhile since Igmar posted, and he hasn't responded to my personal message. Since I know a couple of you are in another game with him, I would appreciate if one of you could give him a gentle reminder to post in this game as well. :)
I withdrew from the Falcon's Hollow game he started to run, so I don't know whether or not he's still posting there.

Hey everybody. I'm soooo incredibly sorry for the past week. I'm on a work trip and had no idea I'd be so busy, but this is literally the first time I've been at a computer since Monday. I'm still traveling but things really should be less busy now. Again, I'm very very sorry!

Cervin Kelinson |

I'm out for Canadian thanksgiving too, and may have slower responses over the next week as I'll be on vacation and then at a conference. But I should manage a post a day without hassle.

Aishe Grynne |

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been posting daily - things have gotten a little hairy for me since last week, and don't look like they're going to settle down until next week at the earliest. Until then I won't be able to check the game postings or post reliably - I can only beg forgiveness and ask that the GM run my character as an NPC until then. :(

I've lost track, but does the party have any healing resources left? If the party is looking to stay the night in the lodge, let me know if there are any plans for a watch or to explore the remaining untouched rooms, and I can post a summary of the night's activities.
If rest is the only way to revive Daegan and Yagello (using Igmar's cure light wounds), then I'd like to move along that path quickly so we don't leave those two unconscious for very long.

Cervin Kelinson |

I think we're completely out of healing resources, but maybe Igmar has a trick up his sleeve.
After introductions to the Lady I assume that all those still upright will do a complete top to bottom search of the lodge and bed down for the night.

Igmar Cratebearer |

I have no tricks unfortunately—I'm out of spells until the next day.

Arkady Szriakou |

I have a question for the group:
Arkady is a rather specialized build, and will take some time to really be useful. I am concerned that I may have overspecialized, and will not have as much fun as I might like, and not really contribute a lot.
I also realize our group has no rogue, so I'm wondering if it might be helpful to send the wizard on his way and bring in a rogue type character.
Any thoughts?

Cervin Kelinson |

I sympathize on this because I've played my fair share of wizards and the first two levels are frustrating. This is compounded by the fact that this format will take months for you to get any kind of depth of spells.
Arkady is an awesome character who does have a ton of useful abilities, but that said I have no issue with you swapping out. It's a game, and games are meant to be fun. And a rogue would add some depth we need.

Igmar Cratebearer |

I am in support of whatever would make your playing experience better. If your concern is that we feel Arkady isn't useful enough, then certainly don't worry about that. But if your enjoyment is suffering, feel free to switch.

Reign of Winter GM |

Before the party heads out, I wanted to ask the group for some feedback.
It's been two weeks since Aishe last posted, and this seems like an ideal time for the character to part ways from the group. I'd rather no run NPCs indefinitely, and if Aishe ever comes back we could always write her back into the plot (by catching up with the party).
We've still got five characters, and quite a breadth of skills, so I don't think we need to recruit another player at this time.
Any thoughts/concerns?

Igmar Cratebearer |

Sounds good to me.

Yagello |

It sounds like a good plan to me as well, though I'll miss Aishe's character.
It's funny how things work out sometimes. We started the campaign with three female adventurers, and Yagello was constantly worrying about them coming to harm and what not. Now we'll be left with an all male party, and Yagello will feel some regret over how things worked out. It's definitely one of those "be careful what you wish for" moments.

Cervin Kelinson |

Yeah, Aishe is a great addition and I'm really hoping her player returns. He's also in another game with me, and is missed. This is the best solution though since it keeps things open for him.

Daegan Corsmeir |

That all seems fine to me. It does lock Arkady in as our main arcane support (not to knock Igmar's skillful use of his own magic), if he did want to switch. Hopefully Aishe will find her way back to us, and free up that role. Of course, it would be a shame to lose her regardless, though I don't find myself worrying overmuch about that. I can sympathize with things getting hectic IRL.

Reign of Winter GM |

Daegan rightly pointed out the incongruity in me allowing Cervin to turn a cold iron battle axe into a great axe, but not allowing the cold iron daggers to be re-cast into anything but light melee weapons.
Rather than invalidate a bunch of posts, I'm going to keep these conflicting decisions, with the explanation that Isker used most of the town's cold iron in forging the great axe, leaving little leftover to make any other larger weapons.
Sorry for the confusion, and thanks to Daegan for pointing this out!

Arkady Szriakou |

That sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to me. On that topic, I completely forgot about that when doing my posts. I had intended to get a cold iron dagger if possible. Did we have to pay anything to have them sized properly?

Reign of Winter GM |

You may have noticed that I didn't post over this past weekend. I wanted to let all of you know that I have more plans than usual over the next couple of weekends, so it will be unlikely that I will be posting on the weekends until December.
I hope that it doesn't slow the game down too much, but I will be posting during the week fairly regularly, as normal.

Cervin Kelinson |

Bahahaha. I've repurposed this name from before (I'm bad for that) and my wife -constantly- called him Cervix in our game. You'd think I'd learn from my lesson but I hate coming up with names. :D
