Compucast does what he can to bolster his relationship with teh android bar tenders.

K'Klacklun triggers his program with the controls for the nightclub. The two android bartenders flee as the chaos begins, and the patrons all begin to flee. The guards quickly look around, see you, and then continue looking around. since you were so successful with them earlier, they will stay out of the fight for a bit.
Storming out from the inner office is clearly the man who runs the place. He is clearly here to stop you.
The fleeing customers make the entire club difficult terrain for now, but all of you who made the disguise check earlier will be harder to hit because of the crowd you blend in with.

Kalkan makes his way through the crowd, pushing through the cracks. Once he gets to a place where he can see the man unhindered, he pulls out his rifle. "Slavery is illegal in the Pact Worlds. A Steward would turn you in. But that's not me anymore." He jerks up his rifle and fires at the owner, eyes angry. That's for my fully Augmented friends.

going to push us forward, since you guys already said what you want to do now.
With the boss dealt with and the guards ignoring you for a bit longer, you are able to go to the small inner office that you did not explore earlier. You find a safe there, and K'Klacklun is easily able to open the safe door with the routines he downloaded to his computer. Inside the safe, you find another ancient map piece like you already recovered. The safe also contains a bunch of business documents making clear Bogdin's business of android smuggling and slavery.
You carefully search the rest of the building, and are not able to find any androids other than the two bartenders. Evidently Bogdin's has no 'merchandise' present right now in this building. You are sure the authorities will be able to use the documents you've found to find and free any androids he has elsewhere.
When you return to the main room, you find that all the staff and all the customers have fled. On the bar, you see two red collars, clearly having been stomped on after being removed.
K'Klacklun |
"Oh, such violence!" K'Klacklun cries as he steps over the body of boss. "Now that those who were once imprisoned are free and we have what we were seeking, I have little desire to remain in this place. I certainly wouldn't want to have to explain our activities to the authorities--"
{{No offense to your former profession, of course.}} K'Klacklun mentally tries to assure Kalkan.
That was fast! Good work, team! Ready to move on.

Having collected the map piece you came here for and delivered a blow for android freedom, you return to your ship. You travel back to Absalom Station, since Venture Captain Arvin left you a message congratulating you on your success and asking you to return.
When you arrive, Historia 7 sends you a brief message, thanking you on behalf of all androids.
I'm pausing things here, just before your meeting with Venture Captain Arvin so we can get a few things ready in discussion.
Kalkan Toprak |
Kalkan grimaces at the fallen master. "A pity that it had to come to bloodshed, but I will weep no tears over this man." At the safe, he takes careful photos of the evidence. "Old habits die hard. I'll send these, and the location of the safe, to authorities once we're on the shuttle." He is quiet during the rest of the trip, composing a letter to his partners.
Compucast |
"We have what we came for. And did a good thing on the side. That is reward enough." notes the stern Vesk.
Deloran Starrunner |
Standing over the boss's body
I am sorry it had to come to this, such a waste.
Looking around at the group
he didn't even have a chance to give up did he?
His mood is a little somber as the group heads back to the shuttle.

When you arrive at Absalom Station, you receive a communication from Venture Captain Arvin. He tells you where to find your ship for the next part of your journey in one of the arms of Absalom Station. When you arrive, final preparations are underway for the Loreseeker’s takeoff. You are quickly escorted aboard. As soon as you settle in, you find another message waiting for you.
"Bandits stalk the fields
Two sisters long since passed
Allies feast upon stone"
We believe the “two sisters” represent the shattered worlds of Damiar and Lovo that now make up the Diaspora asteroid field. After following that lead, I found a local group of dwarven miners from the Silverbrew clan. It appears they happened upon the three fragments of the tablet, but lately they’ve been having problems with smugglers. They say the smugglers have uncovered and sold off the other two pieces, but the Silverbrew leader has promised us the fragment they were able to hold on to in exchange for dealing with these criminals.
The Loreseeker, one of the Starfinder Society’s most prestigious
exploration vessels, makes its way out of Absalom Station. The
ship gracefully weaves through the light traffic of spacefaring
vessels. Aside from a near-miss with an impatient kasathan
transport, the trip out of Absalom Station’s orbit is uneventful.
Once at a safe distance, the Loreseeker speeds up for a full-burn
towards the nearby Diaspora asteroid field.

"Finally, to travel in comfort!" K'Klacklun remarks.
Compucast |
Compucast settles into the science officers seat.
"The computers are... adequate... I suppose." he mutters.
Then he sets about doing a scan of near space.
"Any smugglers had best beware us. This is a nice ship."
Garven |
Garven is uncomfortable on the ship, always feeling someone else could do whatever job he has better.
"I can take up a gunner station, or help out in engineering if needed. Ready to get underway, captain."
Kalkan Toprak |
Kalkan settles into the captains chair, only a little uncomfortable in his new role. " The Stewards trained us for many different scenarios. Hopefully I can give valuable advice. " He looks around nervously then starts pushing buttons, for "practice".
Spacefarer Redelia |
Your journey to the mining station takes 5 days. The facility is inactive and surrounded by a field of varying sized asteroids. Thankfully, the rocks are in a relatively stable orbit, making the approach relatively simple. The facility rests atop a particularly large asteroid, and the telltale yellow hazard striping of dwarven architecture can be seen from cursory visual scans. The entire space around the complex appears to be completely abandoned.

