Just FYI, I've updated my character sheet to reflect the penalties to my AC, saves, etc. for the sickened and fatigued conditions, so if you make any checks for me, don't apply them again. ;-)
Oh, and I'm now medium encumbered due to the strength penalty. This is going to make the snow ever so much fun.

Reign of Winter GM |

Truth be told, it is not a huge spoiler. Even the characters have a right to be suspicious at this point.
I put it there as a reminder to myself for later to confirm some rules later, if anyone is interested. I apologize for being vague, but the real spoiler would be if I mentioned the specific rules in question.

Reign of Winter GM |

First, I apologize for my delays in posting for the past few days. My computer died this week, and I'm working on a temporary machine for now, so my updates will be sporadic.
Secondly, I will be away for a couple of weeks during the holidays. I may will certainly post if I have time, but that will not be likely. Therefore, do not expect any posts from me from December 22 until January 4. I will definitely be coming back, though, so be sure to come back in the new year!

Igmar Cratebearer |

Enjoy your break!

GM/Others:
How do people feel about getting Pathfinder Society credit for our running of this AP? We're able to do it in "Adventure Mode," which means that we play it as we have been but can apply the Chronicle Sheets to existing or new characters. Just a thought!

Reign of Winter GM |

I certainly have no problem with completing the paperwork, if you are interested. The group is nearly done the sanctioned content for the first volume, I'll let you know when we get to that point and I can issue the sheets then (once I figure out how to do it).
Just a reminder, I'll be heading out on holidays, so despite the exciting combat, I'll be posting less frequently for the next two weeks. I'll post when I can, though.

Arkady Szriakou |

I'd appreciate PFS chronicles as we play, particular the first one. I always have new characters I want to play that like to start at level 2 due to multiclassing or other oddities. ;-)
As to the how, I'm pretty sure that you can just fill them out by hand then scan and email them. If you don't have a scanner, there are methods to annotate the PDF and save a new version, but I'm not sure how those work.

Igmar Cratebearer |

Woohoo! Glad to have you back!

Yagello |

Hey guys,
I just wanted to share some exciting real life news with all of you. My wife and I welcomed our third child, Aaron, into the world yesterday morning! He clocked in at 9 pounds, 9 ounces, so the doctor was really glad he had decided to order a C-section! Mom and baby are doing really well.
My posting might be a little more sporadic over the next couple of days, but I should still be able to post daily as my mother-in-law is helping us out and I'm off from work for the next 10 days.

Igmar Cratebearer |

Congrats! That's very exciting!

Cervin Kelinson |

So I'm gonna try to poach from this group like Igmar did. Anyone wanna do Wrath of the Righteous? I'm going to run a pbp game with three RL friends and would like to fill out with a few goodly PbP folks. Might as well start here since this group rocks.

Igmar Cratebearer |

I can attest that this group does indeed rock, but alas, I am already playing in another WotR game. Sorry!

Reign of Winter GM |

As some of you may have noticed, Daegan has stopped posting. I've been in contact with him, and he's said that he is likely too busy to regularly post. I will try and post on his behalf for the immediate future, and will eventually write him off when there is an opportunity.
In the meantime, I wanted to ask the group on how everyone feels about the party size. We've got a pretty good group of regular posters now, so we don't necessarily have to recruit a replacement at this point, although we don't have a dedicated healer at this point.

Cervin Kelinson |

Although I'm happiest in a four person group, the lack of a dedicated healer is a pain. So I'm a soft yes on further recruitment but willing to defer to the rest of the group.

Cervin Kelinson |

Funny story, I run a Rise of the Runelords group in person, and after losing a member and failing to recruit a fourth (we live in a small town) I've had a group of three with no dedicated healer for three full chapters. All the healing has been done by a rogue with use magic device and a lot of wands. I have no idea how they're still alive.
EDIT: I do not recommend that appraoch for our group. ;)

Yagello |

I'm a bit torn on this subject as well. I like the dynamics of our current group, but it's going to be very hard without a dedicated healer. Yagello has already gotten pretty beat up in each of our last few combats!
I vote cautiously for a new party member and if possible, a woman for the role playing aspects with Yagello. ;)

Reign of Winter GM |

I actually run a Rise of Runelords group in person as well with no healer! They have made do with the Bard and Druid using lots of wands, but the running joke has been the first player to have their character die will roll a healer next.
All right, I will start a new recruitment thread in the next day or two, and make it clear that we are looking for a healer. I will follow a similar process to the last recruiting drive (which netted us the always enjoyable Cervin!).

Reign of Winter GM |

Sorry for the delay! The recruitment thread has been setup, feel free to say hi to the potential new players and see what sorts of applicants we get!
I will privately message each of you after entries are closed to see if you have any characters you would (or wouldn't) want to play with. You can also send me notes with your preferences as you notice them.

Reign of Winter GM |

Those of you who haven't already, please provide me with your thoughts if you are leaning towards any candidates (or away from any!). I'd like to pick players that you all want to play with as well.
For reference, here is the final list of applicants:
- Oliver Huffman, Male Half-Elf Oracle
- Helda Roamsworld, Female Human(Kellid) Druid (Arctic Druid, Shoanti Shaman)
- Nevinia, Female Half-Elf Winter Witch
- Olrune, Male Half-Orc Cleric/Fighter
- Yekaterina, Female Human Winter Witch
- Sekki, Female Human Winter Witch
- Okrin Goodspeed, Male Human Cleric of Nethys
- Duardlen Ferneril, Male Elf Cleric of Shelyn
- Elise Sunwake, Female Half-elf Cleric of Sarenrae
- Asta Ragnarsdottir, Female Human(Ulfen) Lunar Oracle
- Leandric Svarich, Male Human (Taldan) Alchemist (Chirurgeon)

Reign of Winter GM |

Based on the feedback I received, I have selected Nevinia, Female Half-Elf Winter Witch to join the party.
Please say hello, and I'll be introducing her shortly into the plot.
Nevinia, you should be able to use your remaining funds to buy healing potions and any other supplies, but let me know when you've bought everything and I'll have one last look before okaying your inventory. Some of the gear will be unlikely to have been acquired by Nevinia in Heldren, but the fey that have captured her would have these supplies themselves, so she between the two I think most gear should be okay.

Nevinia |

Thank you! I'm looking forward to joining the action. Thanks to everyone for letting me join the game!
Regarding the spending of the money, I ask how I should spend it because I can brew the potions and craft the alchemical things. Should I spend at full price, or at crafting prices?

Reign of Winter GM |

I think for the initial build, it might be better to do it full price. I think that will give a more fair starting point. Obviously you'll be able to start crafting at the usual prices going forwards.
Nevinia, for your starting point you will have been captured by the wintry fey while wondering in the Border Wood outside of Heldren (likely while trying to follow Arkady). I think it makes sense if some of your gear is stockpiled by the fey that you can claim as you are rescued by the rest of the party (anything fire-based would not be kept by the fey due to their icy background). You will be found towards the end of the current round of combat (depending on how it progresses).
