Background (Edited 30MAY13):

--------------------
Growing up as a child near the small, rural village of Heldren in Taldor, there was nothing unusual about Aishe. Her father, a retired half-elf mercenary from the far north, and her mother, a Taldan woman with whom he had fallen in love decades ago, maintained a farm to sustain themselves and their family. Being the youngest child and only daughter, Aishe spent her childhood fighting with her larger and stronger brothers, playing in the fields on the edge of the Briarwood near her home village, and learning to help with work around her parent's farm. Perhaps her father’s elven ancestry ran deeper in her veins than in those of her brothers, given her exotic looks and keen senses, but beyond that she was nothing extraordinary.

However as she approached puberty, the little voices started whispering things to her, at first in her dreams while Aishe was asleep, but soon she was hearing things in the woods that her brothers could not. Strange songs murmured to her from out of the trees, or she would go missing for hours in the forest without realizing that she had been gone. Wolves and other creatures would follow her home, but without harming the child or any of the livestock, watching her from the edge of the fields before disappearing back into the Briarwood.

Her parents, worried by their only daughter's increasingly erratic behavior, consulted the village priest for help, fearing that Aishe was somehow cursed or bewitched. However it was the crone of the village, Old Mother Theodora, who finally told the Grynnes what was happening to their daughter - she was a sorceress, and the old, wild magic of her distant ancestors was rising in her blood. Unable to do anything else for Aishe, her parents agreed to apprentice her to Theodora, a witch of some small ability herself, so that their daughter might learn to control her new found magic.

--------------------
Appearance (Edited 02JUN13):

--------------------
Aishe is a fair-skinned half-elf girl with hazel eyes and long, curling red hair. She is only of moderate height and weight, with good reflexes and exotic looks, something that is reflected in the way she moves - gracefully and with unconscious poise. Her clothing is the same as for any other village girl in Taldor, favoring subdued greens and darker colors over brighter, more feminine choices, however. While Aishe is not unaware of how her exotic looks attract attention from the young men of the village, she has little interest in playing the coquette, and rarely bothers with the effort of unnecessarily prettying herself up.

Progression:

--------------------
Although Aishe will develop primarily as a sorceress, the intention is to take a few levels of ranger to round out her abilities, and to fit in with the idea of her being sylvan blooded - the ranger's skills and abilities help with making her a wilderness sorcerer. Why didn't I just make a druid, you ask? Heck, who wants to do things the easy way? :)