K'Klackun, with the help of Compucast and Kalkan, discovers that there are several energy signatures in the asteroids. One of them is from a vessel, and the others are from defensive turrets on some of the asteroids.
A slim, dagger-like vessel emerges from a hiding spot between two particularly large asteroid clusters, its olive-colored hull showing signs of recent and incomplete repairs. It approaches at a slow, cautious speed.
The hologram of a ysoki dressed in fine clothes and gaudy jewelry appears in the Loreseeker’s bridge, a wide grin on his face. "You’ve come a long way, travelers. You can call me Mr. Smiles. I’m everyone’s best friend around these parts.” The ysoki, Mr. Smiles, looks off to the side, nodding at some unheard comment. “Of course. Crank, Stock, Shell, Shuffle, and Breach all say hi. So, what can Her humble grandchildren do for you?"

Sorry the best I have is a +1 to Diplomacy
Kalkan Toprak |
Their grandmother is on that ship? Odd... very odd... Kalkan shifts in his seat, uncomfortable with the silence. "Well, I suppose the captain should respond... "
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
His harsh answer grating voice echoes through the void. "Hello. I am Kalkan, of the Starfinders. This is my crew. We are not here to harm you. You appear to have sustained damage. Please, tell us your story and how we can help."
Spacefarer Redelia |
Garven, you recognize ‘Her humble grandchildren’ as a saying sometimes used by followers of Lao Suo Po, a neutral evil goddess of assassins, rats, and thieves.
"Grandmother will protect us. We appreciate your concern, however. What are you doing here?"
Because Kalkan succeeded so well at that diplomacy check, he can keep Mr. Smiles talking long enough for your science officer to do two computers checks. The first will be a scan of the enemy ship. The other will be a scan of the surrounding asteroids, and success may allow you to do something that will assist you in the coming fight.
Compucast |
"This looks not to be going well.." mutters Compucast. He sets to work using the Pegasus's scanners, grabbing spare time from the computer as he does so.

computers scan asteroid, computer startship bonus, startship computer bonus: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 28
"Well.. here is something interesting..."
The Pegasus gives a +2 bonus to computers checks. The computer itself can also give a +1 bonus each round on two checks, I've assumed these stack
Spacefarer Redelia |
Compucast's scan of the other ship is successful.
I'll give you the results when I set up the actual combat, since it will be more helpful then.
He also is able to narrow in on the other sources of energy signatures, and finds two traps set up among the asteroids. Computers check to disable the traps. This can also be done before combat starts, since Kalkan's diplomacy roll was so good.
K'Klacklun |
"Mr. Smiles!" K'Klacklun cheers. "Certainly sounds like a friendly name and it appears that he is a part of a big, happy family. Thank the Forever Queen! I was afraid, at one point, that the other ship might be unfriendly. It would certainly be nice to complete a mission for the Society that didn't involve some sort of dreadful violence."
K'Klacklun |
"What do you know of smiling, anyways?" K'Klacklun responds, rather indignantly.
Compucast |
"Traps on the Asteroids..." mutters Compucast as he streams the other ship and asteroid specs to the other starfinder's consoles.
"I'm going to try and disable those traps, unless you think we can lure them into their own snares?"
computers to disable: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 + 1 = 26
"And there is little that is dreadful about violence. Unless you are subject to it youself. Even then it makes you stronger."
K'Klacklun |
K'Klacklun rubs his antennas, assuming that he must have heard Compcast incorrectly. "I suppose that I will have to increase the efficiency of the accoustics of the ship's intercom system."
Compucast |
Compucast runs a quick internal systems check.
"I see no reported problems with internal communications." he says worridly.
Spacefarer Redelia |
Compucast is satisfied he dealt with the traps in the asteroid field.
After chatting with you for a bit, Mr. Smiles turns to the screen, and his smile grows quite feral. "Now, you may either leave the area, or we will destroy you." He seems to rather relish the idea of destroying you.
Kalkan Toprak |
Kalkan briefly mutes his microphone during the conversation with the other ship. "Friends, I think it may be time to move to battle stations. I fear Mr. Smiles is not our friend..."
K'Klacklun |
K'Klacklun checks the intercom system again. "It sounded like Mr. Smiles said that he would 'destroy' us?!" the shirren notes in apparent disbelief. "There must be something quite wrong with this system as seeing to our destruction would seem to require considerable expenditure of effort for no discernable reason."
K'Klacklun |
"Your opinion has neither been requested nor is presently desired." K'Klacklun says dismissively. Finding no apparent glitches within the intercom system, the shirren concludes that perhaps it is his hearing that is not working correctly.
After all, he notes quietly to himself, audible communication is such an imperfect means of conveying thoughts. Nevertheless, he takes a position at an engineering station, shaking his head as he anticipates the possibility of the vessel taking on damage.
Compucast |
Compucast checks out the assessment of the other ship.
"Our mission will not allow us to depart. I suggest we target their engines first to maximise our tactical advantages over their ship."
Deloran Starrunner |
Distroy us, first he has to catch us
Deloran checks to make sure his seat harness is secure and then his hands flies over the key board programming evasive maneuvers into the ships computer.
